Hello, I’m trying to have a couple of “children” tables (restaurant, hotel, coffee shops) with the same colone format (name, adresse, contact info) all gathered in one “mother” table. The idea would be that when we add or modify a reccord in the “children” table, it adds or modify the same reccord in the “mother” table automaticaly. Its like my “mother” table is a mirror of my “children” tables. If anyone knows if its possible I would love to have a tips because i haven’t cracked it.

I would like to create a workaround for the issue that Linked Records are not available in Automations. I am collecting lots of URL inputs from colleagues via the web clipper. For a number of reasons I want to link the records to another table automatically, using a script. The idea would be to trigger the script using an Automation. In short: I want the title of the Calculated site to be copied into the linked record field Sites I feel like this should be fairly simple but I’m not able to dig into JS :confused:

I have a table which includes a list of equipment, and then I have another table that contains dates of bookings (a booking is per day), location of booking and other fields. I would like to be able to see on the first table the last location of a booking and it’s date. Is that possible to do?

Hello, I am working on various automations for my use case, but don’t have previous experience with json or the airtable api. I’ve created a multi-step automation that relies on a couple of scripts to link fields in various tables. I am sure there is a cleaner way to do it, but overall it works when individual records are created. However, I have realized that when I batch upload a group of new records (as will be a likely use case moving forward) I run into a script error stating that the query for selectrecords has exceeded the max of 30. I would love some help figuring out how to modify the following script. I have two tables: Contacts; Companies When a new record is found in Contacts, it is supposed to search Companies and then create a link automatically if a matching record is found. I modified a script I found elsewhere in the community. As you can expect, I am using a function field to manipulate a time field; two issues appeared gmt zone went crazy inside the new form field language for dates now are shown in english. Two solutions came to rescue: For issue # 1 I can use: DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE({date field}, 'America/Bogota'), 'dddd, MMM D, YYYY h:mm a') for issue #2 I can use: DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_LOCALE({date field}, 'es'), 'dddd, MMM D, YYYY h:mm a') They both work perfectly INDIVIDUALLY, How can I combine these 2 formats inside one single formula.

I’m looking for a formula that can help me add the numbers 1-6 to records, looping. So: Row 1 - 1 Row 2 - 2 Row 3 - 3 Row 4 - 4 Row 5 - 5 Row 6 - 6 Row 7 - 1 Row 8 - 2 I’ve thought about using the autonumber field and then trying to extract the number 1-6 from that, but I’m genuinely at a loss.

Hello all, I am new to airtable but I feel like it has a lot of potential in order to manage my employees. What I want to achieve is fairly simple: I want a list of all my employees (easy to do) I want a list of all my worksites (easy to do) a) I want to assign my employees to certain worksites and then be able to see on a calendar which employees is available for an upcoming project. b) I want to be able to filter that calendar by employee and / or by worksites For example, Daniel is working on project 1 in September and December Roger is working on project 1 only in September but on project 2 in November and December I have an upcoming project in November and want to see which employees are free in October What would be the best way to go about successfully implementing step 3 in airtable? I found a couple of templates but they seem to be too complex for what I’m trying to accomplish. Kevin

I have a weird issue I’m not sure how to solve. I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. I have a base with three separate tabs. The first tab is for all project information, the second tab is for “due diligence” tasks, and the third tab is for billing. I’m using Zapier and linked fields to try to do the following: When a new project is created, I want to trigger the creation of a list of tasks in the due diligence tab, and then a list of billing breakdowns in the billing tab. The list of tasks and billing breakdowns is the same for each project. I’ve set it up in Zapier and I’m running into a problem. I’ve tried it two different ways. When the new record is created, I update the record so the linked field in the project tab is populated with all of the tasks. When I do this for more than one record though, it doesn’t create new records on the linked task, but instead keeps the same records, just linked to more than one project. However it seems if you change the table name you are searching on as long as it is a valid table name it still returns the record even if it sits in a different table. Now whilst this is a functionality we are looking for i.e. a search on all tables in a base. This doesn’t feel like this should be working. i.e. if the table name doesn’t contain the recordId then it should fail but it still returns the record regardless of the table you are searching? I’m trying to use the --remote feature of the CLI to install my Custom Block into another base, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’m not sure if I’m doing something incorrectly. I went through the process of “Install a block”, “Build a custom block”, and saved the appID/blkID, leaving an empty and uninitialized block Then I ran the CLI commands, with apparently successful results: But my block remains uninitialized. I’ve tried refreshing multiple times, and I’ve tried running the CLI commands again, and it doesn’t look like it’s done anything. I tried running just $ block release as well (not specifying a --remote), and my default installation of the block was updated (tooltip indicates “last updated” with today’s date). So it appears it is only the remote option that is not working as I expected. @Kasra @Michelle_Valentine

hi, i’m currenly trying to use integromat to copy data from one base to another. but when there’s a linked column. it copies its record id instead of its field value. i tried turning on smart link, but it still copies record id instead of its value. any help please?

