Hello! I’m trying to create an automation that allows me to add someone to a collaborator field without replacing any data that is already in the field. Is this possible? That is, if 3 people are already in the collaborator field and I want to add a fourth via an automation, can the fourth be added without removing the other 3 that are already in the field?

Hi, all! We’re using Airtable to intake scheduling for content, and have an automation that builds a secondary record for later content updates based on information provided in the intake form.As a second step in that automation, I’m trying to send a note to a Teams channel to confirm the automation has run and alert our team that there’s a new task scheduled on the update date .. but every time I test the automation, the update date generates blank in the preview and comes through blank in the Teams message as well, even though the field itself is populated in the original record (that’s one of the conditions).Is there anything I could be doing wrong, or is this just a quirk that will be worked out at some point?

I am using airtable to push emails out via my gmail. However gmail says they’re bouncing back but airtable doesn’t seem to track those emails that have bounced in gmail. I want to be able to change the status to “Bounced” and then automate to use another email i have in the airtable.  

Is there a good method where when I apply to a job in LinkedIn that it would trigger or gather the details of the job--company name, position, date applied, etc. and export/import the data into my AirTable base as part of my job search?  

I am on the Free plan for now trying to make sure everything will work …. I’ve got a Find records and no matter what it only returns 10 records, even if I make the only condition where it should catch them all. For example the primary field of “Name” is not empty. Or switching to a View based and still the same result.Is the free account limited on the number of found records? or am I being a major bonehead on my action...

I have an automation that invokes an API taht requires authentication credentials. What is the best way to store those credentials so they cannot be read outside of the automation? Does the input.config do anything to obfuscate them?

Hi all, I have been struggling to figure out a way to solve this all day. I am wanting to track checked out laboratory media in an interface graph so that team members who create the media can see how much is being used per week. I’d like this to be automated for the previous week, but specifically Monday through Sunday of the previous week (so that you can check any day of the current week and the numbers would remain the same for the previous week). My plan for this was to set an automation trigger for early Monday morning, that then finds all records within the last 7 days (all checked out items have creation dates + times for the check-out record), and then marks them with a date for the previous week’s Monday, using the Update Record command (which would be found using a formula field consisting of DATEADD(NOW(), -7, 'days'), which will return the previous Monday (because the trigger to pull from this field is occurring Monday morning). The interface would then pull from values

I know this has been raised before as a feature request but is there a way to add a default value to a date field through automations or some other mechanism other than pleading airtable to implement or a third party add-on? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I’m currently testing the ai field agent’s capabilities for automatized tagging of records, but I’ve come across a limitation that I seek to overcome with your help: No centralized tag management. When using the field agent for direct ai tagging, I have not found any option to provide tags in a centralized way, similar to how you can do with linked fields for human tagging. There is the ai recommendation option integrated into the linked record field, but this does only add a recommendation for human usage. Is there a way to have it both? The centralized tagging table and ai field agent tagging? I’m considering injecting an accumulated list, of all entries in my tag table, into the prompt of a simple text ai field agent and have it output it’s selection as a list, which hopefully could be linked via automatization features.

Hello the script I am pairing with my tables is not running a test and giving me feedback on whether it is completed or not.  It just started today as well.  I checked my account limits and have not exceeded them.  Can anyone advise on this issue?

Hi,I have two tables : “clients” and “registration form”. I want to be able to send a registration form to any client no mater if the client is already in my “clients” table or not. (I also have a course table). Lets say I ask for the clients email in the form. If the clients email is already present in my “Clients” table, I want to link the newly created “registration form” record to that specific client in the “Clients” table. If not, I want to create a new record in the “Clients” table with the new client info. Is it possible to achieve this with Airtable or with other tools like fillout? Thank you very much!

Hello.I am new to Airtable and I have a question concerning linking to another record. Is it possible to automate this process so that data from every record from a field (column) on the "source" table may be copied to a field on the "target" table? The data would need to be consecutive and ordered by the same ID number used on both tablesI found a JavaScript online that may work, unfortunately, 1) I have the free plan and scripting is not supported; and 2) my experience with JavaScript is limited. I added a third party add-in, however, the apparent complexity of the application may prove to be problematic.Any guidance would be appreciated.Thanks!

Hi, I would like to send requests from Airtable to Make.com/n8n, how can I do that ? Is it only for Enterprise plan ?

Does Airtable still not have the ability to keep data when updating a record? For example, when using automation, if the form field is left blank and is submitted it wipes data from the record that is being updated. I have heard you can do this with scrip, but I can’t write the script and I am on a free plan.

I wanted to make a Siri Shortcut that lets me upload a screenshot to Airtable. In my Airtable I have these fields: Screenshot ID (autonumber) Screenshot attachment Descriptive text I got pretty far but either the webhook doesn’t allow images or I’m doing something wrong. I set up the shortcut to make the webhook request using the “Get contents of URL” command in shortcuts. Under “Request body” I selected “Form” and then told the shortcut to send the screenshot and some text to describe it. That seems to be the only way shortcuts allows files to be sent out, the other options are text only. When I test the integration in airtable, it works as long as I’m not trying to send an image. I am using a Free account right now and have a fairly simple automation where every month, if a record as Due Date in the past, the Benefit Interval is 1 I want to update two fields. I want to update the Due Date to the next month, and change the Status to “Unused”. I have successfully tested and run this when there is a single record that meets the criteria however when there is more than one record it errors out. Here is the one that works.  However when two records meets the Find Records criteria and get the error “Received invalid inputs.” Works like a champ for a single record update, just not multiple

Is there a way to use Airtable sync to conditionally sync data from one base to another? I need to only sync specific records and not all of the records in table.If it is not possible using Airtable sync, is there any other way of accomplishing this?

When creating a PRD or similar and I want to copy a User into the file so they are aware of the update I have always used the @ sign and selected the email from the dropdown list. When I then come out of this the email has automatically been sent. Do I also need to set up an automation? I have not done this previously as it is not always to the same person / group. 

Hi all! I have a problem that I feel should have an obvious solution: I’d like to set up an Automation that normalizes a string value after input by base collaborators. However, the Automation appears to run too early, catching only parts of the input string. (This behavior is not consistent, though: From time to time the Automation will catch the whole string.) I selected When record updated as trigger and configured it to watch only for changes in a specific field (in my case: Keyword). Example from the screenshot: The entered text is “Aldi Angebote”, but the Automations appears to run already after the first letters are typed in, so only “Ald” is used as Automation input. What’s the best way to solve this problem? Is there a better trigger for this use case that I am missing?
