I am trying to figure out an effective way to share a view with external collaborators. Companies like Smartsheets allow unlimited guest editors for no extra cost on their business plan, but it seems that with Airtable if I want to share my project plan with a customer just to mark tasks as complete we need to pay $10/mo/user for portals, or full price to get them into the company Airtable account. Are there any alternatives here? How have you guys accomplished this effectively?

My base has a people table and a calendar table. The primary field in the people table is name. In the calendar table, the people table is linked with a field called assignee. In the calendar table, the assignee field correctly displays the primary field name value in grid, calendar, kanban, timeline, gallery and list views, however in all ~100 gannt views my team has created the assignee field now incorrectly displays the airtable record ID of the linked record in the people table. This just began yesterday.  Why is this happening?Am I able to change something to correct this?

Hi all,We've been using a Page Designer invoice setup for a few years without issue, but we're now running into a problem where the Address field isn’t displaying properly.Originally, the Address was pulled in via a lookup field. The field shows the correct data in the row, but Page Designer is displaying a “0” instead of the address.As a troubleshooting step, I also tried using a plain long text field with the address manually entered—but in Page Designer, it just shows a blank square. It’s like the field isn’t registering at all.Is anyone else running into this? Or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve it?

I want to sync my Airtable View with Google Sheets. Is there any option without using third party tools? I tried automation but it is creating a new row even when the entry is updated instead of updating the entry in Google Sheets. I extensively use Airtable for my work but Airtable has limitations in data visualization. For data visualization, I also tried the data studio connector, but unfortunately it is failing frequently. Any related help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Is there a way to connect airtable to google sheets such that it syncs completely? So every time any change is made to my airtable the corresponding google sheets file will also be updated? Thanks, Chris

 Hi guys,Our company is looking to provide tools to our clients and own their data, so that we can analyse it and see what marketing outreach methods work in the market. We currently give our clients a gsheet to track their outreach data, such as sales calls booked, scripts, follow ups, niche.1 client = 1 gsheet with multiple tabs(every client has their private gsheet, but we store it on our gdrive. Now, I know that Airtable could be way more powerful, but wondering what could be the way to go about it? Would it even work? What other alternatives would there be for us?

I am looking to create a form that will collect referrals from teachers that will store all the referrals in one place for those responding to these referrals to be able to act on them and then have the outcomes of those actions be shared out automatically preferably via email but I would also like the referral data to be easily sortable into specific students as reports that can be printed and have the ability to attach other files to these referrals.  I would l also like to be able to analyze all of the data for trends and patterns as well as look at individual student data for trends and patterns.  I have no idea where to begin and if airtable can even do something like this.

Hello everyone, Here is a weird behavior I would like to understand…On one of my computer (and only one), when I validate text in a cell of my text column (when I press enter or change cell after writting something), Airtable sometimes modify some words of the content arbitrarily… Here is a true exemple “remportent” automatically transforms into “représentent” in the next sentence, which often change the meaning of the sentence (and being a journal it’s compromising). Exemple : Les Auvergnats remportent le match contre le LOU.Automatically becomes : Les Auvergnats représentent le match contre le LOU.  Here is my text field :  I tried the same sentence on another computer and the phenomenom doesn’t happen… It happens that I share my session and credentials with team members and that we use the interface with the same credential at the same time but this happen whether or not I’m alone on the session. Very weird. Hello,Quite simple question : today when you mention a user with “@person” in a comment or a note, he/she gets notified by email. Is there a way to route these notifications in Google Chat, Slack or MS Teams ? I’d like to avoid kludge solution like creating a Zap or Make that watches over the mailbox and transform an email received into a chat message, this should flow directly from airtable to one of those 3 solutions, like a setting in the user specific parameters. 

My team relies on image annotation quite a bit for providing feedback.  As of today, it seems like this isn’t working anymore?  

I have a publicly hosted logo with a URL that I’m adding to my automated email using <img src=” “>. When I generate a preview, it seems to be working correctly: However, once I actually send the email, the logo doesn't populate and just shows the image icon: Can someone help and tell me how to fix this?

hi dear folks, I’m wondering, if I build the Base according to a specific project, once this project has been completed, how could I archive it? For instance, if I start from a Base on “house hunting”, after serval months, when I found the house, literally I shall not use this base anymore, it is no longer make sense to keep it on the workspace as well, and what’s the solution for the archive it in the local disk? Or do I need to archive it? Thanks for any pieces of advice.

I'd like to have a changelog, ideally in Slack, that gets added to whenever a base, table, or field is created or deleted, and whenever a field name or type is changed. However, I couldn't find any functionality to allow this. Has anyone found a workaround for it? Thanks!

Hi,I'm approaching launch for my first Airtable application, a support/ERP/CRM system for my wife's business (two users currently planned). Is there an agreed upon best practise how to launch a production version but yet be able to continue developing the application?I have little real experience in application management, although I have managed some LAMP applications with SQL updates and diffing PHP. I thought I would keep the current base as PROD, make a back-up of it and assign that a DEV role and continue developing new stuff there. But how to migrate changes from DEV to PROD?Rgds,Björn

I’m currently a Pro user and I’m considering an upgrade to Enterprise. I’d like to know if the following workflow is possible with Enterprise. A billable collaborator creates a form for a Base in their Enterprise Workspace. The billable collaborator shares the form with a non-billable collaborator from their domain. The non-billable collaborator accesses the form, authenticating with SSO prior to seeing the actual form fields. The non-billable collaborator submits the filled form, and their user ID is passively submitted along with the other form values. (I suppose this ID would be the email address they used to authenticate with SSO.) A billable collaborator can see the new record (with the ID of the user who submitted it) in a grid view. Reasoning: I’d like many individuals from my organization to participate in data collection and entry but want to restrict administrative access to a small team.