I created a view and shared it; however, when they attempt to click on what I know to be a linked table, they are unable to do so. For instance, they can see the contact person’s name but can’t click on it to reveal the details it contains from the Contact table. What are my options to allowing this person read-only access to this main table while also being able to click on any linked tables?

I was wondering if it is possible that if a collaborator filters a list, then the rest of the collaborators do not get their lists filtered when they access the base. Would getting a paid version solve this problem?

Hi. Noob alert! This is my first attempt at formulas of this nature. I am trying to concate an address (Street 1, Street 2, City, State, Postcode, Country), separated by a comma and space (", "). However, most addresses I enter do not fill the ‘Street 2’ cell, which results in an additional ", " in the formula outcome. I have spent hours trying to correct this and cannot figure it out. I would be grateful for any assistance! Thank you. I got a bunch of values fro each collaborator in my base which I need to summarise pr month. Down the ‘Y-Axis’ I got my collaborators. My problem is I can’t get the ‘X-Axis’ - the month name to sort properly (see below). Ideally I just want the month name showing, but it seems I can only sort those in alphabetical order. Then I tried to add the month number to the month name in the hope it’ll sort on the month number, but as you can see December for some reason comes between July and September. Is there no way that I can just sort the month names from Jan → Dec?

Hi there! I’m an Airtable noob, but a spreadsheet lover. I’m trying to create a formula (Switch looked like the best), that will create custom dates based on the “Task Name.” It involves date math based on “Original Publish Date” field which is a date. Here is a rough example of what I’m trying: SWITCH( {Task Name}, “Create Illustration”, DATEADD({Original Publish Date},-14,‘days’), “Generate blog post and schedule post”, DATEADD({Original Publish Date},-13,‘days’), “Create snippets for social media”, DATEADD({Original Publish Date},-12,‘days’), ) I’ve tried paranthesis around dateadd and end before the comma. That didn’t work either. Is this possible? I see other formulas that seem to work.

I’m not sure why this one isn’t working, because I’ve tried copying and pasting from another base where this formula DOES work. I’m trying to write an IF statement for the Gift ID. If “Donor Account” is not blank, GIFT ID should pull Donor Account after the date. If it IS blank, it should pull Company. This is my starting point, but it’s telling me it’s not a real formula. I am creating a catalog of sheet music for some musical groups I play in. It has a main table with all the usual information to be expected (title, composer, arranger, etc.) plus some additional info, such as alias names and associated works or titles. All the information is either directly stored in the table, or is in a linked table (composers and arrangers, for example). The alias and associated works are useful. Some examples of these associations are: The title, “It’s the Hard Knock Life”, also has an entry in the associated works field indicating that it is associated with “Annie”. The title “Ukrainian Bell Carol” has an alias entry as “Carol of the Bells”. The “Hallelujah Chorus” has an associated entry indicating it is part of the oratorio “Messiah”. The point of all that is to indicate how useful this information could be in searching. Hello, I have started using Airtable recently and I find it quite useful. I am trying to create a structure as below: Company [All the companies that I worked/work with] ==> Project [All the projects that I have worked/working] ====> Tasks [All the tasks for different projects] To achieve the relation, I have used ‘Link to another record’ field type. I am able to relate Company table with Project, Project table with Tasks. On the Tasks table I am able to see the Project they are associated with, but on the Tasks table, I am not able to display the Company associated with the project for which the tasks are. Can you please guide me how I can establish this structure?

Is it possible to present the number formatted by grouping the thousand, like “100,000”. It just displays “100000”. Excel gives an option: “Use 1000 Separator (,)” This is found in cell format, under # format.

Someone else on the team created a Dashboard using the Maps blocks. I am a Creator in the AirTable and anytime I go in, I do not get a map or settings. The Owner sees the Settings and map just fine. Any ideas as to what the issue is? Here is what they see: Here is what I see:

I’ve switched around the order of a few columns in grid view but this isn’t reflecting on Kanban. I would have expected the order of questions/columns to sync up no matter what view I’m in but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Help?
