Hello - I'm developing a deal tracking system to help my team win more business and report quicker to management. One management requirement is to show trends over time on the size of the deal pipeline.I can easily create a report or dashboard to show current statistics but management want to see how these statistics have changed over time. To do this I've created a new table in my Base for "Daily Stats" and I want to run a daily automation to calculate a snapshot of statistcs from my "Deals" table. Each statistic will have it's own field in the Daily Stats table with each record being the date/time of the automation. The type of stats I want to calculate are:- Total number of deals in the table- Number of open deals (filter out those with won and lost closed status')- Value of all open deals  (each deal has a potential value, again need to be filtered)- Average cost of open deals (have a field already for costs)I can't figure a way to do this using formula/lookup/rollup fields wh

So I found no way to get the total record count when I am in Gallery view. I would especially like to get the count once I have applied any filter.In the "Full View" the status bar at the bottom does show total count. It also updates when a filter is applied. I would want a similar way to get the count but in Gallery view. The Full view have an additional nice way to get count when Grouping is applied. But in the Gallery view we can't even apply any grouping.Any solution welcome, even if it needs Scripting.

I'm puzzled by an error I am coming up against ... We pay our service providers' invoices (received by Monday) ten working days later (so, typically two weeks later). Using this formula, I get the result I want for a date of Monday 20/2/2023 being Monday 6/3/2023:  WORKDAY({Send your invoice by}, 10, '01-01-2023, 02-01-2023, 07-04-2023, 10-04-2023, 01-05-2023, 08-05-2023')  When I add the next public holiday date into the formula, I get an ERROR: WORKDAY({Send your invoice by}, 10, '01-01-2023, 02-01-2023, 07-04-2023, 10-04-2023, 01-05-2023, 08-05-2023, 29-05-2023')​ I don't understand why adding that date breaks the formula, can anyone advise please?

In jira we have an Acceptance Criteria field with LOTS of text and we sync this to airtable because airtable offers more fields necessary for the work we do.I want to be able to create a formula that finds and returns the free form text after a specific string of text in the long text field.For example from the long text example further below I want the formula to SEARCH the {Acceptance Criteria} field for  “Creative_Type: " and return the text after it (maybe use “RIGHT”?) but before a hard return and the result in this case would be SIG I’ve created rules where the options are a static list (for example “Email Type: “can only have a certain selection so my formulas account for that but when the text is free from I just want that field to populate with the free form text that shows after “Creative_Type: “  I assume it would have to be a RIGHT and calculating the length or isolating anything after the "Creative_Type: and before the hard return or do i have to create a combo f

I'm trying to configure a bar chart in interface designer to show the count of each choice from a multiple choice field.For example, if the choices are: dog, cat, birdAnd I have respondents that selected:respondent 1: catrespondent 2: cat, birdrespondent 3: dog, cat, bird I'd expect to see a bar chart that has values :Dog1Cat3Bird2Instead, Airtable's barchart interface counts these responses as:cat1cat, bird1dog, cat, bird1 Is this a limitation of the interface feature, or is there a way to display the count of each choice in a multiple choice field?

Hi there,I wonder whether the questions asked in a form have to be the column titles of the resulting data table? Many of the form questions are very long and tedious, and I would like the column names of the output table to be much simpler and easier to digest.Thanks!

HelloI've been working on a script all day in the Script Extension thing, and it's been working fine until just now when I went through to comment out my console logs I was debugging with to tidy up the code. I went to run the script one last time and now all I get is the "An error has occurred" popup telling me to refresh the page (which doesn't help).Any ideas what causes this or how to fix it? Really need to have this working! 

Hello there,I have a base where we are taking job hours and rolling up all the hours into monthly payroll. I attached screenshots of the sample base.Basically, I am trying to create an animation where if {Payroll Link} is empty, then copy and paste  {Payroll Link Calculation} into the linked field. If that record doesn't already exist in the Payroll table already, then create a new record, and just like before, update the {Payroll Link} link with {Payroll Link Calculation}.I've tried multiple versions of this automation and keep getting stuck. Please let me know if I need to provide more information on the base's structure. Thank you in advance for any help!

