I’m new to JS and been playing around with the scripting block, quite alot. I’ve been wondering about the use of the await keyword. I think i learned somewhere that await can only be used to consume promises inside async functions. Await is used in the main code. Is it me who is wrong or is the script block one big async function?

I have a table called “Settings” and a field called “Next Number” and a field called “Format” Next Number is 101000 Format is ‘TRnnnnnn’ How do I write a script that when I press run, it updates all blank Primary Keys on my view, with the new numbers in sequence, and updates the Next Number setting, ready for the next time I run the auto sequence script. I have tried using a formula, but that doesn’t work because I need to use the next number from the other table, not from the same table. I have tried using a script but I get an error all the time trying to update my barcode primary key, so thats very weird. Type 'string' is not assignable to type '{ text: string; type?: string; }'.(2322) and Can't set cell values: No record with id rec711laJqEuPh65f exists I have looked at all of the script examples. but there are not nearly enough simple examples to do even basic things like updating a simple barcode field. Hello, can anyone suggest how to create a filter where {date) is equal 2 days from today. The {date} is from Airtable and it is a lookup field. This will send email to client 2 days after the service was provided. Thank you for help

Say I have a whole table with various flowers listed, with bloom seasons, color, and whether or not they’re deer resistant. I want to be able to see JUST the records that are tagged “bloom season” in a new table. What’s the easiest way to do this? Thanks!

Hello Airtable Community! My table has a single select field with 3 options. The field is called SVC Broad Category: There is another single select field with 20 options called SVC Area: When we add tasks to the table, we assign them to a SVC Area and to a SVC Broad Category. I am hoping for assistance with an IF Statement for SVC Broad Category, so that whatever is selected in SVC Area (e.g. Alcohol) is automatically assigned to the right SVC Broad Category (e.g. Ops/Logistics). The image below shows the Areas and Categories. As always, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a formula to check if any cells on a selection of 5 are empty. Hard to explain globally, but theorically the formula would look like this: IF (Cell 1) is empty OR (Cell 2) is empty OR (Cell 3) is empty… THEN display :white_check_mark: How can I achieve this on Airtable? I am using the Time Tracker block, and the Pivot Table block to track hours and total hours. Now, I need to calculate earnings based on the total hours. I’ve played around with a few formulas and field types and can’t get it QUITE right. I have my clients listed in a multiple select column. I need the total earnings to be calculated by client and I’m having trouble wrapping my head around how to set up the base to get to this calculation.

I am looking to automatically categorize information submitted in a form into individual databases based on 1 question in the form. is this possible? I was thinking that maybe all information is submitted to one database and then split into multiple bases automatically based on some sort of linking. Can anyone help?

I am having a hard time with the IF statement. I have a Status category I would like to make student status change based on Anticipated graduation date, however, I don’t have that for all students. So this is the formula I am trying and failing at: IF( {Anticipated Graduation Date} <= TODAY(), “Graduated”, IF({Anticipated Graduation Date} > TODAY(), "Active Student”, “Unknown” ) I’ve done a couple variations and can’t seem to do it. Hi everyone ! Here is my issue : I have to manage the planning of different training session. For each session (ie : each entry), I have 3 dates, and each date has a trainer : Training A / Date 1 / Trainer 1 / Date 2 / Trainer 2 / Date 3 / Trainer 3 Training B / Date 1 / Trainer 1 / Date 2 / Trainer 2 / Date 3 / Trainer 3 … Each trainer can be on different session, and different dates. In the end : how can you get a personal planning for each trainer ? :thinking: Since filters apply to the whole entry, I have difficulties to keep only the date related to a specific trainer. I suspect I may have put my hands in the script blocks but if you have a workaround, I’ll take it ! Thanks ! Arnaud

Hello, I am using masterdata tabs in my table to harmonise data. My problem is that every time a user enters data manunally or automatically in specific columns linked with the masterdata, this may create junk data if not recognised by the masterdata list; thus requiring constant clean-up. Is there any way I can block/limit the data entry for those specific columns linked to the masterdata ? if YES, can you please provide a step by step Thank you Cloé

Hello AT community! I have a question regarding creating formulas. In my base I have 2 tables: a recipe table with each ingredient in its own field, linked to my ingredient table. In the ingredients table I have several single select fields for each allergen that a particular ingredient contains. So let’s say I want to summarize the allergens in my recipe for lemon meringue pie. I’m using a frozen pie crust that contains dairy and wheat, allergens which are indicated as “yes” in their respective fields in my ingredient table, plus eggs (another allergen). Back in the recipe table, I would like to summarize all the allergens present in my recipe for lemon meringue pie, so I could easily look at the recipe and see that it contains eggs, dairy and wheat without having to go back to the ingredient table and look at each ingredient individually. Hi all, this is my first post on the Airtable community. :slightly_smiling_face: I have a base that I use to track my FB groups activity. So I have a column with a checkbox to mark when I’ve completed something in that group. What I’d like to do is have those checkmarks automatically clear off at the beginning of each new week. Hi all, I’m quite new to Airtable and I’m trying to transition my logical thinking to relational databases from Excel but i’m struggling with something… I’ve recently imported an Excel worksheet into Airtable that contained form data and formulas on the same worksheet. In Airtable, I have been creating the tables I need and linking them to the main Data table where possible. In the Excel file, there is a form that I have also replicated in Airtable. The use case is that the form is filled out by a user and once submitted, a new line is entered into the Data table. The first 20 fields/columns within the Data table are for the inputted data from the form. The next 10 fields/columns are supposed to be calculations based on some of the data from the form and some data from other tables (vlookup from Excel). I am now trying to replicate the formulas that the Excel worksheet had (Vlookup) in Airtable but I don’t know how to use the value of another table in a formula of the current table. So

I run a pet relocation company and we have many clients who hold their pet files with us in case of a future move. We need a formula that red flags when a vaccination expiry date is imminent (e.g. in 14 days, in 28 days, etc). Really struggling with how we can incorporate this into airtable.

I have a scenario where I am mapping a Multi-Select Field in one Airtable Base to a Multi-Select Field in another Airtable Base using Integromat. The scenario requires the JSON Parse module in order to correctly parse the data to show up correctly in the 2nd Base. The Multi-Select Field can contain a variety of social media Channels, like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc. The scenario works great unless I add in more fields beyond the ones that are being sent. For example, if I map it to where there are 6 potential Channels to choose from (Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Snapchat) but only 3 are sent in the Scenario, those 3 extra fields will be sent as “null” and this causes an error in the Scenario. Is there any way to remove that null, so that the JSON produces THIS: {“Channel”:[“Twitter”,“Instagram”,“Youtube”]} instead of THIS: {“Channel”:[“Twitter”,“Instagram”,“Youtube”,null,null,null]} Thank you!

We’re making use of Airtable to help manage our delivery menu for bud.com. Airtable’s CSV Import Block helps to bring on new products for various regions into our overall catalog. Now we’re running into an issue with field mapping in the CSV Import Block: Airtable mixes up the fields to match as we import different spreadsheet, and there’s no way to quickly reset the import system. Details: We import a CSV of items from Sacramento using the Airtable CSV Import block. We have matching field names for the import data, so the fields show up matching immediately - hurray! We are importing fast. Then we go to import a CSV of items from Oakland. The Oakland fields are about 95% the same, but with a few different field names, and a different order to the fields. For this second CSV, even if they have many overlapping field names, AirTable will suggest non-matches - ignoring direct matches. So if we had matched these fields for a Sacramento CSV import: Published <= Published Weight (g) <
