Hello,I'm using the Map & Data Validator extensions, which allow me to view and validate my fields respectively. I'm also developing an interface so that I can share the application without users having to use the database directly, and so that I don't have to show all the records.My first question is: Is it possible to include the map extension display in my interface? If so, how? I've seen on other forums that this wasn't possible, but perhaps a feature for this has now been added?My second question is about the Data Validator extension, which only validates data when it's added from the record creator form available from the extension window. Is it possible, for example, to validate data entered from forms in my interface?

Hi,I have a table of tasks.I have a table of action items.In the third table, we have various information items (records).Several tasks can be assigned to an information item.Tasks can have multiple action items.Each action item has a single Owner.I want to show only the current action items related to an information item record.Please recommend the best practice for implementing it.

I have some equipment inspection checklists that I am trying to move from paper to Airtable, and I was wondering if there was a way that I could convert it into a fillable PDF and put it in an Airtable form. The employees fill out these checklists when they’re at worksites, and the office is out of their way, so the forms don’t get dropped off as soon as we’d like. What I am hoping to do is have the employees fill out the PDF in the form, then have the PDF saved to the base as an attachment so that we get the forms as soon as they’re finished, and it’s easier for everyone at the worksites. I already tried converting the checklists to Airtable forms, but there are just too many checkboxes that would each need their own field, and it would just end up being too inconvenient to fill out and sort through. I also tried using the attachment field in a form, but this would require the PDF to be filled out in a different app (or scanned), then saved, and then submitted through the form, which

I have master blocks of code in my code table.in another table - main table -I wish to get data from a field in the code table by specifying it’s rec ID. I will then combine this code with other data from the main table. I can do this with a linked table but it requires that the user must remember to select a record every time a new record is added in the main table and since there is no default for linked record, I cannot find a way of using linked records.i was hoping to create a formula that did this get(field.codeTable(recID))I could put the actual field data from the record in code table directly into a formula but then every time my code is updated rather than update the code table code I have to remember to do this elsewhere.any help much appreciated, perhaps a script?

Hello,I am building a project management tool and want to send daily messages to the users on late tasks, upcoming etc...to do so, I have created my automation as follow: The idea is to run automation everyday, look for all users from a table 'participants', and for each one of them search for late tasks assigned to them. Generate an email and send it to each recipient. (I don't want to generate 1 email per late task.... too many messages)This works great as is, except that if there is nothing late in the queue for a user, he will still get an email with an empty table...anybody has a solution to add a condition on this automation?thanks!

I have a table of worklist items that are assigned to users. I want to create an automation that once triggered will execute the "find records" and would go through the distinct list of users that have open tasks.  Open tasks I can do with a filter, but how do I work it out such that if Joe has 3 tasks, the action only executes once for Joe?I tried the group but it didn't seem to do the trick (unless I'm doing it incorrectly). I could just do it all in a script, but I'd rather use the no-code tools to drive the automation. Thanks.

Hi! So, I tried an automation to send an email to some designated people from a list on Table 2 when a record enters a view on Table 1. The users are coming from a linked record from T1 to T2, but when I configured the automation, the system apparently didn't read the emails are emails so, so it failed to send anything. Am I missing something on how to do it?  Background: All of the users are Airtable users but they don't have access to the email accounts linked to those emails.

I have a simple linked table. There is a table of CASES with a bunch of fields and then another table called CASE ACTIVITY which has scheduled activities for each CASE, so the tables are linked by CASEID which is the primary field on CASES.That all works fine. And I started with a formula field that simply said "MIN({Date (from Case Activity)})" but it returns a value of zero.Ultimately it would also need to not pick dates that have already passed.Any ideas?

Hi guys. I have a workspace through which we manage our business, an academy. I have just two users, one for the owners and creators, and another for the teachers. Our problem is that we need the teachers to access to some bases and some interfaces of the main data base, but no to all the administration and managers info, and till now i havent found a way to restrain the access just to the bases and interfaces that they need. Is there anyway to manage the permissions or block access through passwords???? Thanks a lot for your time. 

I would like to be able to select data from a list of choices on softr. However, by linking the dropdown option to a linked data column on airtable, the data of another user also appears and I would like to avoid it. So I tried to use dynamic filters, but it does not work.  AS 

Hello folks!Total newb here!I have a base with 2 tables. Table 1 is orders that are placed by customers. Table 2 is a list of those products with a corresponding URL to the image.I'm trying to have the Cover Art field in Table 1 populate with the corresponding date from Cover Art URL in Table 2; based on the Product field in Table1 when the customer places the order.Basically when a customer places an order, I want the Cover Art field in Table 1 to pull the appropriate URL from Table 2, based on the Product field in Table 1.  Does that sound utterly confusing?I've attached some screenshots in case it's helpful.I've been spinning around online trying to figure out how to accomplish something I believe is actually simple.With grace,JQ

I have been reading for hours through the help forum and documentation, but ARRAYSLICE doesn't want to work for me.I want to achieve the following: Show me the first value of an array. My formula is: ARRAYSLICE(verticals_from_contact, 1, 1) but it doesn't show me the first value of the array. Instead, the field shows me the whole array. If I change it to: ARRAYSLICE(verticals_from_contact, 2, 2) nothing is shown anymore.  I tried the formula on lookup fields, linked records, and multi-select fields, and nothing worked (see image). Does anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Hello.Very new to Airtable. I am a designer working with a marketer for an events org. We are using Aritable to manage all our projects. I need a unique number for all the projects and am wondering if it's possible to auto number across multiple tables in a base, as that is how she is going to organize (tab for brochures, tab for print ads, etc.)I also would like an alpha prefix because we will have another base for another events org that we work on simultaneously.Ideally, I would like to have all projects in both bases just be auto assigned a unique number, but I don't know if that is possible either.Thanks for any help!