Hello,We are trying to create a base that allows us to track our workers' capacities (we called them Dimensions: skills, tools, languages, seniority level...), manage project requests and show matching workers for each request. For that, we have created a table for each dimension we want to track in workers (one table for skills, another for tools, another for languages, another for seniority level, etc.).Then, we have a table for workers, where we add every worker and select their dimensions in fields linked to the previous tables. Some dimensions have a 1-to-many relation with workers (for instance, a worker can only have one seniority level, but several workers can have the same seniority level). Other dimensions have a many-to-many relation with workers (for instance, a worker can be proficient with more than one tool, and several workers can be proficient with the same tool). And then, we have another table for requests. I have an automation that handles bulk uploaded PDF-files, with logic that extracts an ID-number and date from the filename. It then copies the attachment to a record with matching ID in another table. It also checks a checkbox on the original record of the uploaded PDF to mark it as complete and avoid multiple runs.The automation runs fine, with just one weird "bug": The filename of the copied attachment changes to a random string "XxxxXxxxXXXx". However, if I now delete the copied attachment and go back to the uploaded file record and uncheck the "completed" checkbox to trigger the automation again, the file is copied with its original filename kept!I suspect the reason is related to the automation starting to work before the file has been fully processed by Airtable, and some kind of temporary name is used. But this is also contradicted by the fact that the automation relies on data from the filename to be extracted before it can run...My first idea was to add a delay to the automat

Seems like an easy automation - would love some help! I would like to send a notification when a status field changes - whenever it changes regardless of the status.  There is no option for "when" a status changes. I am sure someone out here in this amazing community has done this. Would love some direction, thanks!

Hi everyone,I am trying to insert in a single select field which has options "true" and "false" (without quotes) a data coming from an application through a webhook which is either "true" or "false" (also without quotes).Unfortunately, when trying to do so, I get an error 422 "Cannot parse value for field blabla".Is there an incompatibility between the values true and false and a single select field ?Shall I add quotes in the original data so it can be inserted into a single select field ?Thanks in advance for your help,Gilles

I recently built new features into my project tracking base using Timeline view and WORKDAY calculation. In both cases the ability to include holiday dates is very useful. However I quickly found two cumbersome things about using this:I need to configure the list of dates separately in each place I use them, and since this quickly got employed in a few timeline views and a couple workday calculations there are now over a half dozen places where I need to make a change when adding a new holiday date.I am using two separate lists of holiday dates - sometimes I only put in standard US holidays for client facing views, whereas in other places I also include my own planned days off for internal capacity planning.What would really help would be a feature where I could define lists of dates, then use the list references in my timeline views and workday calcs.Thanks for considering it.

Hello!I'm using a daily "find records" automation to send out digest emails to my team. I display the records in a list or grid in the email, including their Start and End fields (the records are tasks).In my base, I've formatted both the Start and End fields to display in the same timezone (EST) for all collaborators. However, in my automation, the timezone is displayed in UTC, and I don't see a way to edit it. Is there a way to ensure that the date/time in the "find records" automation matches what is in my base? Thank you in advance!

I have an automation that moves information from one table to another when a date field is entered. The problem is that the date field also has a time associated to it which is an important part of the dataset. The automation fires right as you click a day without allowing time to be entered accurately. Is there a way to only have the automation fire when a time is inputed as well?

I'm setting up a project management system. Many, not all, of the tasks will have an assignee who completes the task and an approver who checks and approves the work. Is it best to set the task up as 1) one task with one 'assignee' field and one 'approver' field; 2) one task with two assignees in the same field; 3) two tasks...one as for doing the task and one for checking/approving the task. Maybe there are other options I've not considered. Thanks for your advice!

Hi!I'm trying to create an automation where, when a record is created in one table, a record is created in another. I want one field's data to populate from the first table into the primary field in the second. The automation to create the record is working great, but I'm having trouble populating the primary field. I've tried a variety of combinations of actions, and it works in preview, but when activated, does not work.This is the automation in preview. I'm pretty sure I'm over thinking this process so I apologize in advance if this is obvious to most.I have a field in Table 1 which when data is entered, I'd like that data to automatically create a new record in the primary column of Table 2.Table 1 is my ideas bank and when I have created a  "Working Title" (field name in Table 1) for that idea, I'd like the title to be automatically added to Primary Column in Table 2, thus creating a new record.Really hope this makes sense.Any help appreciated.
