Hi there, we’re new to Airtable and i have just helped one of our departments setup a workspace which is using a form to capture information via a shareable link. My question is around security, is there any sort of captcha so the form isn’t flooded with bots? Also, i don’t see where i can set an expiry to the form (say for a week or month), is that an option? Thank you

I am trying to set up an email automation that sends an email the next day at 9am after a status change. I have created a formula field: IF(  {Status Changed},  SET_TIMEZONE(    DATEADD(      DATETIME_PARSE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Status Changed}, 'YYYY-MM-DD') & "T09:00:00"),      1,      'days'    ),    'Europe/London'  ))The automation is triggered using a status condition and when the formula field is ‘today’. and This creates the correct time and date in the formula field, but it is not triggering the automation.  

Hello folks!Noob here. Thank you all in advance for any and all advice. I’ve AI to build the tool so far. Think I’ve made some mistakes.Bit of background information. So I’ve been employed by a business to consult on a new food menu, cost recipes and implement a standard recipe book. They use airtable in their other venues for some things like inventory management but not kitchen operations. They’ve asked that I try build a tool for the kitchen that can then be shared across the group.Being new, I only got so far and I’m feeling a bit lost and confused about layout, how some things drag information from where and why some things are where they are. The AI tool has got me so far and it’s been good. But to fine dial this tool for their specific needs I am seeking help!How much are consultations? Does anyone do this for free/cheap to build their portfolio? I’m limited in what I can offer as the budget is well blown out on the venue already due to the build.

I am looking to set up an automation based on when my date and time field are NOW Does not look like the automations date filter allows for NOW or takes formula code on it so how could I use a calculation field to look for any date that is now then tick a box or mark another field as True so that I can then base my automation filter off a column marked True? Not sure of the code that when time is NOW mark this fields as True etc…? Tried this but now working IF({Due Back Time Reminder} = NOW(), “True”, “False”)

Hi chat, My coworkers are running into issues with the filters for their interface. They are finding that they're interface filters are resetting frequently throughout the day. Filtering is critical for our workflow and often when they're viewing their pages, it will remove their last filter. Has anyone experienced anything similar?Specific issues:Filters clear without user action. In other cases, filters revert to an old or unexpected state. For example: Our team commonly filters on the Assignee field. Most of the day, users apply Assignee = Themselves (10+ times per day). Occasionally, they apply Assignee = A Coworker (1–2 times per day). However, the Interface will often revert to the less frequently used filter (Assignee = Coworker) as the default, even when that filter has not been recently applied.What's been confirmed/tested:The issue affects multiple users across the same Interf

Hey everyoneThere use to be a feature for Groups in forms that seems to be missing now for new fields.When creating a form, you can create a group and add fields to that group.When you selected the Group, there was a permissions option for that Group where you can choose the fields to be editable or view-only.It appears that option is no longer available.This was incredibly useful for me. I was able to prefill fields in that group and it would prevent the end user from removing my prefilled option. This was really great when I didn't want to expose information in those fields to end user. I could prefill it and they could not edit it. But it was at least displayed there for them so they know what they were filling things out for. If this feature is gone, is there another way to prevent end users from changing prefilled fields in formsTIA!

Hi everyone,I’ve set up an automation in Airtable that is supposed to trigger once a day at a fixed time. The automation is configured to send an email via Gmail.Here’s the setup: Trigger: At a scheduled time Interval: Every 1 day Time: 1:30 PM (local timezone +07) Start date: Jan 9, 2025 (Screenshot 1 shows the trigger configuration).The problem:Instead of firing once, the automation is running three times: Once at the correct scheduled time (1:30 PM) Once again almost immediately after (same minute) And another run about 2 hours earlier than schedule

I am a big Airtable fan, I am very careful, but every now and then I create empty records by clicking on sections, etc. Now, I always figure it out and clean up but can only notice beginners do that almost systematically. I am sure certain there are UI enhancements the Airtable team could implement to make people aware they are actually adding entries in a table.

