Hi, I am using the Typeform integration and one question (single select) has 750 options. In Airtable: It is possible to massively add options to the single selection or multiple selection. Instead of paste it the 750 options one by one. thanks

The bases I create are labeled “External” (even after accepting my Organization's invite) and lack the same functionality as bases created by the Big Boss. Are there currently settings that ensure bases created by users within the organization are internal (and benefit from the functionality associated with our price plan)? Would changing my permissions level from “Creator” to “Owner” make a difference? I guess I’m confused that a user can belong to an organization, yet the bases they create do not. Put another way, in practice, every user other than the Big Boss is individually on the “free” plan and creates only stripped-down “External” bases. I'm told we're in the process of migrating from Teams to Business. Will that remedy this? It doesn't make sense to me that only one person has full functionality, regardless of number of use

Hello! I’m trying to make a templated onboarding document that we can easily update with information fed from Airtable. Here’s the direct use case (Integrations are generally off the table in a corporate security setting): Hire Roster (lives in Airtable, holds new hire data) Microsoft Word/GDoc/OneNote (whatever!) that is complete with specific fields waiting to be fed new hire data, will serve as new hires’ onboarding document. Is there a way to automate the process of filling out a document without manually doing it?

I have an excel file that we currently filter by 3 to 4 fields to come up with a price for an item for vehicles. We filter by Year, Make, Model, and then for certain products, we also end up filtering by other parametes, but I’ll use size as an example. I am trying to create a form where instead of having to exit and go to the excel sheet, a person could potentially do the following: Select year → this should provide the filter for the next question and only return Brands for those years When they select a make, it should filter the next question to only show models for the selected brand. When they select model, if there are 2 models, it should bring up the size field for the next question, if there is only one model, it should bring up the ID for that specific model in the next question. After it brings up the correct ID for that model, it should show the only price option for that ID. I know I can import an excel file,

Is there a way to customize airtable form based on the user. I have a dropdown box that is selected by the person, then it shows the applicable questions based on the drop down. Is there a way to autofill in the dropdown based on the user filling in the form.  I need to keep all of the questions in one form for convenience. What would be the best way of doing this.  The reason I need to do this is because each person is required to fill out a form each month, selecting a name then shows what forms a person has not completed yet. Thank you 

Is it possible to have 3 kinds of fields in gallery view on a shared link? To clarify I want - 1- The fields displayed on the card 2- The fields you can see when clicking on the card, that aren’t displayed in the card view. 3- Fields that can not be seen unless you are the owner (i.e. me) and logged in. I’m using Airtable for a coin collection and want to have a field for price paid, but I don’t want that to be public knowledge, yet I want to make my page publicly accessible for research purposes.

What happened to PageDesigner?!?!?! I have been using the same extension for three years to print a two-page per record document. The page is set to be the size equivalent of two, portrait 8.5x11 pages. All of a sudden, yesterday, I opened up the Extension that holds my document and the entire second page was missing. The fields were there, but the white background was missing. I reset the page size to accommodate the length of a two page document. All appeared to be well, but when I went to print it, it only prints the second page of one record in the view. Any insights would be greatly appreciated

Ideally what I’d like is for the “page designer” block to have the ability to share its output automatically with different recipients who don’t have Airtable accounts themselves. I have a large base that is used to process reports that come in from forms. Each record is an individual report, which I can build into printable pdf using the page designer. But the only way to share these is to download each individual pdf and then send it by email. I would like to be able to automate this process, i.e. once a report is complete, the document generated by the page designer is automatically shared with a given recipient. Is this possible through Zapier, or any other platform? I’ve looked at a few google sheets add ons but I’m not sure they’re what I’m after. I followed this tutorial video to the letter (https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013405168-Page-designer-app-overview) yet Page Designer won’t print/PDF multiple records on a page. My records are short — about one-eighth of a page per record — and I have 25 records. It’s ridiculous that my PDF is 25 pages. Can someone please help me stop the madness???

Hello I am building my invoice template in Page Designer. I was able to build my source table so I can see various tasks to bill to each client. My only isse is that table only show records that fit in the box and in 1 page. How do I format the table element so it show every records I want to show even if it takes multiple pages?

I have a question regarding the page designer extension. How to make the data fields automatically adapt to the amount of data to display and for the extension to create as many pages as necessary? I am setting up a contract. This contract contains a “travellers” paragraph. Under each traveler, page designer displays the information concerning him (package chosen, date of departure, date of return, details of flights, details of accommodation, etc.). The number of travelers naturally varies from one contract to another. There are contracts with 1 single traveler and others with 40 travellers. On page designer the reserved field does not adapt to the amount of data. In addition, we only have the right to 1 single page!! How to solve this problem? Thanks

I want to create forms to get reviews from some products I sell and for that I have created a Table which consists of the following fields:Product (linked to the corresponding "Product" record in the "Products" Table)Q1Q2...QnI want to be able to send form links with the "Product" field prefilled (using its RECORD_ID), so that the reviewer can easily know which product he/she is reviewing. However, I don't want the reviewer to able to change that value in the form and select by mistake any other "Product" record. How can disable the possibility of changing a prefilled value in a form?I have tried using the option "Limit record selection only in view" to another view, but it is not working.

