I have two forms on my website: An interest-gauging form where the client fills in their name, email, and a brief message, and a longer form that they’re emailed later. 📄I’d rather not have “John Smith” in two separate databases. Is there a way, upon submitting the second form, for the answers to be combined with or added to the records from the first form, like if they share the same email address or something? 🤔

Just curious if anyone here uses a form on a website as a contact submission form. Do you have a problem with spam entries? I’m thinking of replacing my contact form with an embedded Airtable form.

Hey guys I am new to airtable and trying to develop a weekly schedule for our team based on the projects that are scheduled for that week.We have approx. 20 staff in the field each week, multiple projects running each day and each week. Some projects will only last one day, others might last 5-10 days.I have managed to develop the full week schedule with staff assigned to each job. However, we often need to change the staff each day on each job i.e. a project that lasts 5 days might have different people on it each day. Is there a way to show this view for a week, with the different people on the projects on each dayHere is a picture of our current excel spreadsheet we use that I am trying to replicate Thanks heaps

I’m new to Airtable and could use some advice on setting up my workspace. I’m trying to use Airtable for project management on our self GC custom home build. Right now, I’ve set up: A Budget table (very detailed with financial info) A Schedule/Stages table (broad view of schedule, start & end date, duration, contractor) A Sub-Stages table (all of the “tasks” under each stage, status, priority, responsible party, notes, etc.) The problem I’m running into is that the line items in my Budget table are identical to the line items in my Sub-Stages table. I’d like to avoid duplicating them, but I’m stuck because Airtable doesn’t allow lookups directly from the primary field in another table and I feel like I am missing a better way to do this.What’s the best way to structure this so that my budget line items can also feed into my sub stages, while still keeping

Hi fantastic people, I am struggling with an automation.  I basically have one base that I have synched to my main base, certain rows. I then want these rows from the synched view to populate onto my main table. I have managed to get the event name to populate over but the dates do not. I have screen shots of each step below. Any help would be great.  This screen shot you can see the Main Sub Task populates to the Topic fine. I then want the Main Start Date to populate to the Enter Start Date and the Main End Date to the Enter End Date.  This is the actions part which fails: This is the update record part which is successful

I am using airtable to dynamic my website content and erliear it was working but now because of i have free version and too many request are there in the website so it shows me “429” error code and data doesnot fetched.

I have a `rollup` column, `A` that returns a `date`.  for example, 2024-07-24.I have a `lookup` column, `B`, that returns an array of dates.  For example, 2018-07-31, 2021-07-30, 2024-10-08Is there a way to  determines if any of the dates in column `B` are within 30 days (before or after) of the date in column `A`?  I need the formula to return a boolean.

I have a fairly simple database containing 5 or 6 tables. All of these tables are joined one way or another. I am trying to create a word document using Formstack and to run it via the manual integration which I intend to automate through the use of a button in an Interface when I get this working. I have built my first document and mapped all of the field tokens from my Airbase table into my Formstack document and it works a treat. I have now gone to build my second document which uses some fields from the table which I am in when I select the record in Airtable from the integration but it also references so fields from another table albeit in the same base. These fields do not pull through. I have recreated a link field and chosen to show the “add look ups” fields from the other table in the table where I am running the document form, re-written the placeholder references for Formstack and hey presto, it works! Hi,We run a photo studio CRM with Airtable, and would like to start storing customer end product images there. This would mean some 20-30 images at 2-3 mega each and hundreds of customers annually. We’re on the Team plan so have 20 gigs limitation per base for attachments, so space would end quite soon.The for me easy and obvious solution was to write to Airtable sales to ask if one could just pay for more storage, since we don’t need the Business plan additional features (and eventually that would also hit storage limitations), but they don’t seem to be responding.I know the storage limit is per base so I guess one could somehow create more bases just for adding attachment storage, but I don’t see how to do that. And it seems this would create problems when we need the second, the the third “extra” base.Hence my question here, what would your experiences be with this?Any best practices here?Rgds,Björn

Hi there! I’m just curious how I enforce unique values in a column or a group of columns – that is, how to enforce a unique constraint. So that I don’t, for example, accidentally enter the same person (combination First Name + Last Name) twice.

Hi there, I’m trying to set up an airtable automation to update an existing record in a table “new members” after that member submits additional information through the airtable form I’ve embedded on my website. The form is set up to automatically add their Memberstack ID to the new submission so I can match it to existing records and use this to update them but I cannot get the automation to work as it seems to be based on the Record ID field, not Memberstack ID. Hi there — I suspect the answer is ‘you can’t’, but is there any way to restrict a user to only be allowed to upload a single attachment to an attachment field in a Form view?

I have created a form to create new Project records. Each project requires a unique ID which matches a particular format (XXXX-000).How can I make sure that no-one uses an existing unique ID when filling out the form? I really need to avoid duplicate Projects, as creating a new Project has a lot of downstream actions which can get messed up if an ID already exists.I have another form which can create new versions of an existing Project, which I can use as a redirect URL if necessary.Many thanks in advance!

I'm trying to set up an automation so an email is sent out to a client when their video's status changes to CLIENT REVIEW. Specifying that wasn't a problem. However, when testing it, I keep getting an error message that the To field is empty. I've mapped it to a field containing an email address, and specified the exact record to use set to the correct Status, but keep getting this error. The token is set to pull the Value. I've tried the other options but get the same (non) result.How do I get this to work?Thanks

Today I noticed that the images I add are not showing up in the grid, kanban, Gallery, and Interface view. Some of the pictures will show once you click on them but they wont show as a thumbnail. and when I click to view other images they don't show the thumbnail nor the image, they only show an error message. I started to troubleshoot by trying to attach different image types and sizes but to no avail. I also tried attaching the same exact images from records I made last week but they too are now showing this error image:“Previews for this filetype are not available”File: dsc_6285(2).webp - 10.8 KBThe 3rd image will show when I click on it but it wont show as a thumbnail. The images I attached last week are showing up still, as a thumbnail. look at where the red arrow is pointing.  To clarify, yes, I am only clicking the “Add Attachment” button to upload my images. No automation.  I’d be very grateful if anyone can help. Please let me know

Problem: I have a membership table with members listed by name. I want to keep people from typing their information into the membership form on our website that feeds into the table twice. There is no way that I can see for me to set a field to not allow duplicate entries. I would like to set the phone number as the unique identifier for each member. I see no way to select or set this field to not allow duplicates. I know I could that in Access by setting it as primary, but I can’t do that in Airtable.

Hello! Anyone know how to set or change your name in this new community platform?I signed in with SSO, it just assigned me this name (jon21), and I don’t seem to have any way to change it 🙄. I also never received the ‘Welcome’ badge, in case that impacts how I initialise in the platform.

I’m trying to create a system that generates simple codes from employees’ SSNs for internal use. The SSN is stored as numbers, e.g., 123-45-6789.I want to create a new formula field that converts each number into a letter using a reverse alphabet mapping:Z = 1, Y = 2, X = 3 … A = 26For example: 1 → Z 2 → Y 0 → J (or another letter of choice) Is there a formula in Airtable that can do this conversion directly?For reference, numberstoletters.com does similar conversions, but I want to implement it directly in Airtable.
