How do I change the #ERROR to null? How do I change the #ERROR and NaN to null?

Hi could anyone help me with the script to automatically populate a rich formatted long text field with checkboxes any time a new record is created? Haven’t been able to find anything else in the community Thanks!

I am embedding a view on my website - one of the fields is a button with a script that adds a record in another table to log the button press timing and some metadata. However, as soon as I embed the table/view, the button field seems to be disabled on the embedded website, and can’t be clicked (screencap below) :thinking: Any ideas/advice on this would be greatly appreciated :pray:

I thought for sure I saw Airtable just added the new feature that we could finally link between bases - but now I can’t find it anywhere. Here’s my specific query: I have lots of film and TV projects in development set up in their own individual bases (so I can share project-specific info ONLY with the partners on each project) BUT the lay of the land research as to who the players are is “universal” - and constantly changing! Hi Guys, Having trouble finding out how to write a formula to check if one field contains another field’s data. The specific use case is data being pulled from an ecommerce site. Each order comes from a page dedicated to a suburb/postcode. Each order populates a record with this suburb/postcode in one field as well as the delivery address in another field. I am trying to create a formula that will check if the delivery address contains the same postcode in the other field (and if so label it “true”). Any help would be much appreciated! First - I am pretty new to writing formulas. I know enough to get myself into trouble. :slightly_smiling_face: Here’s my problem … I have a table which is a listing of tasks that are assigned and have associated dated. The fields in this table includes: Date field that includes the time field (Start Time) I created an automation that would send an email when a particular person is added to a record (assigned a task). This email includes in the body of the email, the name of the task and the date and time that this task is scheduled to begin by inserting data from the Start Time field. The resulting email looked ok except that the data from the Start Time field was ugly (for lack of a proper technical term). Hi there, I’m attempting to integrate my airtable database api into a React project. I installed airtable using ‘npm install airtable’. I also followed all the directions on airtable.com/api to configure my api/base and create a function to list the records. However, when my app attempts to run that function, I get the error “Failed to execute ‘fetch’ on ‘Window’: Illegal invocation.” When I click on the error in dev tools, its source appears to be in the airtable base file–which I don’t have access to as it’s part of the npm package. I did see this topic mentioned in another post, and tried what was recommended there, however, it did not solve my issue. Has anyone else run into this issue and found a work around?

Yes I’m new. I have created a base with a table of all sales transactions, one item per line. So for example, an order with 4 different items would have 4 records, each with SKU, quantity, price paid, order date, etc. In the grid view, I’ve got a filter set up to specify an order date range, and I created a group by SKU so that we can see the total sales for each item. I want employees to be able to view the file, set a date range, and print it if necessary. However the filter is not available in the view share, and all roads seem to lead to being at least a full base collaborator to be able to set the date range. That’s too much, um, power. Am I missing something about sharing, or is there a better way to specify the date range?

Creating a table that will be split into different views for different online marketplaces, as they each require different fields. The Status field at Abebooks corresponds to the Update Delete field at Amazon, though, so I’m making the Update Delete a formula field that converts the language like this: ‘’'SWITCH( {STATUS}, “For Sale”, " ", “On Hold”, “Delete”, “Sold”, “Delete” ) My question is how can I add a statement that will look at the last modified time field I’ve named Updated and return the value “Update” only if that Updated field has today’s date? So that I can get only the updated today records into their own view to be downloaded as a CSV files I can use for the online marketplaces? I feel like this is a thorny one, but this community has surprised me on multiple occasions so maybe I’m just too much of a newb to recognize real Airtable thorniness.

