Hello,We are running a time study with our teams and we are bringing our data into Airtable from a time tracking tool.We are running into a scenario where a designer could have multiple time stamp entries for the same task on a project. The problem is we need to be able to sum up like project task records to get the overall total time they spent doing the task, thus creating a new record with the summed time number.Is there a way Airtable can do this? I started looking at rollups and formulas and I am not too sure where to start or if I am going down the right path.       Thank you!

I run a small company that makes products using parts from an inventory and sells them to vendors. I'm trying to achieve the following - I receive an order, I enter the order as an invoice which includes all the information about which products are ordered, the database checks the amount of raw parts I have in stock and tells me whether I have enough to make the products in the order. Currently I have few tables with junctions between them - a table with a list of parts, a table with the details of products and what parts are needed to make them, a table with a list of products with each product as a one line entry. Then I have invoices and a junction with invoice detail which use the product information. Currently I am using a one line entry to indicate whether an invoice is yet to be made or completed, I want a system that will tell me which parts I need to complete an invoice and then whether I have enough, which parts of the order can be made ok and which can't. I have a column of case numbers. The numbers can be made up of a number only, for example, 832, or a number with a slash and a number after it, for example, 832/1.I need to create a function that searches for all the numbers that do not have a slash and adds a slash and the digit 0 to them. For example, case number 832 will become 832/0.In Excel, this can be done with the function IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH), but this is not supported in Airtable. Do you have a suggestion on how to do this?

Hi All,I tried to get feedback from ChatGPT but it steered me wrong. Lol. Long story short, I'm trying to create an automation whereby, when a checkbox in a given record's checkbox field is checked:A status field in the corresponding record is changed from "Upcoming" to "Initiated" (I assumed this was "Update Record"). Then, a pre-made form that I have created is automatically e-mailed to a recipient (whose e-mail is already rolled up/selected on another field) on the same record. Where I'm stumped is -- on the update record action, it keeps asking for a mandatory unique record ID, and I'd like this change to instead apply to any record for which a user checks a checkbox in the checkbox field, not just a single, identified record. Any thoughts? Am I doing this incorrectly?ChatGPT said Airtable has some kind of mapping feature that could help me, here, but I couldn't find it.  

I had a AWS Lambda function that is to update an Airtable. And I am going to modify the function to adopt OAuth2 authentication. However, after testing in Postman, it requires user login in a browser and select workspaces and bases. But it is absolutly impossible for Lambda function and we don't want to store user account in the Lambda function.May I know if we can skip user login during the OAuth2 authentications? Also, can I predefine the allow list of workspaces and bases?

I created a number field for magazine circulation sizes, the first one being 900,000. I entered 900,000 and it turned into 900000. It’s pretty standard for numbers that are higher than three digits to use a comma after every third digit from right to left. So how do I make that happen in AirTable?

I am trying to create a table for my microgreen growing log. I would like to have a function that when I create a new record and fill in the crop name of that record, the corresponding harvest days will be autofilled in another field. But I don't want to use formula as the field type of harvest days as I might have to adjust the harvest days in some situation.

For various reasons, I sometimes need to have long text fields that contain spaces with no other characters. I've been doing this for over a year without any issues. But in the past 2 weeks, it seems like Airtable has stopped recognizing these "space only" strings in long text fields. If I enter any number of spaces or non-breaking spaces into a long text field with no other text, Airtable just deletes it when I leave the field.Here's an example from an older table where it worked (the "length" fields are just len(fieldName) so you can see that it's there):But this is what I'm getting now:I would greatly appreciate any ideas or suggestions!Thanks,Dorothy

I'm trying to fix a field that should show 'outstanding requests'. This displays information from a linked record field which has the setting 'limit selection to a view'. This view filters out completed/archived requests, leaving only those that are current.However, both in the in the field and in the interface that draws from the field, all the completed/archived requests still show (as well as the outstanding ones).  Other linked record fields that draw from a filtered view work fine (e.g. 'current development'). I can't figure out what's going on. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello! I'm sure there is a very easy solution for this but I am having trouble figuring it out! I have an "Ad Record" field that may or may not have a date at the start (ex. "1/2/23 | Company | Product"). This formula parses out the date for me easily enough: DATETIME_PARSE({Ad Record},'MM/DD/YYYY') However, sometimes there may not be a date (ex. "Company+") so the above formula parses an ERROR. What sort of IF statement would work here to instead leave the field empty?This didn't work for me: IF({Ad Record}, DATETIME_PARSE({Ad Record},'MM/DD/YYYY'), "")   Thank you! 

