I have two tables as follows:Matters table:Matter(s)DescriptionClient NameLead SourceBills table:Client NameMatter(s)Total ($)Both of these tables are pulling from two different data sources. I need a way to combine them both into one table so that table 3 is as follows:Lead Source# Matter(s)Total ($)I believe the best way to do this is to create records, but I'm not sure. In addition to combining the data from two tables into one, I also need the data to stay consistent (i.e. Client Name on matters table and bills table combine into one data set on 3rd table so that Lead Source and Matters can be "associated" with them.)If anyone knows of a way to approach this, I would appreciate the help. I've been working on it for over a week.

I'm trying to find the average of a Ratings field for a product using a rollup.Based on the docs this should work: ROUND(AVERAGE(values), 2) However, I still only get whole numbers back. How can I see the result to two decimal places using a rollup?

Hi. I couldn't find any specific information related to this. We are currently looking into possible options to conver a Google-Sheets based system to something more thorough.  We want to make sure we do not hit any walls later on in the future, once the system starts to grow. For the Pro plan, there is a 100k automations limit per month.  If you perform automations outside of AirTable, using Make or Zapier, for example watching rows and then updating rows based on certain conditions - would these count towards AirTable automation limit? My intuition would tell me no, but I would prefer to be certain about this - as that way I know we always have a plan B if we hit the limit.

Hey, Is it possible to rate one record multiple times (1 collaborator to rate same recordmultiple times), and later on to show an average rating? And to do that with multiple collaborators? For example, restaurant review, Can I rate the same restaurant multiple times, and calculate the average rating for that particular restaurant? And that average rating to be a combination of multiple different ratings from multiple collaborators. I’m not quite sure how to do that… Thanks

I'd like to set up an automation to send an alert when two records have the same value in a date field.For example, Record A has a date of August 6.  Record B has a date of August 7.  Then the date of Record B changes to August 6 (same as Record A).Can someone please tell me if this is possible, and if so, how?

Morning! I'm having trouble getting Airtable to recognise the output of this formula as a date. It is basically saying "if it's in this city/country, you need to begin the project x,y or z number of months before the required by date". The last "otherwise" was "" but I've changed it to -999 so the none of the formula would spit out a string value, but that still doesn't seem to have worked. The {Client Required By Date} field is a date field in the same table and is date only (no time), so that shouldn't be an issue, I don't think. Hi community!I have an airtable that tracks VFX shots as they come in from vendors.One sheet (delivery) tracks every shot as it comes in, including the same shot with a different version number due to fixes or changesOn a separate sheet (topsheet) I have a master list of all the VFX shots in the filmOn the delivery sheet, I link each record to the master vfx record on the topsheet. That way I can see every version of a VFX shot delivered and track commentsThe issue I have is that the producer likes to see a list of every shot that is either 'not started', 'has issues' and 'passed quality check'. The issue is, because multiple deliveries are linked to the master shot, the master shot can be both 'has issues' and 'passed quality check' as the old versions are linked. Is there a way to group the 'topsheet' so that one group is all shots 'not started', all shots that have issue but none that have passed qc, and a group that is any shot that has at least one 'passed qc'ThanksJames

Hi I got help with this a little while ago and it was perfect but now I want to add to it and anything I try does not work.This is relating to an commissions payable per situation.IF(  {Booked By} = 2,  {Points Paid} * 0.04)The above works however I want to add more situations -IF booked by 0 points paid is 0.00 IF booked by 1 points paid is 0.03 ORIF booked by 2  points paid is 0.04 ORThanks in advance. 

Can I assume that the order of the record IDs returned by table.createRecordsAsync does match the order of the records to create in the function argument?

Hello everyone,I hope that you can help me with my problem.I tried to export a table in CSV, modify a column and then import it back to the same table with the updated column.However, all the columns that were hosting a link with another table are gone and I need to put them back one by one.Is it possible to import an excel or CSV file in Airtable that was originally from Airtable and has been slightly modified while keeping the links with other tables once imported? Thanks in advance!

