Can I create a formula for calculating Interest like the one I use in Excel: UPB*{Interest Rate}*(({To Date}-{Bill of Sale Date}))/365 In Airtable, this formula generates a NaN error message: I got it to work by breaking it out into two cells and using the formula recommended for differences in dates from Airtable’s support page on NaN errors: Cell labeled “test:” IF( AND( {Bill of Sale Date}, {To Date} ), DATETIME_DIFF({To Date},{Bill of Sale Date},‘days’), BLANK() ) And in another cell, this formula: UPB*{Interest Rate Total}*(test/365)

I’m trying to make gantt chart that calculates how long different product will take to make. Depending on how busy the workshop is we might work in the weekends - however if there is a national holiday or something similar we’ll not work. I’ve made comma separated iso dates for all holidays. I can easily calculate an end date with the WORKDAY(startDate, numDays, [holidays]) but I’m trying to find a way to calculate an end date if we worked in the weekends but not holiday. So basically is it possible to only exclude the holidays?

Is it possible to conditionally shade fields themselves instead of a color line on the left side of the entry? Those are NOT catching my eye at all, and I need them to!

I’m trying to make a script that’ll work along side the Gantt chart. I want the script to automatically to find the record above the current record and push that into a link field to create a dependency. Does anyone know if that possible? I’ve been looking through the documentation, and haven’t found anything to get me started.

I’m trying to connect to the API with a private code playground such as Codepen for quick experimentation. I have a table which is a collection of contacts which are family units (kids & parents/guardians). I had planned on establishing relationships between records by having a “guardian” field which would be a link to a record in the same table. This works great. Problem is that when doing that between 2 tables it creates a linked field in both tables so I get bidirectional link. When linking to the same table I don’t get that bidirectional link - the “guardian” record can’t see what children it has. I feel like I’m missing something simple but I can’t think this morning. Any way to get the bidirectional link in the same table?

Hello, I have a field where I have a list of collaborator. I’m developping a block and I would like to get all the users ID from my field of my table. Currently I can get the name of the collaborator with : const base = useBase(); cont table = base.getTableByNameIfExists(“name_of_the_table”); const value_user = my_record[0].getCellValueAsString(“Name_of_collaborator_field”); I got the name of all my users in the value_user But now, I would like to get the list of user ID. I have a field named Postcode Area which is type formula and has nested IF statements. Is there any way to add a second action to an IF statement such as: IF (A=B, (action 1 & action 2), action 3) I would like to take the value that is returned from the IF statement and paste it into another field within the same table so that I can use it in another lookup. If there’s no possible way to do that in the IF statement, is there another way to duplicate the value of Postcode Area into another field? I have done this successfully with a script but I don’t know of a way to trigger the script when a form is submitted.

I’m trying to format a bunch of date ranges to be used in WORKDAY(). I created a script that collects these dates from a base and have them converted to iso-dates. However all my dates has a trailing time stamp of T00:00:00.000Z. Wondering if there is a quick way to omit of the time stamp so it’s only YYYY-MM-DD?

Hi Airtablers, I’m a total newb here and I’m struggling with forms for data input. I have achieved a passable/usable form on one grid which I would like to copy over and reuse with other grids rather than manually go through all the set-up and again. I’m pretty sure that this can be done since no one likes redoing stuff they already done. But, I have not discovered how. I would really appreciate hearing from you if you can tell me how to basically cut and paste a form from one grid to another. Thank you for reading. T

I’m new to JS and been playing around with the scripting block, quite alot. I’ve been wondering about the use of the await keyword. I think i learned somewhere that await can only be used to consume promises inside async functions. Await is used in the main code. Is it me who is wrong or is the script block one big async function?

I have a table called “Settings” and a field called “Next Number” and a field called “Format” Next Number is 101000 Format is ‘TRnnnnnn’ How do I write a script that when I press run, it updates all blank Primary Keys on my view, with the new numbers in sequence, and updates the Next Number setting, ready for the next time I run the auto sequence script. I have tried using a formula, but that doesn’t work because I need to use the next number from the other table, not from the same table. I have tried using a script but I get an error all the time trying to update my barcode primary key, so thats very weird. Type 'string' is not assignable to type '{ text: string; type?: string; }'.(2322) and Can't set cell values: No record with id rec711laJqEuPh65f exists I have looked at all of the script examples. but there are not nearly enough simple examples to do even basic things like updating a simple barcode field. Hello Airtable Community! My table has a single select field with 3 options. The field is called SVC Broad Category: There is another single select field with 20 options called SVC Area: When we add tasks to the table, we assign them to a SVC Area and to a SVC Broad Category. I am hoping for assistance with an IF Statement for SVC Broad Category, so that whatever is selected in SVC Area (e.g. Alcohol) is automatically assigned to the right SVC Broad Category (e.g. Ops/Logistics). The image below shows the Areas and Categories. As always, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am using the Time Tracker block, and the Pivot Table block to track hours and total hours. Now, I need to calculate earnings based on the total hours. I’ve played around with a few formulas and field types and can’t get it QUITE right. I have my clients listed in a multiple select column. I need the total earnings to be calculated by client and I’m having trouble wrapping my head around how to set up the base to get to this calculation.
