Hello Everyone, New to Airtable and enjoying it so far. I couldn’t find help on this and I am guessing there’s a better way to do this. Appreciate your help in advance. I want to followup in 10 days if a checkbox is checked, or 30 days if it isn’t. Here is an elaboration of the condition followed by the formula that gives an error: If the checkbox {A} is checked, {B} < 10 days “Looks Good” else “Needs Check In!”. However, if the checkbox is not checked, {B} < 30 days “Looks Good” else “Needs Check In!” Here is the formula that gives me an error: If ({A} = 1, IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {B}, ‘days’) < 10, “Looks Good”, “Needs Check In!”), IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {B}, ‘days’) < 30, “Looks Good”, “Needs Check In!”)) Thanks, Sunny

I am trying to retrieve all records from a table. The master view has filters on it that have to stay there for other business users, but I would like to retrieve all records without the filters with the API. More specifically, the table is filtered to records added in the last week, but I need all of the records from the beginning of the table. Is there a way to use the API to get all records even if the table in the browser has filters on it?

Hi, I have a subscription startup and we are using airtable as our backbone. In one table I have all the information of my customers with the usual information: name, address, email, phone number, etc. A couple of weeks ago we did a digital marketing campaign using Instagram where we gave a present to the health professionals to celebrate them and thank thank them for their service in this pandemic. In another table I have the instagram user name, name, phone number and address. Some of them turn to customers and now I do not have a simple way to check who are the new customers that decided to purchase a subscription. Is there any way to cross check both tables and find those that received a gift and are now customers? Adding a label or anything to identify them? Thanks in advance. Hope someone can help me.

First of all I would like to say thank you for everyone contributing to the Airtable Community, I have been saved hundreds of time by the ideas and solutions posted here. Now, I would like to pose a problem I’ve been dealing with: I’m creating a data base to keep record of project ideas pitched by a team. I want to be able to prioritize ideas from people who have already suggested something before AND had their idea chosen for further development. I managed to indicate all people that already submitted an idea thanks to this: Can I find unique values and put them in a column? Now I would like to have a field indicating if that person has had an idea picked for developement before, but I’m stuck and can’t find a solution. I have an array with all the people who have submitted an idea before, now I need to know the status of these ideas. I believe the way to do this is create an array for each recurrent user with all values from the idea status column so I could verify if any status is ‘

I’m an old Oracle DBA. My first day using Airtable and I like it already. Here’s my issue. I’ve been building my base creating tables and demo data to test my design. When linking tables I included the fields that would provide context in helping me select the right record to link. Looking back, I should have included a few more link fields to give my grids/views better context as well. How can I add these now without dropping/recreating these links and all my data? Any help would be much appreciated. Mike P.

I have 2 tables. One is for form submissions where people attending trainings enter their information and the numeric ID of the training they attended. The second table is key value pairs matching a training ID to its name. I need to look for the ID that matches the number the user entered and if found display the training name. If not found flag the record for followup. I will not have the people filling out the form select from the list of trainings as it will eventually be thousands of lines long.

I am wanting to know if there is a formula that can make a record use ALL CAPS like the picture. Ideally I would like for my First Name and Last Name inputs not to be in ALL CAPS, but would would like to have a formulas that mimics this style for the records. Hello, I have a field that based on a closing date of a sale, converts the closing date to the ‘dddd’ so as i can see which day of the week i sell most. If I have not closed the status of a product it shows #error in the value. I’d like tobe empty. DATETIME_FORMAT({Closed Date},‘dddd’)

Is it possible to display multiple fields in a single row? Seems like Airtable can only display one field per row:

Greetings! I’ve looked everywhere, but can’t find a way to jump from one letter to another in a column. I’ve just started a large research project, and have 1,110 entries, based upon LAST NAME. It would be fantastic if I could easily jump from where I am in the table to the beginning of the letter a new entry begins with, since I need to check for duplicate entries (not simply based on the last name…it’s more complicated than that). I’m familiar with the search function, of course, but that takes FAR too much time. I can use the keyboard shortcuts to get to the top or bottom of the chart in a flash, but that doesn’t help me much when I have to look up and see what I have (if anything) for Molly Mergatroyd! My team is using a base to hold client info for meeting attendees. We are all collaborators on this base. We each have our own sheets for our own projects (meetings) in the base (the first sheet is the database). We have a form in the database that we all send to potential attendees to fill out as a “registration form.” We have been using it for a couple of weeks and all has been going well, but just a few days ago, the form submission email (that we check at the bottom of the form) now goes to random team members and not the team member who sent the form. We have done several tests and have verified that we are logged in as ourselves and that the email at the bottom of the form is correct. As an example…my team member Katie sent the form to potential meeting attendees and she checked the box at the bottom of the form to receive an email when someone submits a form. Hi everyone, I am trying to import an airtable calendar into Outlook using an ics file. However, it appears that the owner of the calendar has everything coded as UTC when it should be in EST. Thus, when I import into Outlook, it tries to adjust into my local time and everything ends up in the middle of the night. I don’t have any ability to change the calendar itself, only viewing and downloading an ICS or CSV file. Is there any way I can edit the ics file itself so that outlook thinks the times are in EST? Though it may not be the place, this leads me to two other quick questions: If I import the calendar, will it automatically update if changes are made on airtable, or is it static from the moment I import it? Also, is there any way I could import only certain events after applying a filter? I can apply the filter I want on the airtable interface, but I’m wondering if I can basically apply that filter to an exported ics. Thanks so much!

