Hello all,I’d like to configure my Airtable so that when the category for a record is labeled ‘Uncategorized’ it automatically triggers a certain ‘Status’ label. I’ve been following this tutorial: https://support.airtable.com/docs/repeating-groups-of-automation-actionsBut I get stuck when I reach the last step for the action as I’m not sure what to put in ‘record ID.’ Every time I run it, it updates the same record, but I want it to search for all records that have been labeled ‘Uncategorized’ and update their status. How do I do this? Thank you! 

I have over 30 Google Forms to Airtable automations setup which have been running very smoothly until this week when suddenly none of them are running anymore. I’ve tried resetting the connection but none of them want to trigger when a new form is completed. They only seem to work when I “run as configured” but that’s not really automated. 

As of today, our airtable automations that react to action triggers of certain fields in not really large tables are incredibly slow and sometimes freeze, so we have to disable and re-enable the automation.In addition, navigation in the backend is tedious and slow.Our tables have a very manageable size, the largest tables have around 1500 rows.Since we also use Softr as a UI, we also notice very poor performance here.What can we do?Edit: To make the severity a little bit clearer: Action Trigger was set at 2:54 pm and the automation was finished on 3:49pm! It simple copies a row from Table A to Table B! 

New to airtable. I’m looking to have Airtable create a record when someone submits a Google Form. See image below. Action Type > Google form/create response Connect Google Account + Select Google Form Spreadsheet: select spreadsheet. Worksheet: select worksheet Help: 5) Row data… I select the relevant rows from the spreadsheet, but then within each of the “Columns” I don’t see any data to pull on. Confused as to what I need to do next.

Hello everyone,In short, I am trying to use an automation to combine multiple single select linked fields into a single multi select linked record.I have two bases: projects and team. Depending on the complexity and size of the project, there may be 5-15 resources assigned. We assign these resources through their own single select linked field so that we can utilize the timeline/utilization function. This makes doing things for the entire team complicated - such as creating a distribution list for the team members -  as we have to create a lookup field for each resource's email, another field to combine them, and another field to format it. I thought a simple automation could address this issue. It is pretty simple: when one of the 15 single select linked records is updated, it updates the multi select "team" field with all the assigned resources. I am running into two issues: 1)If I don't put a separator, then the multi select merges them all together

Hi!I have setup email automations through Airtable (trigger: when a record enters a view - action: to send email through gmail).The issue is the email is being sent at midnight, which makes it evident that it is not a personal email from our team. How can I setup either the filter on the view, or the trigger/action so that all of our emails are sent at 8am PST? We have an enterprise account, so I feel like this has to be an easy solution, however everything I'm finding seems to incorporate like four additional columns and formulas, which seems really inefficient...

I have an automation that 1st Finds Records from a table then Inserts the Found Grid into an Email. I have static Emails and also want to Use Emails from the Found Records.  If all the Found Records Emails match is there a way to just add 1 instead of it putting in multiple identical Emails in the To:I imagine maybe a script but do not know how to write those. Bull

So as we know, we can now enable the creation of records in tables that have been synced from other bases. It's great. Massive improvement. But can someone confirm for me whether we should be able to do the same using the Create Record action in Automations? Should spend my time doing a workaround or bug hunting? Hi,I created an email automation, successfully ran tests and they all worked. I even saw the test emails on my sent folder items. However, when I published by toggling the "on" bar, the automation emails were not sent. I even created an update record to verify that emails have been sent, I performed a test to confirm the triggers were correct. It worked! the email test was seen in my sent folder of my email box, the update record trigger for that one I tested worked but the mass email automation has not been sent. What am I doing wrong or perhaps how long does it take for the email automation runs to work successfully? 

I'm trying to set up an automated email to email our clients with a feedback form (not an Airtable form, we use a different platform). The feedback form needs to be tailored to each individual, so I've added a field for the link for each record. In the automated email, I'm using the "choose data from" tool to insert the form url from the record. However, when I generate the preview, there is nothing left. I've attached screen shots of the draft email vs the preview. How do I make the link appear in the email??

