I am trying to use an IF statement and I can’t get it to work either with an AND or an OR formula (or both)… Essentially I have a calculated price for my products and I want to create a formula field for a selection of the products IF ‘Sub-Category = X OR Y’ then take ‘Calculated Price +0.1’ to add 10p to the calculated price. I have tried this which returns a result for all products and not just those where the Sub-Category is “Coffee Retail Beans” or “Coffee Retail Ground”. IF(OR({Sub-Category}=“Coffee Retail Beans”, “Coffee Retail Ground”), {Calc Price}+0.1) Any other combos I try using AND statements where I have followed other similar examples on different threads, but they always come back with a formula error. I’m currently wondering if there is a way to extract a section of text from a URL. http://...Drink%2FSeafood%20%2D%20shutterstock_524277715%2Ejpg&...Images%2FFood%20%26%20Drink I want to Airtable to automate searching the link for “shutterstock_” and then display the following characters up to “%2E” The link will always have a different amount of characters before “shutterstock_” and after “%2E” and may contain a different length of characters between the two. Is there a formula for something like this?

I need Airtable to send me an email if the record was last updated 3 days ago and the status is high. Can I create this automation ?

So I was recommended airtable to manage my office staff task. So seems promising. I get the demo, got busy and never used it. Today i jump to pro all because i can color code things and mostly will be used for simple task management and minor project collaboration. So i delete the workspace that was originally their and create and label new ones that now say free. So now I am assuming you pay by workspace and not to just use the program. So the one i deleted is the pro on and is now gone. Airtable has no phone support and i am assuming they rely on their community of paying users to provide their support. How do I get my money back, remove my credit card info and delete my account?

Currently I can only synch one table into the output table. How can i make it work for multiple data tables into one table ? hi everyone, is there a formula that can compare 2 dates (a due date and the completion date of a project) and fill in if it was finished on time, early or late?

When inserting an image to attachment field, is there a way to link a url reference? I am creating a base that features mythological creatures. One field has images. I need to be able to credit an artist or website for the images used. I considered adding a record to the table, but many of the attachment fields will have more than 1 image. Creating 3 or 4 fields to add a reference to each of the images in the record seems daunting. I had poor luck searching for this answer as the word “reference” in my meaning (to credit the original location item was found) is different then the common airtable usages. I hope I used correct terminology with records/fields ect. I’m not confident in speaking this subject.

Hello I’m new to AT, so I’m just feeling my way. I have a base recording bookings we get from schools who want to visit us. I send a school who wants to come to us a link to a booking form view that they fill in themselves to create a new booking record initially. Once they have done that we add bits and pieces of data behind the scenes. One of the things we need to do is book staff against the school booking, but that is something someone else takes care of. Previously I would have manually completed a form in Word and mailed it to my colleague as a prompt to book staff, but I am hoping Airtable can make this process unnecessary. I would like to be able to have myself and my colleague automatically emailed when we get a new booking added by a school via the form, to prompt her to look at the staffing requirements. She is the owner of the workspace the base is in, but can I add her as a collaborator to every record in this base automatically and have AT ping us both an email to say ‘a

Hello everyone, I would like to have a formula column in a table where I have a code name as the first column today. This formula should check the code and give me a determinated result. Today my codes are SFPAPXXXXRI004, or SFPAPXXXXBA005. I would like a column that says “Ring” if there is an “RI” on the code or “Bracelet” when there is a “BA” and so on. Is this possible. Hi all, I’ve been using Airtable as an employee for the last few months but only recently have started building some tables on my own, and I’m running into a hurdle that I think either has an incredibly simple answer or just requires a different approach. After going through forums for hours, I figured posting might be the quickest way to find a solution. This will be a musician related database, and I have two tables - ‘Owners/Writers’ to keep records of artists: And ‘Songs’ to house the information for each song they might be a part of: As you can see, each song may have multiple writers. I want to create a column in the ‘Owners/Writers’ table that shows every song that each writer may be a part of; for instance, Ben Allen is a writer on both of the example songs, Song 1 and Song 2, and I’d like those records to be displayed in the ‘Owners/Writers’ table. Hello everybody! Sorry if the question is too basic, I’m new to airtable… I’m trying to keep the wine inventory of my restaurant in airtable, and use a shared grid view to show the wine menu. During Covid situation we cannot use paper menus and we have a QR code so client use its own phone to read it. I have all items sorted by wine type using groups, then price… it works great. The question is: can I add the group name in top of the item list? The list is quite long and non-expert clients will get lost (they are using a smartphone to read). It would be great to have something like: White wines: xxxx xxxx xxxx Red wines: xxx xxx “White wines” and “Red wines” are coming from a single select field which I use to group them. We have a field called Products which is a link to our “Product” table We have a field called Cost which is a lookup field. (looks up the cost from the Product table) In our “ORDER” table, we have a field called Total Cost In that Total Cost field we would like to multiply the Cost by the Qty (quantity) but if there is a value in the Misc Cost field then we would like to multiply that field by the Qty to calculate the Total Cost Here’s the kicker… Basically, we want to use the Misc Cost to override the Cost x Qty total, if there if something is entered in that field. Usually a product is full price for us. Sometimes we get a massive discount on a certain quantity or we get some of a product for free. I still want to link to the existing product from our database, but I want to have this Override field and have my “Total Cost” field use the Misc Cost field, if it’s exists. Sorry if I didn’t explain this very well. Any help here would be great!! :pray:

Hello! From the documentation for the Airtable API, it clearly indicates that there is a rate limit of 5 transactions per second. With the current implementation of our updateRecordAsync for Airtable, we are seeing no (noticible) rate limits. Are Custom Apps not currently subjected to such limits? If not, will it be? Thanks! Hello guys, I have an Airtable managing my bills in multiple currencies. I’ve been trying to customize the [Airtable Currency Converter] (Airtable Scripting) to convert each record with the conversation rate of its date. Hello- I have a formula field that multiples values from two other rows. It functions properly when multiplying values without decimal points, e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. But fails to account for values with decimal points, e.g., 1.5, 2.5, 3.5. The odd thing is that for those values (the ones with decimal points), it actually accounts for the numeric portion of the values without the decimal value. Specifically, for 1.5 or 2.5, it will multiply based on 1 or 2, respectively. It ignores that there is a .5 tacked on as well… Here is the formula: IF({Mins}=15,".5",IF({Mins}=30,“1”,IF({Mins}=45,“1.5”,IF({Mins}=60,“2”,IF({Mins}=75,“2.5”,IF({Mins}=90,“3”,IF({Mins}=105,“3.5”,IF({Mins}=120,“4”," ")))))))) Not sure if this is helpful, but when I click on the “formatting” tab within the field, here is the response: “Your result type is not a number or a date. I have a base in Airtable already set up that has several tables. One of the tables is my “Contacts” table. I have some additional contacts in some other places and I wanted to import them into this ‘Contacts’ table. So I imported a spreadsheet from a CSV file. The problem is that when I imported the spreadsheet it showed up in my base as ANOTHER table called ‘Imported Table’. Now, I can’t figure out how to add the contacts from my ‘Imported Table’ table into my contacts table. What I am missing here?? #AirtableLoser

Hey, I’m trying to add an attachment to my action email in response to a trigger. The attachment is PDF or PNG and is in an Attachment field. But every time I run a test, it gives me test error: Step failed. Failed to construct the value for “Attachments”. How do I get it to read the value? Your help is appreciated.

I’ve created a scenario in Integromat that watches for files to be added to a specific folder. The idea is that when a file is added, it will trigger the scenario which will add the file to a Table in airtable. Dropbox recognizes the file, it then downloads the file from dropbox. But when it goes to create the record in airtable, it comes back with an error. Here are some screenshots of the progression: This shows that data is coming through the dropbox scenario. However, this is what it looks like when I try to configure the airtable operation to add the file as an attachment. This shows that when the scenario is run, the dropbox listener and the dropbox file download work. But there’s an error with the URL.

I was trying to create a view that would show “My Tasks” on a “Tasks” table. For this to work for any collaborator, I would need to be able to set a filter for tasks where the “Assignee” is “Me” and not my explicit name. Since I could not find anything about this, I assume there is a workaround for this. I would love to know.

I have a view where the primary field is an autonumber generator. About 12 hours ago my code below would have output the list of the IDs of all of the records in a view: let Table = base.getTable(TABLE_NAME); let view = Table.getView(VIEW_NAME) let query = await view.selectRecordsAsync(); for (let record of query.records) { output.text(record.name) } However, it is now saying that each of these records is unnamed. Oddly, the description of the “name” property says that it should be the string of the “Primary Cell Value”. Double clicking the autonumber field shows “This is the table’s primary field”. Can someone clarify my misunderstanding?

Why would one of my tables not have the ability to move/reorder records? There are no drag handles on the left side of the records.

I have records that are automatically created in my base. Some of them end in the phrase “(X of Y)” to indicate they are one of many. Others do not have this tag at all. I need help creating a formula that removes all instances of this parenthetical count. This would give me ability to group all records with identical names: Kelly’s Record (1 of 2) Kelly’s Recors (2 of 2) ----> all turn in to “Kelly’s Record” However, I need the formula to leave unique records unaffected: Kelly’s New Record —> Kelly’s New Record