Dear wizards of Airtable, We run a program for kids this summer. Within a timespan of 4 weeks they can choose which day they’d like to join us. On their last day, they get a “good bye gift”. Unfortunatly this is easily forgotten. Since we run our registration and administration thru airtable I was hoping for you guys might now a solution for this. I’m looking for a formula that kinda goes like this: IF: only on the last [sign up date] equals [today] status should change to, “good bye gift” For example: Johny is with us on monday, 4th, 5th and 6th of July. Only on July the 6th his status should change (not the other 2 days). The “sign up date” field is a multiple-select field. I need a formula (and probably a little detour) that understands which date is the latest date in the sequence. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I’ve taken to Airtable recently to catalog all my acquired clients. I have a single select field called ‘$Flow’ that tells when the current status of the client in the sales funnel, for example: Made contact, Talking, Email, Won, and Lost. What I want is a formula that can tell me exactly when I win a client over. I.E. when I turn the single select field from any other option to ‘WON’ the date (and time, if possible) should be captured in the formula column. I used the formula: IF({$Flow}=“Won”, NOW()) But the date always resets every time I reopened the table, not when I originally turned the option to WON. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help? Thanks Yashwant.

I use Airtable to hold content parsed from HTML emails. The html content is in a long text field. I want a Block that I can use to render the message content from those emails. Does this exist?

Hello! I have a program that can make API calls via HTTP Request but you can only input URL’s. Is it possible with the Airtable API to create records using just a URL with query parameters? Everything I’m finding says to use curl but that’s not possible with the software I’m using. If not is there a service that my software can send a URL with query parameters to and then it takes it and executes the proper curl to Airtable? Maybe Postman? Thank you.

Thank you for taking your time to look at this. The company I work for offers services that are modular, so not all clients are going to request the same services. The client will pick and choose the services that they need. To help automate the quotes we give for our pricing, I’m trying to use a formula field to calculate the final cost, however I’m running into problems. As of right now, I want to use multiple single select fields with the name of the service with the options of selecting YES or NO I’ve written up the following formula. IF({Service 1}=“Yes”,13,0) I can assign a dollar amount to the service.The problem I’m running into, is getting all the services to add together to give one total amount. What I would like to do is, 1. Give each service a dollar amount. 2. Then using that number, calculate all the services the client has requested into one final total that uses the currency format. Lets pretend that there are 3 services. Service 1 is $13. Service 2 is $67. Service 3

I’ve generated a page using the page designer block. Is there a way to create a new field in the original table and add a print of this page? I’m thinking along the lines of an attachment. Thanks!

I already receive submissions to my Airtable via a form, and would like to allow submitters to pick a date from a list of available dates from a calendar field. Once someone reserves or picks a date and submits the form, that date should be removed from the list of available dates. I would also like to allow people to reserve dates up to 3 weeks into the future. Calendly already supports this functionality (and in fact I have a Calendly for this purpose) but would prefer to be able to collect submissions from a single Airtable form. Is this possible?

Hey hi! Ok. So I have a Table with multiple Views, each with a specific criteria of hidden tables and Page Designer set up to pull from various Views. All seems totally normal. BUT… when I attempt to edit a record from within the Page Designer Block using the “Expand Record” button, Page Designer will only ever show me the same specific View. Doesn’t matter what View I select in the Block’s dropdown; whenever I am trying to edit from “Expand Record” from within the Page Designer Block it seems “stuck” on showing me the same (read: wrong) View; a View that has all the wrong hidden fields. I have reloaded the Block. I have disabled/enabled the Block. Any ideas out there? Anyone noticed similar/same ? Thanks C

Good Morning Brilliant Friends! Is anyone aware of web based database tools that are ideal for data analysis and ongoing process capability analysis? Airtable is great for project management, but is extremely limited in it’s ability to crunch data. We could use Microsoft Access, but it’s not exactly intuitive and I am hoping to find a beautiful interface like Airtable, but focused on data analysis. Thank you! Paul Warren

As our business has grown over the last several months, we are finding a need to automate some redundant tasks. Is there a way that I could create a ROW in TABLE 2 when I add a ROW to TABLE 1 (When a certain field is VALID)? Furthermore, if this is possible - could I have the new linked row auto populate with fixed fields or information? Ex: Table 1 (Manual Input) ABC Liquors / 123 Boulevard / John Doe 123-456-7890 / … / Conditional Field that yields NEW ROW Ready to Launch? (Y/N) Table 2 (How do I add fixed fields in place, if possible) ABC Liquors / Ready To Launch / …general info… / (Y/N) / Fixed Fields / Anyone’s expertise is greatly appreciated!

I accidentally deleted my table when I was trying to delete a view. How can I recover this?

Hello, We use Airtable for confidential information. Is there a way to lock a view so that not only can our team not change the filter settings, but also not be able to duplicate the view? Also, is there a way to create a personal view, but for a group of people? Is there a way to keep people out of certain locked views? Something else that would be helpful is being able to customize the permissions of each user for each view. For example, I would like users to have editor permissions for Views A, B, and C but Read only permissions for Views D, E, and F. I know this can be solved by creating different bases, but because we can not link bases, copying and pasting records from one base to the other would allow the possibility of clients falling through the cracks.
