hi, i’m currenly trying to use integromat to copy data from one base to another. but when there’s a linked column. it copies its record id instead of its field value. i tried turning on smart link, but it still copies record id instead of its value. any help please?

I created a view and shared it; however, when they attempt to click on what I know to be a linked table, they are unable to do so. For instance, they can see the contact person’s name but can’t click on it to reveal the details it contains from the Contact table. What are my options to allowing this person read-only access to this main table while also being able to click on any linked tables?

I was wondering if it is possible that if a collaborator filters a list, then the rest of the collaborators do not get their lists filtered when they access the base. Would getting a paid version solve this problem?

Hi. Noob alert! This is my first attempt at formulas of this nature. I am trying to concate an address (Street 1, Street 2, City, State, Postcode, Country), separated by a comma and space (", "). However, most addresses I enter do not fill the ‘Street 2’ cell, which results in an additional ", " in the formula outcome. I have spent hours trying to correct this and cannot figure it out. I would be grateful for any assistance! Thank you. I got a bunch of values fro each collaborator in my base which I need to summarise pr month. Down the ‘Y-Axis’ I got my collaborators. My problem is I can’t get the ‘X-Axis’ - the month name to sort properly (see below). Ideally I just want the month name showing, but it seems I can only sort those in alphabetical order. Then I tried to add the month number to the month name in the hope it’ll sort on the month number, but as you can see December for some reason comes between July and September. Is there no way that I can just sort the month names from Jan → Dec?

Hi there! I’m an Airtable noob, but a spreadsheet lover. I’m trying to create a formula (Switch looked like the best), that will create custom dates based on the “Task Name.” It involves date math based on “Original Publish Date” field which is a date. Here is a rough example of what I’m trying: SWITCH( {Task Name}, “Create Illustration”, DATEADD({Original Publish Date},-14,‘days’), “Generate blog post and schedule post”, DATEADD({Original Publish Date},-13,‘days’), “Create snippets for social media”, DATEADD({Original Publish Date},-12,‘days’), ) I’ve tried paranthesis around dateadd and end before the comma. That didn’t work either. Is this possible? I see other formulas that seem to work.

I’m not sure why this one isn’t working, because I’ve tried copying and pasting from another base where this formula DOES work. I’m trying to write an IF statement for the Gift ID. If “Donor Account” is not blank, GIFT ID should pull Donor Account after the date. If it IS blank, it should pull Company. This is my starting point, but it’s telling me it’s not a real formula. I am creating a catalog of sheet music for some musical groups I play in. It has a main table with all the usual information to be expected (title, composer, arranger, etc.) plus some additional info, such as alias names and associated works or titles. All the information is either directly stored in the table, or is in a linked table (composers and arrangers, for example). The alias and associated works are useful. Some examples of these associations are: The title, “It’s the Hard Knock Life”, also has an entry in the associated works field indicating that it is associated with “Annie”. The title “Ukrainian Bell Carol” has an alias entry as “Carol of the Bells”. The “Hallelujah Chorus” has an associated entry indicating it is part of the oratorio “Messiah”. The point of all that is to indicate how useful this information could be in searching. Hello, I have started using Airtable recently and I find it quite useful. I am trying to create a structure as below: Company [All the companies that I worked/work with] ==> Project [All the projects that I have worked/working] ====> Tasks [All the tasks for different projects] To achieve the relation, I have used ‘Link to another record’ field type. I am able to relate Company table with Project, Project table with Tasks. On the Tasks table I am able to see the Project they are associated with, but on the Tasks table, I am not able to display the Company associated with the project for which the tasks are. Can you please guide me how I can establish this structure?

Is it possible to present the number formatted by grouping the thousand, like “100,000”. It just displays “100000”. Excel gives an option: “Use 1000 Separator (,)” This is found in cell format, under # format.

Someone else on the team created a Dashboard using the Maps blocks. I am a Creator in the AirTable and anytime I go in, I do not get a map or settings. The Owner sees the Settings and map just fine. Any ideas as to what the issue is? Here is what they see: Here is what I see:

I’ve switched around the order of a few columns in grid view but this isn’t reflecting on Kanban. I would have expected the order of questions/columns to sync up no matter what view I’m in but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Help?

Hi all, I’ve been struggling with the SET_TIMEZONE feature for about 20 minutes now and frankly I’m over it, so I’m coming to you all. I’m trying to display the times that some orders were made in the local time zone of the person that made the order. I have three columns: Time Zone (which is the local time zone of the buyer), Order Time & Date (CET) (which is my time zone. all time stamps arrive in CET), and Order Date & Time (Local) (which is the field I am trying to calculate). This is probably so easy, but I just can’t get it to work. I hav 13 columns that are using a formula to extrapolate a comma separated list from a single column. That works great. I am then trying to use a new formula field to look across all 13 and put the result of the last column that is not blank. (i.e. if column 1 has text then check column 2. If column 2 is blank then column 1 in field if column 2 has text then check column 3 and if 3 is blank them column 2 and so on. the columns are called item1, item2, item3 and so on. I have a simple date in my table and I simply want to have the name of the weekday displayed (e.g. in another column). Does this work with a formula?

Not sure how to describe this one… I have a primary field in one tab of Publications. Each publication has a Pub Date column. In another tab, I have Last Name as a primary field (of authors) and want to create a column that tells me the most recent publication they were attached to. If I use Roll-Up with max value, I can get the pub date itself (1/12/20) to appear rather than the name of the most recent publication the author is attached to. So I think I need a formula that would produce, instead, the most recent Publication the author is attached to. Any thoughts?

Hi, I work for a charity that distributes surplus food to members of the local community for a small weekly fee. I use Airtable to keep track of, among other things, how much each person pays each week, versus how much they should’ve paid. I use two linked tables to track this - one on which I record each individual transaction, and another that uses rollup fields to add each member’s transactions together so I can see each member’s history at a glance. I’ve set it up so that the Rollup table shows me how much (if anything) a member owes us in total, but the actual maths for that is done in the Transactions table. At the moment, one food delivery costs £3, but we’re about to increase that to £4. My trouble is with how to get Airtable to reflect this change. If I just change the formula for the amount owed from {Packages delivered}*3 to {Packages delivered}*4 then it’ll re-calculate every member’s payment history and tell me that everyone is £1 per week in debt, so I’m hoping there’s an

Hello! I’m new to Airtable but not databases overall so I have a little bit of knowledge in how to write a formula. I can’t seem to work through this one though. I have the need to be able to recall certain clients for scheduled services. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to write this formula. I need the formula to calculate off the “Scheduled Date” forward 275 days but only when the “status” is not marked as “complete”. I have no earthly idea how to make this work. I want to access a airtable table through my app i’m making. I have the community airtable API installed into my project, but setting up the thing is a whole new task. I’m trying to add a new item to the table through the app currently. I don’t think the code is incorrect because I used it off the documentation of airtable visual studio api. Here In all the examples of how to use it, there are these two lines that are needed. readonly string baseId = YOUR_BASE_ID; readonly string appKey = YOUR_APP_KEY; I think i’m putting in the wrong numbers somehow. So I put my api key for my account in the second line and the base id for the specific sheet in the baseId line. I’m looking for help writing a formula to show what pay a staff member has earned based on a variable. I have hours worked (at 30 per hour for one role, and 25 for a different role), and trainings complete at 50 per session.
