Hi everyone,I'm trying to solve a workflow/formula problem I've run into.Goal: I am building a task tracker, and it's important we have a history of steps already completed for each task. I have built a table that lists the tasks, and one of the columns is for "Most Recent Update," where team members can enter a description of the current status of the task (e.g., Jon talked to Kathy, and they want to present it during the next meeting).Issue: I want to somehow automate the transfer of any new/edited text in this field to an ongoing list of all the previous "Most Recent Update" edits. In my head, this would be a bulleted list in another column that has a bullet added to it every time the "Most Recent Update" column for that task is updated. I don't want to just have a column with an ongoing bulleted list that folks edit as the interface version of this table needs to be user friendly, and I want to be able to show just the current "Most Recent Update" text without the history in some i

I want to change single select field (named "Status") let's say from "status A" to "status B" of a product when the checkbox field (named "Checked") in checked. Both are in the same table.I already try it with automation but the error appears. What am I doing wrong here?  

Hello everyone,Looking for some help on a problem I'm trying to resolve in Airtable. Context and goal of the databaseI'm building a database of our members. The first table lists our members and their level of membership and the second table lists the training courses we offer.Back on the first table, I then inserted a lookup column to say which training course the member has taken. So far so good, everything works.Here is how it looks like so far (sorry, all in french) : Our end goal is to send to each member, at the end of the year (when it's time to renew their membership), a list of all our trainings, and for each one, show them which ones they took part of or not. If they took part in the training, it would say "Yes" and if not, it would say "No". Hey all,I am stumped and looking for some help. Here's the situation; I have linked record called subgroups (a string with an integer i.e. Pacific 6) that will be occasionally updated when the person is moved to a new subgroup. I want to keep a running record of each group a person has ever been in, so if they are in subgroup X, then moved to subgroup Y, then moved to subgroup Z, the record keeping cell would now contain "subgroup X, subgroup Y, subgroup Z" but I cannot figure out how to append the new information each time a record is updated instead of replacing or concatenating with just one other record. Hello, Quite new to Airtable, I have an issue with an automation.We are a non-profit that coaches People, who create Projects. We have a directory table called "Annuaire" where all the People are, a Projects table where we list the Projects and a Prospect Projets table for people who may be interested in our courses. The prospect table has a form, so people can enter their info by themselves. To keep things simple, the Prospect table has info related to the person (which would go in the Directory table) and the project (which will stay in the Prospect Projets table for now). The automation I have in mind is the following : 1. I have two lookup fields that are an array inside my table. One shows the number of products (30, 30, 30, etc.) and the other show the name of the products (product name 1, product name 2, product name 3, etc.).If the fields have just one product, I can easily concatenate them into "number" & "name" (e.g., 30 product name 1), but that doesn't work on multiple arrays. I'm trying to combine the fields such that the output will be number and name in order (e.g., 30 product name 1, 30 product name 2).It seems like ARRAYJOIN() into a list is the appropriate function, but I can't get it to work. The formula of IF(  ARRAYJOIN({number}),  "- " & ARRAYJOIN({number} & {name}, "\n- ")) produces "- 3030product name 1product name 2" instead of "- 30 product name 1 - 30 product name 2." Any ideas?

I have fields for "First Name" and "Preferred Name." I want the "Preferred Name" field to default to the value in "First Name," but still be editable if a different preferred name is desired. I also want to implement a similar approach for the mailing address, where the "Mailing Address" field defaults to the value in the "Physical Address" field but allows for easy editing when needed.Any ideas on how to achieve this without duplicating fields? I am designing an interface that contains a grid. I attempt to reorder the grid columns by grabbing the dots to the right of the name and manually reordering, but after changing the order it snaps back to how it was originally. I am not sure whether this is a bug or not. It occurs in the standalone Airtable Windows app and web based chrome.

This feels really silly but I can't get the LEFT, MID, RIGHT, functions to work with variables at all. It just keeps giving me an error no matter what I try. It works with a string in the function but not if I use a variable. Can someone tell me what I'm missing? Hello, I have a field that is using a formula in order to create a url. the formula is a concatenate to build a url to a form with prefill value. I then want to use it to send a email with gmail. We are working with different clients on different Airtable bases. Also internally not everyone is working on every base. We do not want to change this (and include all client data in one base) also for security reasons.But for Management I am trying to do a Base/View/Interface where the Management Team can access e.g. all upcoming campaigns for all clients, without clicking through multiple bases or tabs. Meaning this base should be feeding from all existing client bases. Being able to make changes in this base is not prio 1 (but would be a nice to have though). All bases would have the same setup/columns based on the same templateIf I would sync all client bases to e new tab within my "management view base", would Interfaces allow me to show everything at one glance?Is this possible and if so, how would I do it? 

Hi folks, I know you can prefill dates in forms using URL functions. In this case, I don't need it to happen in a form, but on new record creation. I can use a formula for "today" - but it's uneditable for the small number of instances where it needs to be overridden. It's helpful to have "default values" for number fields, but it seems weird there is no default for date fields. Surely I am missing something obvious?

I'm trying to return a value if the date matches any of a string of dates. I'm trying to make sure dates don't land on company holidays. Thanks!

Hello--I have a base filled with content that we publish every day. I'd like a view where I only see content that is supposed to publish on a Monday though, but the options for dates don't have that capability. Any ideas on how to do it?  Thanks!

Here's the process I'm trying to create:A new record is created via a form which will have a start and end date (i.e. 7/3-7/28)Based on the timeframe (above), I would like to set up an automation where additional new records are created (within the same table) for each week within that timeframe. (i.e. a new record with the dates 7/3-7/7; another record with the dates 7/10-7/14; another one for 7/17-7/21 and the last one for 7/24-7/28). There will be other fields that I'd like to copy from the original record as well. I'd like to avoid a script and just use formulas and automations, but am open to a script (although will need help writing one!) if that's the best/only option.Thank you!

It seems that Airtable JavaScript environment doesn't support parallel execution of asynchronous tasks. Is that correct ? Hello guys,I'm trying to create an automation that:When a new record is created -> Compare "E-mail" field with existing records -> If true, do something.The issue I'm facing is that: The automation is comparing the email to the contact being created instead contacts already created and always return "True" obviously.I'm I doing something wrong? I have a problem using Automation to create a link between records in two tables.I have Table A and Table B.  Table A has a link field (’Link-A-B’) to Table B.  Table A also has a Form to create a new record in its table.  The form requires user to choose an entry into the Link-A-B field.  If the user selects a particular choice for the value, then the Form exposes another field in A (‘New Option’) that the user is required to type a value into.  Upon submission of the Form in this case—with a non-empty value in the’ New Option’ field—  an automation is triggered to create a new record in table B, and to enter the value of ‘New Option’ in A into the primary field in the new record in B. All the above I have working just fine in my Automation so far.  But the next action that I want to subsequently have happen in my automation is to change the link value in the Link-A-B field in the new A record: From what the Form user had selected, To a link to

If you share a read-only Interface, is the person with read-only access required to create an Airtable account? I wish to share an interface, but I don't want the read-only user to create an Airtable account and login each time they have to view the Interface.