Hello,I would like to create an automation where I enter the working hours of the respective month and employee from "Table A" into the column of the respective month and employee in "Table B". (January, February, ...) the whole thing should be done once a month.

I have a form where every month the team leader enters the hours of the employees as follows: Employee 1: "35 hours"Employee 2: “48 hours”. up to 15 employees per team leader. Table A shows me all the hours entered by each employee in each month. All employees are listed in “Table B”. In this table I would like to add up all the hours worked so far. how do I get this done. Employee A can be listed under "Employee 1" in month 1 and under "Employee 4" in month 2. Theoretically, every employee could be entered in the 1st - 15th position. So I would have to add up all the hours of each employee, regardless of whether, for example: the employee is under “Miztarbeiter 1” or “Employee 12” and so on. you would have to tie the hours to the names or something.

I working on a formula that will provide me with 4 different outcomes depending on a products Variance from our target cost of product/FOB. Any products that have a variance less than -5% need to output "Red -5% or More Variance", products with a variance between -1% and -4.99% need to output "Orange -1% to -4.99% Variance", products with a variance greater than -0.99% need to output "Green - Meeting or Exceeding Target", and any products that have an empty value need to return an empty value. I have figured out how to return most of these responses, but I'm hung up on how to return the empty value. How to group rows by date so that groups are formed by day, without taking into account time. To get a group of October 4 with 2 rows and October 5 with 2 rows. I understand that the question is in the time display, but if you make a separate column with the formula DATETIME_FORMAT({Posting Time}, 'DD MM YY') and then group by it, then the program takes the date for text and sorts without taking into account the month, only by day.

Is it possible to delay an action from happening? I really like Slack notifications for new records, but I’d like the action to wait say, 1 minute after the record is created so that I can finish adding all of the fields. Is that possible?

I've searched on the community for solutions to combining one field that contains a date and another field with a duration to create a datetime field, but haven't come across any solutions to solve it. I'm using the DATEADD() formula but Airtable is not returning a correct results. What am I missing?

In the Change Request form I've created, users can enter information about a change request -- item, change type, notes, screenshots, etc -- and then they can use a multiple select dropdown to choose up to four Regions where the changes should apply.I'm using a Repeating group to cycle through the Regions input to create a separate record for each Region. 4 Regions chosen, 4 rows, 3 Regions chosen, 3 rows, etc. Beautiful! The trouble is, it also creates a single row with ALL 4 or ALL 3 regions etc on it. How do I stop that?

I need my company logo to appear in every record in a table so that I can have it appear on the sales brochure I create in extensions (unless someone can explain how to do this using the static element there but I can't find a way to attach it there).Is there a way (possibly an automation?) to have that field auto-fill with the attachment whenever a new record is created? Thank you

Hi there!  Sorry - this is probably simple - but I'm having trouble finding a simple solution for the sample issue below (pretend scenario for ease of explaining):I own a fruit store, and I sell individual fruits & bundles of fruits:Table 1: Multiple records of Fruits (apple, orange, banana, watermelon, cantaloupe)Table 2: Multiple records that are Bundles of Fruits (Red Bundle contains apple & watermelon, Melon bundle contains watermelon & cantaloupe) where I have the Bundles linked to the Individual Fruits recordsTable 3: I would like to create a third table that would be my Total Inventory - so each record in this third table is the individual Fruits as well as the Bundles.  I would like to have this third table autopopulated, so I don't have to remember to manually update the Total Inventory table every time I add in a new individual fruit or bundle.Is this possible?  And the reason I want this in the first place is that I would like to create a separate

I have an automation that runs a script to trigger a webhook in Power Automate.  This correctly pushes the Expiring URL to Flow.My next step however doesn't work. PA seems to want a filename in the path URL. Airtable doesn't generate the URL like that.Is there a way to reformat the expiring URL to have a ".jpg" at the end? 

I've used this very helpful page to be able to export my tables out of air table and into Power Query, and from there into Excel: Sending Airtable Data to Microsoft Power BI & Power Query | Airtable SupportHowever, I'm having an issue that some seemingly random columns aren't being picked up by PowerQuery. I've done this with 5 tables, some have worked perfectly, some haven't. The columns that are missing are different types, sometimes check boxes, sometimes free text fields. I can't work out what the pattern might be, and therefore how I might fix it.I'm hoping someone might have come across the same issue in the past, and know exactly what I'm talking about and how to fix it.
