Hello, I have started using Airtable recently and I find it quite useful. I am trying to create a structure as below: Company [All the companies that I worked/work with] ==> Project [All the projects that I have worked/working] ====> Tasks [All the tasks for different projects] To achieve the relation, I have used ‘Link to another record’ field type. I am able to relate Company table with Project, Project table with Tasks. On the Tasks table I am able to see the Project they are associated with, but on the Tasks table, I am not able to display the Company associated with the project for which the tasks are. Can you please guide me how I can establish this structure?

Is it possible to present the number formatted by grouping the thousand, like “100,000”. It just displays “100000”. Excel gives an option: “Use 1000 Separator (,)” This is found in cell format, under # format.

Someone else on the team created a Dashboard using the Maps blocks. I am a Creator in the AirTable and anytime I go in, I do not get a map or settings. The Owner sees the Settings and map just fine. Any ideas as to what the issue is? Here is what they see: Here is what I see:

I’ve switched around the order of a few columns in grid view but this isn’t reflecting on Kanban. I would have expected the order of questions/columns to sync up no matter what view I’m in but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Help?

Hi Folks, I need help writing a formula that returns only data for this week related to a release date I know this formula works IF(WEEKNUM({Release Date})=WEEKNUM(TODAY()),“this week”,“NOT”) However, it still shows me content released for the next year same as this week. Hi all, I’ve been struggling with the SET_TIMEZONE feature for about 20 minutes now and frankly I’m over it, so I’m coming to you all. I’m trying to display the times that some orders were made in the local time zone of the person that made the order. I have three columns: Time Zone (which is the local time zone of the buyer), Order Time & Date (CET) (which is my time zone. all time stamps arrive in CET), and Order Date & Time (Local) (which is the field I am trying to calculate). Hi, for my academic research database I’m trying to write a formula that will automatically extract a four-digit number from a cell (i.e. extracting year from a citekey). This is probably so easy, but I just can’t get it to work. I hav 13 columns that are using a formula to extrapolate a comma separated list from a single column. That works great. I am then trying to use a new formula field to look across all 13 and put the result of the last column that is not blank. (i.e. if column 1 has text then check column 2. If column 2 is blank then column 1 in field if column 2 has text then check column 3 and if 3 is blank them column 2 and so on. the columns are called item1, item2, item3 and so on. I have a simple date in my table and I simply want to have the name of the weekday displayed (e.g. in another column). Does this work with a formula?

Not sure how to describe this one… I have a primary field in one tab of Publications. Each publication has a Pub Date column. In another tab, I have Last Name as a primary field (of authors) and want to create a column that tells me the most recent publication they were attached to. If I use Roll-Up with max value, I can get the pub date itself (1/12/20) to appear rather than the name of the most recent publication the author is attached to. So I think I need a formula that would produce, instead, the most recent Publication the author is attached to. Any thoughts?

Hi, I work for a charity that distributes surplus food to members of the local community for a small weekly fee. I use Airtable to keep track of, among other things, how much each person pays each week, versus how much they should’ve paid. I use two linked tables to track this - one on which I record each individual transaction, and another that uses rollup fields to add each member’s transactions together so I can see each member’s history at a glance. I’ve set it up so that the Rollup table shows me how much (if anything) a member owes us in total, but the actual maths for that is done in the Transactions table. At the moment, one food delivery costs £3, but we’re about to increase that to £4. My trouble is with how to get Airtable to reflect this change. If I just change the formula for the amount owed from {Packages delivered}*3 to {Packages delivered}*4 then it’ll re-calculate every member’s payment history and tell me that everyone is £1 per week in debt, so I’m hoping there’s an

Hello! I’m new to Airtable but not databases overall so I have a little bit of knowledge in how to write a formula. I can’t seem to work through this one though. I have the need to be able to recall certain clients for scheduled services. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to write this formula. I need the formula to calculate off the “Scheduled Date” forward 275 days but only when the “status” is not marked as “complete”. I have no earthly idea how to make this work. I want to access a airtable table through my app i’m making. I have the community airtable API installed into my project, but setting up the thing is a whole new task. I’m trying to add a new item to the table through the app currently. I don’t think the code is incorrect because I used it off the documentation of airtable visual studio api. Here In all the examples of how to use it, there are these two lines that are needed. readonly string baseId = YOUR_BASE_ID; readonly string appKey = YOUR_APP_KEY; I think i’m putting in the wrong numbers somehow. So I put my api key for my account in the second line and the base id for the specific sheet in the baseId line. Dear Community, I am new to Airtable. I am making my first block. I have a table with multiple fields. I want to make a Pie Chart with just two of the fields. I’m looking for help writing a formula to show what pay a staff member has earned based on a variable. I have hours worked (at 30 per hour for one role, and 25 for a different role), and trainings complete at 50 per session. How do I write a formula that looks at the “role assigned select field” and calculates based on the correct rate of pay? Thanks,