It is possible to use a wireless barcode scanner attached to an iPad to enter data into an Airtable. I need to do an inventory of over 17,000 items and want to scan the barcode of each item into a table. It would be much faster if I could just scan the item - record is created - and it advances to create the next record. Much like you can do with a scanner an Excel. I know I could just use Excel and then import it into a table in my base but I was just curious. Using the camera to scan each barcode would not be and option due to time. Thanks Brian

Good DayI have generated a base and from that base a form. Once submitted the form automatically adds the information to the base. When the new record is generated in the base I want to send an email to the person submitting the form. There is a field in the form where the person adds there ID I used that field in the To part of the automation and I am getting an error.  The below is the layout of my  automation In the Body of the text is a member number that is automatically generated when the form is submitted.When Generating a Preview I get an Error Message 

Hello,I have a base and I want to create forms that allow some to suggest new entries into the base. Once the suggestion comes through I would approve it then merge it into the base. However I need to know who that person is and limit access to the form to okta users. Whats the best way to go about doing this?

Feeling a little stupid because I can’t figure out how to do this. It is a simple task on a spreadsheet, but I have failed in all my attempts to get it to work. I am managing a construction project and I have creating 2 tables, One for electrical costs and another for Sprinklers Cost. I then created a third table, which I call it Dashboard. The intention with that table is to show the sums of all costs from the other tables. For example, on the sprinklers table, I have a column (Quote) with all the costs I have incurred so far. I did the same thing on the Electrical table. On the Dashboard table I have created a record for Sprinklers and another for Electrical, and for each record I need to show the sum of the costs for the tables Electrical and Sprinklers As per the images attached, I want to be able to show the value of $14,300 (sum of all costs on the column “Quote” of the Electrical table) on the record of Electrical #200,

Hi Everyone, I’ve been searching the community pages and it seems that there is no way to create PDF’s automatically from templates created using Page designer, is that right? I’ve created the field type ‘Button’ to click which displays the document in the page designer app perfectly. But, I then have to manually save it as a PDF. What I’d like, is to be able to click the button and for that document to be automatically downloaded and saved as a PDF file. Surely this must be possible? It just seems crazy that the button can produce the document but can’t save the file. Am I missing something? What do people use the Page Designer app for if not to create documents which they then want to attach and send to their customers? Thanks, Rosa

Our finance department wants to start using Airtable to send out invoices to vendors. Is there a way to place a template invoice somewhere, and then have an automation modify the template pdf with chosen data from our vendors listings with their invoice? (i.e- from template to a customized pdf with their information, amount to pay etc).

I would like to generate a PDF out of a record (to easily visualize the data) and attach the record as an attachment. I would like to do this for all the records in my base. Any ideas on how to do this using either a script or Zapier/Integromat, possible using Formstack (does not have to use formstack though)? Would love any insight - I am capable of coding in JavaScript and can leverage that if necessary.

Hi AllI am new to Airtable…..I have set up a base with all my customer records and imported sales data to populate all my fields.Now that I have new sales data, I cannot import the data to over-write existing data. All I seem to do every which way I try is create duplicate account information with new sales figures.This is really frustrating. I have tried using data from excel, CSV file as well as Google Sheets with the same result.What am I doing wrong???? Any help will be appreciated.

When adding a sync table to our base, we have an option to either “delete the records” or “leave the records” in the destination table when the records are deleted from the source table. See screenshot below for a screenshot of this option. I find this Sync Setting problematic for 3 reasons: It’s not truly a “sync” if the records are mismatched between 2 tables. We have absolutely no way to distinguish (in our destination table) whether or not a record was deleted in the source table. Airtable gives us absolutely no way to tell if a record still exists, or if it’s just a “phantom ghost record” that once existed a long time ago. This is yet another security hole in Airtable. If I delete a record from a base, it’s probably because I don’t want anyone to see that record anymore. Yet anybody who has formerly setup a sync to my table can now see previously-deleted records. Is there a way to enable AI Assistant in a shared base view (from the shared link option)? I understand how to use AI Assistant currently as a user with access, but I share a raw database periodically with stakeholders without user access and it would be helpful if they could hit the database with their own queries.  

Hi!  I might just be silly, but is there not a way to copy and paste a status across several records in list view? In grid view it’s easy, just copy a cell and paste. Is there not an easy and quick way to do this in list view?
