I want to update a record when a field condition is met, and currently the “Update Record” automation only seems to use any value/change to the field. What I am trying to do when the “Status” field is updated, and ONLY when it’s Value is changed to “Used” do I want to execute the update. Right now when the value is changed from Used to Unused, it runs the automation. Any guide on what combination of actions I can use to do this?

Hi! I’ve tried a few different ways of doing this and can’t seem to figure it out. I’m importing some data into a new base and there’s a field that has update notes on different lines all formatted the same. I’d love to figure out an automation to add each line to a linked table as separate updates connected to the parent field. Okay, looking for brainstorms/solutions. I use Go High Level for almost all of my business management. The one area where I struggle mightily to rely on GHL is calendars. So, I'm implementing Airtable. All my events. All in one place. Folks can register for more than one at a time. GLORIOUS. Until I want to send confirmation emails & reminder emails/texts. I'm trying to decide whether it's easier to do that communication through Airtable and then send it over to GHL for record keeping, OR....whether to send registration info to GHL and then handle all confirmations/reminders from there. I need easy/medium difficulty (with Chat GPT assistance!) to create and reliable replication as we grow. Suggestions????

Hello! I have a table which is sort of like a job application portal for our company. We have a google form which is filled along with roles and role specific questions which then we bring into airtable for screening. Now we wish to have a technical round (Round 1) which is through a seperate google form. I wanted help to get the score from the google form/google sheet into this application portal. As i understand there will be separate source data for the application form and for the Round 1 evaluation form (Seperate google sheets). Hence there might need to be some automation required to be able to match the data of both the sources and add it to the same table. I intend to use the email ID as the matching parameters since the forms are filled using google accounts.

’ve created four tables. Clients is the master table. New submissions from my intake form go straight into Clients.The other three tables are Service_1, Service_2, and Service_3. When I deliver, say, Service 1 to someone who already exists in Clients, I want to link that service record to the existing client—not just type their name again.Concretely: if I start a new record in Service_1 and type “John Doe,” I want that entry to reference the same John Doe in the Clients table, so I can pull his saved info (email, phone, notes) via lookups—rather than duplicating data.What’s the best way to do this?

Hi, I feel this is a tough one and I would like to have some help to figure out where to start.I have a table of contacts and I want to send batch html emails to some of them only, depending on conditions, eg by country. It would also like to populate those emails with data coming from the contacts records, but also from other tables depending on what those batch emails will be about.Here’s a simplified example of what I need. One day I may need to send information about project A (from a “project” table) to my contacts in Canada. A week later I may need to send information about project B to my contacts in England.How would you do something like that? I expect I will need to use some sort of extension like Make, or maybe sendgrid? And maybe some sort of “Campaign” table, and automations?Thanks all for the help!

The main goal is simple: we need to merge the results of 25+ different assessment outcomes (Core Prompts) into a single Linked Record field on our final tracking table. Basically, we need the system to reliably weld 25 lists of IDs into one final master list. -Our Automation Setup  Structure: We have 25+ independent Automations, each dedicated to one Core Prompt (e.g., "Pain," "Swallowing"). Trigger: All 25+ Automations are set to trigger at the same time when a new assessment record is created. Action Flow: Each Automation executes a quick sequence: △Action 1 (Find): Finds all related Care Problem records based on a Formula field value (the core prompt name). △Action 2 (Write): Executes an Update Record to append the found list of Problem IDs to the target record.-Obser

This is kind of complicated and I’m not sure if it will be possible, but here goes. I’m trying to automate data entry for each record I create in my Project table. What I have set up now is a Long Text field called “Paste” where I paste the contents of an email, and several field agents that comb through the text of that email to fill out fields like Project Name, Project Type, Notes, etc. Each email contains the name of several people associated with the project’s production team: directors, writers, and producers. I have a separate table that is a Master Contact List of all the names that have ever been entered, and in my main Project table, I have a linked field called Production Team that links to the Master Contact List. Multiple linked records are allowed so that multiple people can be logged in that field in the Project table. Right now, I have to manually enter all the names. Hey, I’m trying to achieve a scheduled reminder for the people assigned to the records. I have the whole logic defined, but it looks like the simplest solution of using “Actionable message” within “repeat for each” within the list doesn’t work (as Actionable message is waiting for action before moving forward).  Any other ideas on how to approach it in an easy and clean way without adding extra fields in the database?Also, Airtable Team, it would be awesome if this could be actually improved on your end if possible :) 

This one is a little convoluted and I can’t figure out where I’ve gone wrong. I have three tables - course list, participant list, and course completion status. I set up an automation so that when a participant is added to the linked field in course list, or a course is added to the linked field in the participants table, it creates a record in course completion with that information.What is happening is that the new record will do one of three things: it will link to the correct record in the course list, it will link to a different record in the course list, or it will create a new record in the course list. Hi, all! We’re using Airtable to intake scheduling for content, and have an automation that builds a secondary record for later content updates based on information provided in the intake form.As a second step in that automation, I’m trying to send a note to a Teams channel to confirm the automation has run and alert our team that there’s a new task scheduled on the update date .. but every time I test the automation, the update date generates blank in the preview and comes through blank in the Teams message as well, even though the field itself is populated in the original record (that’s one of the conditions).Is there anything I could be doing wrong, or is this just a quirk that will be worked out at some point?

I am using airtable to push emails out via my gmail. However gmail says they’re bouncing back but airtable doesn’t seem to track those emails that have bounced in gmail. I want to be able to change the status to “Bounced” and then automate to use another email i have in the airtable.  

Is there a good method where when I apply to a job in LinkedIn that it would trigger or gather the details of the job--company name, position, date applied, etc. and export/import the data into my AirTable base as part of my job search?  

I am on the Free plan for now trying to make sure everything will work …. I’ve got a Find records and no matter what it only returns 10 records, even if I make the only condition where it should catch them all. For example the primary field of “Name” is not empty. Or switching to a View based and still the same result.Is the free account limited on the number of found records? or am I being a major bonehead on my action...

I have an automation that invokes an API taht requires authentication credentials. What is the best way to store those credentials so they cannot be read outside of the automation? Does the input.config do anything to obfuscate them?

Hi all, I have been struggling to figure out a way to solve this all day. I am wanting to track checked out laboratory media in an interface graph so that team members who create the media can see how much is being used per week. I’d like this to be automated for the previous week, but specifically Monday through Sunday of the previous week (so that you can check any day of the current week and the numbers would remain the same for the previous week). My plan for this was to set an automation trigger for early Monday morning, that then finds all records within the last 7 days (all checked out items have creation dates + times for the check-out record), and then marks them with a date for the previous week’s Monday, using the Update Record command (which would be found using a formula field consisting of DATEADD(NOW(), -7, 'days'), which will return the previous Monday (because the trigger to pull from this field is occurring Monday morning). The interface would then pull from values

I know this has been raised before as a feature request but is there a way to add a default value to a date field through automations or some other mechanism other than pleading airtable to implement or a third party add-on? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I’m currently testing the ai field agent’s capabilities for automatized tagging of records, but I’ve come across a limitation that I seek to overcome with your help: No centralized tag management. When using the field agent for direct ai tagging, I have not found any option to provide tags in a centralized way, similar to how you can do with linked fields for human tagging. There is the ai recommendation option integrated into the linked record field, but this does only add a recommendation for human usage. Is there a way to have it both? The centralized tagging table and ai field agent tagging? I’m considering injecting an accumulated list, of all entries in my tag table, into the prompt of a simple text ai field agent and have it output it’s selection as a list, which hopefully could be linked via automatization features.