I have an Airtable account and so does my client. When they invited me to collaborate on their account it led me into my own account. I can see the collaborators in that company here and can talk to them but now I don't know if what I am creating is in their account or mine. I also want to know if there is a way to toggle between accounts so I can be clear about where I am. 

I have an Automation that is triggered by the appearance (in a new form-generated record in Table-A, {T.A-Rec.1} ) as having a non-empty value in a field {T.A- Field.1’}.  This {T.A- Field.1} is a link to a record in Table-B.Record {T.A-Rec.1} ALSO has a link field {T.A-Field.2} containing a link, {Ref.C.Link}, to a record in Table C.I wish to update a record in Table C, the record referenced by {Ref.C.Link}.  The field in the referenced Table-C record that I want to update is {T.C-Field.3}, also a link field to Table-B.  The value that I want to put into the {T.C-Field.3} in the referenced Table-C record is that of {T.A- Field.1’}, the link to that same record in Table-B.In my Automation so far, I seem to get the trigger to work OK.   But when I try to configure an 'Update Record' Action to update the {T.C-Field.3} field in the referenced Table-C record I get very confused about specifying what record/field to update with which record/field value.  Nothing tes

I would like to have a number field that increments by one whenever the “most recent sale” date field is edited so we can sort products by the number of sales. How do I make an automation that does cellA+1 when another cellB is updated? edit: If anyone knows of a way to do this without a third field, I’d be obliged.

Hello. I am trying to create an automation or a script that updates a cell in a given table based on a unique identifier that can be matched to a unique identifier in another table. In my mind, I'm basically wanting to do a left join, except that I want to populate missing values in a column instead of just bringing the whole column in. Hello the Airtable Community! I’m working on a series of Airtable interfaces to handle different aspects of projects. It’s a kind of top-down structure, with interfaces drilling down into linked records e.g. clients > projects > invoices. The typical interfaces structure looks like this: Client A (Interface I) – Project A (Interface II) — Invoice A (Interface III) Client B (Interface I) – Project B (Interface II) — Invoice B (Interface III) To navigate between interfaces in the same client / project context, I’m using record pickers. At the moment, I manually pick the relevant record with the record picker and copy the URL parameters generated by Airtable back to my Airtable base. With such hardcoded URL parameters, I can repeatedly achieve the navigation flow that I’m eventually aiming for. Is there a way to do this “properly” dynamic, with a native Airtable function (such as RECORD_ID()) or similar? Is there an existing documentation that I missed? Is it not yet possible and

Hello! I'm trying to write a script that I can run to populate a field in one table with a value that lives in another table. There are key values in both tables that match. I have worked in SAS and a little in Python for data analysis, but I am new to Javascript. Since the forms layout in the interface is so limited (no ability to add new records in a linked table, no options for lists, grids, etc...), I'm basically using the record details layout as a form for new records entry. The problem is that the solution isn't very elegant. My users have to add a record to a list, and then open the blank record to get into the details. Any idea how to implement a page that would act as a record details form without getting there from a list or grid?

Hi all, newbie here - is there a way to create multiple columns in one go from a list of column title headers I have as a list? I have 60 + columns and have written the Column names down as a list (which can be also as rows in one column) and want to create all the columns in one go rather than one by one as it is time-consuming (all the columns are of the same type - text) . I need to restore, or more exactly, copy part of a snapshot into the base we are currently using. I realize Airtable's intented way of restoring is just to go on using the snapshot instead of the latest version, but this is not possible in this case because there are too many extensions, apps and syncs connected to it + we haven't stopped using it .Details and difficulties disclaimer:The base is a very complex BOM with thousands of records made of different combinations of hundreds of records from 4 or 5 other nested tables where all the names/primary records of all those tables are a formula composed of abbreviations of those linked records. What happened is that I lost data from one of the innermost of those nested tables and that changed the formula names of the parent records, so I can't match them to their copy in the snapshot by finding each by name. The record ids in the snapshot are different than the original, so no api or copy paste method that i know about works, not by name