Having trouble with an IF formula. IF({Job Size}<=10,DATEADD{Order Start Date,7,‘days’},DATEADD{Order Start Date,14’days’}) I’m trying to generate a date based on our ‘Order Start Date’, where if the integer entered in the ‘Job Size’ field is less than, or equal to, ‘10’, it will add 7 days to the ‘Order Start Date’, and if not (specifically a larger number), it will add ‘14’ to the ‘Order Start Date’. I’m not seeing what I’m doing wrong :woman_facepalming:

HI all, I’m hoping for a little direction here. I have managed to write a script to retrieve a single record from Base B based on a Date/Time field in Base A. My problem is that I can’t figure out how to then extract a value from that response. The response looks like this (I have REMOVED record Specifics). I am trying to extract ‘Height’ 3.49 in this case, which is a number in Base B. I then plan to update the initial record in Base A using that figure (I think I can do that bit once I can get the number out of the response). Hello, Long story short: How to automaticaly copy/paste a text from a cell to another where it will apear as an editable text as well? I’m developing a CRM. I Use a first table “PRODUCTS” as a product list. A second one “OFFERS” as an offers editing list. and a third one “PRODUCTS LINE” to edit products lines in each offers (quantities, discounts, comments etc) On my “Product line” sheet, I would like when I call a product from the “product” sheet, that its standard descrition (a text, in the product sheet) appears as a text as well im my “product line” sheet where I’ll be able to edit it for this offer only. thanks in advance

We have a weird way of keeping track how many interviews our interviewers have done. I would like to know how to count the number of times “1” comes up in each cell across all columns from Jan 2020 - August 2020. So in my simple way of formulating it would be something that translates the following (number of times “1” comes up in Jan2020) + (number of times “1” comes up in Feb2020) + (number of times “1” comes up in March2020) + (…etc etc). I am running a membership organization, we have “Member Since” that is a year, e.g 2014, 2018, etc. I want to calculate on a column to the right, how many years they have been member. Something in simple words like =TODAYS YEAR - “Member Since” (in the picture it is “PGM Since”) So that this adapts to every year. Otherwise I can just keep it to =2020-“Member Since” Anybody can help with that? How to get automatic todays year into a formula

In summary I have: 1 Table 1 Grid View with all the data 1 Grid View with the trigger for zapier (Last Modified Time is Today) What zapier does is when I get a new record on the “Trigger” view it sends an email to all salespeople. My “problem” is, I updated a record on the Grid View with all the data and the Last Modified Time is Today but it didn’t send the email as it usually does. Is it because it isn’t actually a new record, and just an update? Is that why it didn’t work for that specific result?

Hey there. I’m trying to create a field that populates the fiscal year that a project is published in, as it’s different from the actual year. So if the date of the project is between December 1, 2003 and November 30, 2004, it’s FY04. And so on for the following years ad infinitum. Any help would be appreciated; I’m having trouble with date formulas and I trawled through posts but couldn’t find a solution that worked for me. Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to use a formula field to calculate a date for benefits eligibility like health insurance. For example, if an employee starts on August 6th, 2020 we require them to wait until the first of the month following their first 90 days of employment until they are eligible. With the DATEADD formula, I can add 90 days, but I’m not sure how to take the result from 90 days to the first of the following month. With the example above the result I’m looking for would be December 1st, 2020.

It can be one using Coupler.io or some paid Airtable addon but I am looking for ways to do that with Integromat (free version). (Zapier doesn’t offer free multi-levels, so Integromat is the only option in town offering for free multilevel flow albeit with limited number of runs). Airtable stores images (and attachments) in one field together separated by commas. I can instruct Integromat to only retrieve the URL’s but they are all in the same cell in Google Sheets. (So ULR1,URL2,URL3…URLx all together). I wish the integration included instructions how to deal with that to separate. I’m trying to play with text various tools in Integromat but I don’t know how to make it work because Integromat instructions lack examples of scenarios and results and there is no guidance how to create flows (compared to Zapier). I want URL1 be in separate column, URL2 in separate column, etc… As I said works fine with Coupler addon but I am trying to do with Intromat. If I can get under 3 credits per succ
