I created a “sandbox” base to develop this script to create a new hypertext field from a text field and a URL field: When I got it working in the test base, I copied the code into my live base. The field names were different there, so I edited the script accordingly. I ran it and it worked. This script doesn’t run automatically, so after I entered new records, I ran it again to populate the empty hypertext field in the new records. Now the script doesn’t work properly. It calls the text and the URL into the destination field, but it doesn’t format them as hypertext. Here’s the result: I checked that the destination field was long text with rich formatting enabled. The code still works in the sandbox base, so I tried copying it back into the live base (and changed the field names again in the script). Will not work, even if I create a brand new destination field for the hypertext. What could be wrong in my live base that’s keeping the URL from embedding when I’m using the same code

Hi people, Dose anyone know how to make the correct date (I need year/mm/dd and time) in my table when my form get submitted? I tried the formula DATETIME_FORMAT(NOW(),'YYYY-MM-DD') also I tried CREATED_TIME() but the date and time shows up incorrect.

Hi all! I’m working on a script that grabs two fields from a table as query parameters in a API GET request, gets the resulting JSON data, and updates the records in the same table for those corresponding queries. I have my for loop running fine when I limit it to 50 records (notice the IF statement) and aware of the 50 record limitation by Airtable. How do I go about refining my script so that it grabs the remaining records? I’ve been banging my head against a wall on how to do this since Friday. I have two records that I am trying to combine into one record. Each record is uniquely linked to a number of other records. What I’d like to do is copy the data from one record and paste it into the other record, without replacing what’s already in the second record.

Hello, I have already asked a similar question with no success. I will try to explain a bit better what I am trying to achieve here. I am building a website where users can send offers/bids for items on Webflow. I connected Zapier and Airtable to achieve this flow. Everything is ok, the only problem is if someone sends a bid that is lower than the highest bid it will show as the highest. I managed to see the record I want to be synced to Webflow on my airtable if I multi filter by “bid” (highest first) and “date” (latest first). The problem is that when I run Zapier, it will transfer all the data from airtable and not only the top one. Hi all - We’re wanting to setup a new Button field in our Base that when clicked, takes the user to a Shared Airtable View URL that is pre-filtered for the row of data that was selected when our button was clicked. For example, in Table 1, we have a list of Projects. In Table 2, we have tasks or deliverables, linked to each project. We’d like a button in the Projects Table (table 1) to take the user to the Tasks Table (table 2) when clicked, and pre-filter the Tasks Table by the Project ID where the button was clicked. I was playing with a mixture of existing support articles from Airtable on buttons and shared URL filters but wasn’t having any success. Hello community, I’m trying to average geographic coordinates. First I split the coordinate into lat & lon fields, for example: 41.3310413 and 19.7828039 In Google Sheets I’m using average() with correct result In Airtable the rollup with average() fails with NaN Does anyone know another way of averaging coordinates? PS: Also tried to remove the dot with SUBSTITUTE(Lat,".","",1) but am getting an error.

I’m trying to create an automatization that runs a script to copy a field (formula that puts year and month together like this 2021-12) to a liked to field whenever a record is created ou updated. Hello, I have a table where every record has a time field. I would like to check a checkbox when the time is today at the specified time. Using automations I managed to check the box when the date is today but the time is not considered. Is it possible to check the box at the exact time? For example, I have a record that says 12/11/2021 1:00pm. The checkbox should be checked only after 1pm and not at any time of the day. Thanks

And if {Registration date} is blank, I want the value of the formula to be blank as well (to avoid #ERROR). However, the returned value is not recognized as a date and is displayed as follows 2021-12-17t00:00:0.000z If I remove the IF statement at the beginning, it is recognized as a date format. Is there any way to resolve this?

Hi Currently, I have 3-columns Due date (date field) Overdue (formula) IF(IS_BEFORE({Due Date},TODAY()),“ :rotating_light: OVERDUE :rotating_light: ”,"") Due Now (formula) IF(IS_SAME({Due Date},TODAY()),“ :gift: NOW :gift: ”,"") I would love to see both results/formulas in the OVERDUE column. Then it is not necessary for both columns. That said, I am not finding the right way of merging these two formulas in one field/column. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

Hello! I’m trying to find a way to link 1 table to multiple rows in another table within the same base. For example – The first table in the base lists all of our customers (one per row). Another table in the base includes all of the action items that should be done for each customer (they are all the same). Is there a way to link the action items table to each customer, and further, allow for items to be checked off as they are done for each individual customer, without impacting those of another customer? Hi all, I have a table where I want to have a “Cleared?” formula box that looks up if the current record also exists in a view, “Outstanding items” In plain language, if an employee in “Pre-service” view also exists in the “Outstanding Items” view, place an :x: . Otherwise, if they don’t exist in the Outstanding Items view, place a :white_check_mark: I am thinking the RECORD_ID() formula might work (catching an exception) but I can’t quite wrap my head around how to use it with a specific view.

Hello! I have two tables: “Projects” and “Tasks”. I’m wanting to create an automation to do the following: Trigger: When a record is created in “Projects” table Action: Create value {Record Name} in X field in “Tasks” table Basically, the name of the record in the project table should update a field in the Tasks table. I would like the automation to create a new field value within a dropdown field and the value name should be taken from the trigger record name (i.e. the project name). From what I could see, the only way to achieve this is to have the action be to update a field within an existing record, so I created a dummy record. This is what I’ve created: When I run the test, it shows the field in the dummy record is updated with the project name as expected. But when I go and create a new project record, the automation shows as running successfully, but the field in the dummy record is empty. Am I overcomplicating this/approaching this wrong? Appreciate any help!

Hi All, Relatively new to airtable but learning fast. I have a map app that shows my different types of accounts color coded by type. What i was hoping to do is code a button for each record to go to that specific location on the map app, rather than having to manually search the entire map (US only). is this possible? I’d assume so via possibly scripting or a custom app, but i dont have a lot of experience in this. Any suggestions or even alternative ideas welcome! Thanks!

I am pretty new to airtable scripting and I hit a roadblock in one of my codes. I need to iterate and create multiple linked records into a table, but my code is throwing me the following error “j: Can’t create records: invalid cell value for field ‘Property’. Cell value has invalid format: .0.0 must be an object. Linked records field value must be an array of objects with property ‘id’ corresponding to linked record id.” I assume this is because I have to put some sort of id in the createRecordAsync function, but I am not sure how the syntax for that should be. For example, say I have a directory with all the employees an multiple levels of managers. Employees report to a first level manager. A first-level manager reports to a second-level manager, who reports to a director. I create a column for who each person reports to as a “parent” column. I want to create a column to shows all the people that report to a person that is linked to the original parent relationship. Is that possible? The purpose I have is different that my example but the concept is the same. Would appreciate the help! -Liz

Hi, Our team has a base with records that include a status field. We have a form for people outside our team to submit job requests. Is there a way to filter a view that only shows records submitted through the form? I was thinking perhaps assign the status “Under Review” by default when the form is submitted and then filter on that, but assigning defaults doesn’t seem to be an option. My goal is to have a DOB field concatenate with a name and calculated age field. Currently the concatenate works fine with CONCATENATE(Child_First,", “,Gender,”, ",Age) = Rohnan, Boy, 10M When I add DOB field I get Rohnan, Boy, 10M, 2020-12-15T00:00:00.000Z How do I get rid of the T00:00:00.000Z at the end? When I use the Date_time format I get gibberish. I changed a field view from a normal input cell to a formula cell and all of the data was erased. I need to know how to go back and just undo that change as I worked for several hours on other tasks and I don’t want to undo all of that work just to get that data back. How can I do this please?