Hi! I'm new at this. I want to send a scheduled email to a subgroup of contacts and pull in specific Airtable data into the body of the email and pull in the email addresses from the database. I'm using the gmail integration.In the "To" field I'm using the + to pull in email addresses from the base structure and the test keeps failing. It says "Invalid email address in the "to" field: fldU4hKNRZaMDR6U3".  The other fields in the body of the email that I'm pulling in from the base structure say FIELD ID instead of what the actual field name is and so I think those are also not working properly. I feel like I must be doing something incorrectly. PLEASE HELP. Is the email address in the To field what will act as my key to pull in all the other relevant data? I'm not clear if I need to set up a lookup/key mechanism here since the trigger is a specific time and not meeting a condition. To get to the subset of companies I plan to add a condition.

I have an automation that reminds me to complete a task once every month, however, I realized what I actually need is a reminder specifically on the second Wednesday of every month. I’ve been having a lot of trouble figuring out an automation for this new reminder requirement and would love some assistance if anyone has any tips or advice.

When I first started working on this automation script, Airtable presented a list of records to choose as the input for running tests. That was all fine.Later on, I deleted that record, and now the script is failing because the record doesn’t exist. But I don’t see any UI for changing or selecting a new record to use for the test input.Is that not possible?  

Hi everyone 👋I’m importing data into Airtable, and one of the fields arrives as a JSON array that looks like this:[ { "key": "Label", "value": "Sample A" }, { "key": "Code", "value": "0716" }, { "key": "Category", "value": "Lotus" }]Instead of showing the raw JSON, I’d like the field to display something more readable, for example:Label: Sample ACode: 0716Category: LotusI tried changing the field type and using simple formulas, but it still shows the full JSON array.Has anyone done this before?Is there a formula, script, or automation that can parse this JSON?Any suggestions would be really helpful, thank you! 

I have two separate bases. When a form is submitted in base1, a record is created. When a specific record matches a condition, i want to use an automation to create a record in base2.Ive tried using the sync feature in the data layer, which appears to pull base2 data layer into base1 data layer but when i go to the automation, the table I want to create a new record in is there, but is greyed out and cant be selected. I went through permissions with someone from airtable, but we still can’t figure out what the issue is. This is from the automationIn the table field i can see the table i want to create a new record in, but it is not selectable. IN the data layer, it is listed as grid view  

Is it possible to change the sent from email, from the default of automations@airtableemail.com to something of our choice? Or by a per project basis?

I want to update a record when a field condition is met, and currently the “Update Record” automation only seems to use any value/change to the field. What I am trying to do when the “Status” field is updated, and ONLY when it’s Value is changed to “Used” do I want to execute the update. Right now when the value is changed from Used to Unused, it runs the automation. Any guide on what combination of actions I can use to do this?

Hi everyone —I’ve built an automation that:1️⃣ Triggers when a Project Overview record enters a view2️⃣ Creates a related record in Prelims Summary (Client Breakdown)3️⃣ Updates the original Project Overview record to link back to that new recordEverything works — the link is created — but in the run log, the Linked Prelims (NEW) field shows two entries: ["rechvSfKKM3dFqypl"] ✅ (green — works) "rechvSfKKM3dFqypl" ❌ (red — literal string) I’m currently setting the linked record field value in the Update Record step as: ["Airtable record ID"] (using the dynamic variable from the Create Record step with the “+” button).Is this expected, or should only the array appear?Could something in the input mapping or type conversion be causing the duplicate string entry?Any insight from others who’ve built dynamic link automations like

I’m importing some data into a new base and there’s a field that has update notes on different lines all formatted the same. I’d love to figure out an automation to add each line to a linked table as separate updates connected to the parent field. Okay, looking for brainstorms/solutions. I use Go High Level for almost all of my business management. The one area where I struggle mightily to rely on GHL is calendars. So, I'm implementing Airtable. All my events. All in one place. Folks can register for more than one at a time. GLORIOUS. Until I want to send confirmation emails & reminder emails/texts. I'm trying to decide whether it's easier to do that communication through Airtable and then send it over to GHL for record keeping, OR....whether to send registration info to GHL and then handle all confirmations/reminders from there. I need easy/medium difficulty (with Chat GPT assistance!) to create and reliable replication as we grow. Suggestions????