Hi there,  I’ve created a pie chart in my dashboard interface, and I selected a field to group records by (Gross Margin %). It seems to work well, but it sometimes displays multiples of the same value as separate slices (see multiple 14% and 40% in the legend below). Is this a bug, or am I missing something in the chart setup? I’m really confused why the same value wouldn’t group together automatically.  This is what my setup looks like: If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears! Thanks so much :)

I am trying to create a call log for our company, but the issue is that I want to figure out how to display multiple back and forth or escalations relating to one call case without adding many rows. I think this could be done with linked records. but here is the schema: Last Name First Name ID Date Type Relation Reason Description Phone Email Link to Assigned Staff / Assigned Team for follow-up. Status (for follow-up) with Resolved or Escalated. I want to demonstrate if it is Escalated that it would move to another person, and allow them to do the next level of response. Or to have multiple entries documenting communication attempts at various levels before Resolved Does that make sense? Feels like I need a sophisticated Junction Table

Hi AirTable Community, I have a commercial dry cleaning and laundry business. I’m trying to create an Airtable app that will let my clients share an itemised list of the garments they’re sending me for cleaning each day. I’d like to create an interface with a form at the top, that lets the client enter each item for cleaning with relevant detail, then a table directly below which lists each item, so they can see a summary of the data they’re inputting in real time. I’m confident about designing each element, but can’t figure out if/how I can put them on the same interface. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks! 

When in data view I click a button that opens a URL, each time a new tab opens. To avoid that, I tried the trick of pressing the ⌥ button while clicking the button, but this time a .TXT file gets downloaded onto my computer on the clicking of the button.This is quite annoying, especially when you have to perform a button clicking multiple times. Do you have any solutions in store to circumvent this?I would appreciate your help on this.PS: I saw that this topic had already been covered in previous threads. But I thought that Airtable might have fixed this since the last time it was brought up.

I need to generate an image link that ends in .jpg or .png for the purpose of registering the product to GS1 (to assign a barcode). Is there a way to change the URL of my product image in Airtable so that it ends in .jpg? 

I need external parties to update existing records. I have successfully created a second base that serves as the receiver of the updated fields. I accomplished that by creating a form in the second base and using the URL from the form to create a formula field in the first base that will pass a record identifier to the second base. The URL works well and the record identifier from the first base shows up in the new record (RequestID) in the second base to match the record being updated from the first base. My problem seems to be with the automation. I am using when the form, from the second base, is submitted to trigger the automation. I then added update record to the automation. Based on a video covering the topic by Julian Post, I list the second table called New Update as the Table in the configuration. I list RequestID from the second table as the Record ID. Good day.I have a base that receives forms.  The form is a default for ALL events, and each event, via a formula, creates an unique form link that hides the event’s ID so that when someone submits a form, that ID is autofilled, and thus populated to the proper event.Now here’s the thing, I have another base where I have dropdown selections, but again this is tied differently, as the first one is tied to an unique even, so that won’t work. The dropdown selection allows us to see only those that meet certain criteria, however, in this case, for the event, it would be different for each event, maximum users if set, are met, then it would no longer show US their names.At least that’s the thought.So I was thinking in the attendees table, where the form is linked to, I could have a view that first is sorted by date created.  Then, there are lookup fields from the table with the event info(linked to the attendee table), of count of attendees, and

Hello all,I'm encountering an automation issue that I thought adding a delay action would resolve—allowing sufficient time for all record data to populate before triggering the email. The setup: Our work order base captures information and automatically emails the assigned technician. While most fields transfer correctly, two field agent fields consistently fail to appear: "Job Name" and "Scope of Work." The first field: The second field: The workflow is: The PM manually enters the Scope of Work, which then populates both the Job Name and Job Summary fields. These should all be included in the technician's email.