Hi Airtable Friend, I inherited my dad’s small bookselling business (26,000 books) and have been organizing his records into an Airtable base. Jumping ahead, I started googling how to embed a table view of this base onto a website and I can’t find anything that explains how to make this embed searchable and filterable. Potential customers aren’t going to want to scroll through 26,000 book records to find books they want. Any guidance and/or resources would be much appreciated because, without this, I’m afraid all the time I’ve already spent on this Airtable base has been wasted. I do have the paid version, in case that opens up more relevant possibilities. Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

Hi, I’m looking to build a tasks manager base. We publish book and there are about a 100 tasks to do between 4 different employees to get to the final product. I use Asana, but we want to put everything in AirTable, which is great. I like the Project Tracker in the First Base section, but I am looking for something more tasks oriented if you have any design ideas to share with me. Thank you

Hello Airtable fans, I use Airtable to manage a very large collection of recipes. There are often times that I would like to duplicate large numbers of these recipes so that I may change them slightly. It’s become very time consuming for me to duplicate each recipe one by one and assign a new ID to them. As a work around, I create a CSV with the original recipe info, change the ID and then re-upload to create new records. Is there some other way to do this? Has Airtable ever considered a batch duplication feature? Thanks! Leslie

Hi All, I’d like to create a unique number for a record based on the year and week. So for example, I have a date field which I use as YEAR(Date)&" - "&WEEKNUM(Date). So if the date was today this would give me an output of 2020 - 43. Now, I want to add a counting number for each record with a date in that week in order of when the record was created. So the first record created with a date in that week would be “2020 - 43 - 1” and the second record created would be “2020 - 43 - 2” and so on and so forth. But when the week changes to the next week I want the counting number to start again, so it would then go “2020 - 44 - 1”, “2020 - 44 - 2” and so on. I just don’t know how to do this and would appreciate any help thanks.

Hi, I need some help, I am counting the total hours worked of my employees, But I need a formula that won’t count the lunch time or that some how if table (lunch in) or (lunch out) is empty it won’t say NaN. some people take lunches, some don’t this is what I have it like this. I’m writing a small package for the julia programming language intended to wrap the airtable REST API to make it a bit easier to access within scripts. Julia has a pretty strong culture of including automated testing of packages, and I was wondering if there’s a sort of dummy table with an open api key that could be used for this purpose. Howdy, So I have a table of devices called “Devices Log” and I let people check them out to do testing with them. ‘Devices Log’ has a field called “Owner” which is a link to a directory of testers who can check out and own devices. The check out functionality is to submit a form on a different table called “Device Checkout Log” which includes linking the device being checked out, and the owner checking it out. Now on the record for each device is a linked history of who checked out a device and when, which is useful for when digging into ownership is necessary. But I want to have a sperate field listing the current owner only. Is there a way to make an automation so that when a new record is submitted, the ownership of a device is automatically updated to reflect the new checkout?

Hi all I need some help with formatting a nested IF statement as I can’t understand why it’s not working. Here’s the background: I have a {Start Date} field and an {End Date} field - both are formatted as “Date fields”. I want to check the current day - TODAY() against these dates and print out an emoticon depending on the result. I can get this single IF statement to work: (If the END DATE is AFTER today, then print “ :horse_racing: ” (running!), if not, then print “ :heavy_check_mark: ” (completed!) IF(IS_AFTER({End Date}, TODAY())=1,“ :horse_racing: ”, “ :heavy_check_mark: ”) However I want to add a third condition for the future: (If the END DATE is AFTER today, then print “ :horse_racing: ” (running!), If the START DATE is AFTER today, then print “ :crystal_ball: ” (future!), if not, then print “ :heavy_check_mark: ” (completed!) Our team has created an automation meant to update records in a table called UNIFIED WORKSPACE DATA when a record is updated in a different table called WORKSPACE PRODUCT DATA. The automation watches a field called “stripe_customer_id” (type: single line text) in table WORKSPACE PRODUCT DATA – when this field is updated for any given record in the table (this is the trigger), the automation then updates a field in the UNIFIED WORKSPACE DATA table called “CUSTOMER ID” (type: Link to another field) with the “stripe_customer_id” that was updated in the WORKSPACE PRODUCT DATA table (this is the action).