I have an automation that finds matching records for me and I, in the next step, need to update these records by checking a checkbox (true). As there are two or more records found each time I presume that I need to run a script to achieve this. I'm a complete newbie to scripts; I have used readymade scripts, but never altered (other than to change name of table, view and/or field) or written one myself.  I have searched for an answer and even tested to modify found scripts with no luck. Hi there,I am building a use case for airtable for my company, and this involves linking data collected via an airtable form to membership data which is held externally to airtable. I need to match the records from the form entries to those in the membership data and import the relevant membership number for each individual into a column in my airtable base. Is this possible? I am attempting to fine tune by lead scoring in my Airtable CRM by sorting my Contacts by the amount of consecutive 'Voicemail' values in my 'Call Result' rollup field in Contact (which is a rollup from my Touch Points' table Call Result single select drop down.What I am looking to achieve is that those who have a lot of Voicemail unanswered get sorted to the bottom for my daily calls and the ones who have the least consecutive Voicemail unanswered get sorted at the top (so I don't keep calling people who just keep going to Voicemail when copy/pasting into my Touchpoints table).Any input on how I could do this much appreciated. I've got a concatenate formula that works beautifully to join a suffix to a base number, but part of the suffix is a price, and I need to have the "." removed from the string. Here's what I have so far:IF(ISBN13!="", CONCATENATE(ISBN13, "5", {US Price}))And, for example, that would spit out:97819528473244514.99How can I get it to remove that period from the price? When I did a search for similar issues, I saw suggestions of using a substitution formula, but I wasn't sure how that would work. I'm adapting someone else's code here. Appreciate any help!

I have a table filled with applicants. I am trying to automate the process of sending rejection emails. My triggers are set to when a record matches a condition (particular stage and a checkbox is blank). I receive no errors while testing and can see all the matching records. Despite the automation being "on" it has not sent any emails. One thing to note is I had all the relevant applicants set to this stage before creating the automation but not sure if that makes a difference

Hi, I'm a complete beginner to airtable so sorry if this is a dumb question, but here goes anyway.. I created a product table which is a collection of parts grouped by name. I want to then use the name of each product as a single select field in a new table, but instead I get all the entries for every part within that product.Ultimately I want to display price information for each product - sum of all the parts cost, wholesale price etc.

I'm trying to create a time sheet where the user inputs the hours & minutes they worked in 15min increments - so 1.25 (1 hour 15 mins), 1.5 (1hr 30 mins) etc.How do I get this to appear as 1hr 15 mins, 1hr 30 mins in an hh:mm format without asking them to do their time sheets in seconds and also have the ability to roll up the totals?Ideally they would not be tracking start end times using date fields. Hello all,I am new at this and english is not my first language, but i'll try to explain.I have a number of columns with numbers in it.I want to make a formula that if the number is between 2000 en 3000 in that column then in the formula colomn it states 50 bonus and if the number is between 3000 en 4000 it states 100 bonus and when not met is says no bonus.So:Colomn 1          Formula field1899               No Bonus3999              100 bonus2545               50 bonus So far i have this formula:IF({Jul} < 2000,"No bonus",IF({Jul} >= 2000 <3000,"50 bonus",IF({Jul} >= 3000 <4000,"100 bonus",IF({Jul} >= 4000 <5000,"150 bonus")))) but all this does that it returns No Bonus or 50 bonus in every cell...What am i doing wrong?Thank you in advance for helping me.
