I have an automation that sends students an email thanking them for being a part of a short-term trip with the school and I was wondering if Airtable or an extension that I do not know of, could track the engagement of the student on if they opened the email, or if they clicked on a link, etc. I want to make sure that the email is the most optimized to get the most survey responses possible!
Hi! I need some help, we have a team of people who are linking their gmail accounts so we can send email automations through their personal gmail accounts. I have the automations set up and each team member is going in to link their accounts. Four of the team members were successful, but two people are having issues. The drop down to add their account is not available (greyed out so they can’t click it and add their account). Any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it?
Hi Everyone,I have an idea that I am really struggling with and would appreciate some help. GoalCreate a script/Automation that loops through table 1 to find matching record based on multiple conditions and link those records with table 2.Base structure:ListingListing contains all the properties we have in our portfolio and has various field types. For this specific idea, here are the ones that matter:House_Listing_Price (number)House_Budget_Range (single select)House_ViewType (multiple select)House_bedroom (#)House_land_type (single select)House_property_type (single select)House_region (linked records -> third table containing list of region)OpportunitiesList of all active house searches we have for clients. For this specific idea, here are the ones that matter:Budget range (multiple select)View type (multiple select)Min. # Bedrooms (#)Land type (multiple select)Property type (multiple select)Region (linked records -> third table containing list of region)IdeaOpportun
Good afternoon, everyone, I’m now trying to set up my tables so when “Shoot Date” is updated in the “Shooting Schedule” table, the box is checked under “Interview Scheduled?” in “Interviewees’ Contact Status” for the corresponding interviewee, in this case, Alan Barker. Shooting ScheduleInterviewee Contact StatusHowever, I’m running into issues when setting up the automation. I think I’ve pinpointed what the issue is based on reading previous threads in this forum with similar problems to mine which is that the Record ID is not changing from the ‘Trigger’ to the ‘Action’ step:AutomationSo, I’m kind of stuck as I don’t know how to find a different Record ID so I can get the ‘action’ to work successfully.TROUBLESHOOTING I’VE DONE SO FAR:For the trigger step, I’m not entirely sure how many fields I’m supposed to select. I only selected “Shoot Date” initially and the automation didn’t work so I thought the issue might be I didn’t select “Cast” which is a linked record to the database of in
I’m trying to automate period assignment in Airtable and want to check whether I’m missing something or if this just isn’t possible without scripting.I have a Periods table where each record has a Start Date and End Date for a 13-period fiscal year. In other tables like Orders, Packaging, and Transfers, each record has a single Date. What I want is for a record to automatically link to the correct Period when it’s created or when its Date is updated, based on whether that Date falls between the Period’s Start Date and End Date.I haven’t been able to find a native way to do this. Automations don’t seem to allow comparing one date field to another date field, Find records can’t evaluate date ranges using the triggering record’s Date, and rollups and filters don’t allow referencing parent record fields. Because of that, the only options I can see are manually selecting the Period or using a script.Has anyone in the community has found a native way to automate date range based period linki
I’m wanting to automate posting of Slack messages using the Block framework, to simply have a nice URL button, but when I submit even example code pulled from Slack’s API docs, the code simply posts as text, the blocking doesn’t seem to apply. What am I missing? Is there something either in Airtable or Slack to turn Blocks on?
Very new to the platform and I’m getting a little tired of my AI support running me around in endless loops…I am trying to build a table that extracts a number of metrics out of my data through a series of rollups. I would like this metrics table to auto-populate based on the name field, so that each individual in my database has their metrics pulled in. Right now my trigger is When a record matches the conditions-->Name is not empty;then a Find Records step aimed at my database table, based on the condition Where Name is exactly Name--->make a new list of… ID;and last is an Update record step aimed at my Metrics table Airtable record ID, using the field Shifts (linked) - which is a field in the metrics table that is linked to the data. However I’m not sure what choice to make in the Choose record(s) to link to, which is set to dynamic, in order to automatically find all the entries for that name in the database table and then carry those across to put into this Shifts (linked)
We have 800+ bases, each with several automations, and each automation can be sent to any number of recipients based on the project type. They are primarily external to our org and non-AT users. I’m trying to find a concise way to audit those email addresses to ensure they are still current and relevant. Can anyone give me any idea of a way to download/query/export this data without querying each base individually? Thanks

Hello everyone,I’m new to Airtable and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.I run a small insurance and finance company (about 2 years old), and I’m trying to sync data between two tables: Insurance Policies and Insurance Documents. The goal is for any changes made in the Policies table to automatically update the corresponding record in the Documents table.I’ve tried linking records, but that causes unwanted behavior (for example, it creates new records in the Policies table when I select Policy IDs in the Documents table). I then tried setting up automations, but I keep running into errors and loops.Below is the automation prompt I was attempting to follow:“Create an automation that keeps the Insurance Documents table perfectly in sync with the Insurance Policies table. Whenever a record in Insurance Policies is created or updated, find the matching record in Insurance Documents where the Policy ID matches the Policy Number. If a matching record exists, update:• Carrier
I want to look up certain related Procedure Records in my “PNP” table, then I want to add all the related Procedure Records to one field in every Work Record in another table. SO: Triggers: Possibly every time a Work record is created? or on a time schedule? A button?Step 1: Look up all related Procedures records based on a Work Record category fieldStep 2: For every Work Record, add all the related Procedures records to a “PNP” fieldShould be easy right? Just some ideas here but it didn't work at all..
Is there a way to automate the following scenario using any of the automation tools (like Make, Zapier)A change in a field in airtable triggers a 'create a campaign' on mailchimpThe campaign is reviewed and sent manually. The sent campaign triggers a 'change in status column' in the airtable. Is this kind of two-way sync possible? Thanks!
Hi all,I have 2 connected fillout quizzes. The first is set to create a record, which is working fine.In the end screen, I have a URL button linking to the next quiz. The second quiz is set to update a record, but in the results, it creates a new record.I add an ID in the URL parameter for both quizzes.Where do I go wrong, or what am I missing in the process?
I am doing a hiring and searching for jobs database. I have made the form for everyone involved but would like for them to be able to change their availability status after having submitted the form. Is that possible? I haven‘t upgraded my subscription, I am still using the free version. I am new in airtable, still trying to figure it out if it is the answer for what I am looking for before I start paying.
I am new to Airtable and need help or confidence about the process. I have created two interfaces, an intake form and a directory to organize the data collected from the form. I am unsure of how the form data populates the directory. Am I missing something?Thank you to all who reply.
Hello! I am banging my head against a wall trying to figure this out--maybe someone here can help! I want to update an Airtable record based on receiving a new email. The emails are automatically logged by subject line in Google Sheets. The subject line contains the same “Name” that matches the Airtable record, but it also contains other information--so the information in the Google Sheets cell does not match the Airtable field exactly. I would like to search the Google Sheet and find the Airtable record based on the information in the cell, but it seems like I can only locate the Airtable record if the information in the Sheet matches exactly. Basically, is there a way to swap these two fields, so that the automation is searching for the “Name” field in Airtable from the Google Sheet?
Hello, in my department we use Airtable for people to register when they want to attend any of our workshops. Is there a way to connect Airtable and Outlook and have some sort of automation where when someone registers for one of our workshops they automatically get a calendar invite on their outlook calendar about the event?
I have a base setup for a check in system. When a user checks in through the airtable form that triggers a notification to slack. Within the form users can upload an image file which I am able to see on airtable. The form is updating on slack but the image shows up as a url that when clicked it gives this error: “The link you're trying to visit is not available. Please visit our support center for more information.” Any ideas for how to troubleshoot this?
Hello and thanks in advance for reading and for your help ! :) I have a table called Modeles_de_mails where I store email templates. One field, Objet_du_mail, contains a subject with a placeholder that look like this :Nouvelle demande d’intervention {{Ressource}} In another table, Locations_ressources, I have a field named Ressource that contains the actual value I want to insert (for example: Planétarium). My goal is to automatically update the subject line so it becomes:Nouvelle demande d’intervention Planétarium based on the linked record’s Ressource value. I want to know: What is the correct way to replace a placeholder like {{Ressource}} with the value coming from a linked table? Do I have to use a Lookup field to bring the value into the template table, or is there any cleaner method? I saw some database good practice that tell to avoid as much as possible lookups and formulas inside database to avoid calcul and loading time. Is there a recommended pattern for managing email
Hey all, I noticed that my automations that rely on new rows as triggers on Google Sheets no longer seem to be triggering. I created a new base and a new sheet and tested, just to discard issues on my sheet or AT base, but it looks like this new automation didn’t work either. Is this issue happening to anyone else? I checked the status pages of Google and Airtable, but couldn’t find any info.
What are some good software options for automating generation of word docs using data from a record in Airtable? I would like to be able to trigger the automation in an Airtable interface (as opposed to an extension on the data side).
Hello everyone,I’ve created an Airtable to help manage pre-production workflows and am struggling to get what I think is a simple automation running; I’d like that when a record is assigned a contact person (The “Assigned?” field is “Yes”) and given an “Assignee” to carry out this task, that the status of that record be updated in the “Interviewees” table to “Contact Assigned.” This is the automation I’ve set up so far but no matter what I do, I keep getting the “Record does not exist” error.I can’t get it to update the status of the record within the “Interviewees” table. Now I’m wondering the problem lies in the fact that the record name or interviewee name is not the primary field in the ‘Interviewee contact status” table, but you can’t make a primary field a linked record. Is there any way to get around that or is that not the problem at all? Is this an automation problem or a table infrastructure problem? Thank you!
Hey everyone! I just launched ETL++ on the Airtable Marketplace. It pulls data from any API into your base with clean field mapping. What it does: Connect to any REST API (Yelp, Google Places, HubSpot, Stripe, your internal tools, etc..) Map JSON fields to Airtable columns visually Smart upserts: updates existing records, no duplicates Schedule auto-syncs every 30 min, hourly, daily, or weekly I’m actively collecting feedback and will build custom features for users.Give it a try and let me know what you think or what you wish to be added! Check it out here → ETL++ Questions? Need help setting up your first sync, or looking for ongoing support?Comment below or email requests@autometasolutions.comAlways happy to help!
Hello! I need some help with an automation setup.I’ve created an automation that ends with a loop step, and I would like to add one final action after the loop completes — for example, sending a notification once the last record in the loop has been processed. However, Airtable doesn’t allow adding steps after a loop, so I’m not sure how to handle this. What is the best practice to be notified when the entire automation (including the loop) has finished running? Is there a recommended workaround or pattern for this?Any advice would be very helpful, thank you!!
Hi Guys, Has anyone found a way to schedule an export of a view and send it as an email attachment as a csv natively in Airtable (possibly with a script)? Thanks
