Hello - I recently created a Custom form using the ‘Encode URL’ component to prefill fields on a feedback form for our members. We email the custom URL to customers but when they complete it, it’s creating a duplicate entry on the grid view in Airtable vs updating the record with the URL we sent. Anyone else experience this? Is there some way to prevent it?

I’m trying to query Linked Records out of a Linked Record Field from the record selected by cursor. I am trying to do so inside a component that is nested 4 levels deep, and has had said record passed down to it through props. When I attempt to await the result of .selectLinkedRecordsFromCellAsync() I get an error: And when I attempt to get them directly from .selectLinkedRecordsFromCell(), I get nothing back in my const linkedRecords, even though I’m 100% certain I have Linked Records there to query: I’m doing a horrible job of debugging this, and I have a feeling it’s likely something simple – a rookie mistake that I’m just missing. I am putting different decimals accurate no. to my table, but I just want them to show in 2 decimals. Like in pop. column, I put 1.459868 and 1.84390809. I want them to show as 2 decimals but keep the original. So in one day I still can convert back to the originals. How to do that? Nelson

How do I enable visibility of a particular scripting block when a view is shared i.e. on click of “open form”?

Is it possible to allow access to view (grid or gallery) only when input by user matches a field? For example I want user to only see his or her records, so I will get name or mobile as input and filter records to show only this.

I am trying to figure out the best way to create the “New Record in View” trigger that Zapier has without having to use both softwares for my project. Ideally, this would be an Instant Trigger rather than a Scheduled Trigger, so I think the best way to do this would be with a “Watch Records” module in Integromat. Can anyone recommend the best way to go about doing this? Is there any way to do this without having to rely on the “last modified time” or “created time” fields? Thank you!

Hi - I want to allow users who fill in a form to either select a pre-created option (easy) OR create their own option. Put another way, I’d like a form user to add their own options to our overall table, which then become options for future users (although those users can still add their own new options). I believe I have set everything correct: Clicked on → Allow this field to be set in records created through forms. It is a multi-select field that can easily have new options added directly in the table (but not from the form). I have received the following error: Cannot accept submissions because forms don’t have permission to set the required field XYZ.

I have a form on my website that takes in information, runs some calculations, and outputs updated values. Is there a way to insert a record of the output in Airtable every time someone uses the tool? Is this something our PHP developers should work on or is there a simpler way for me to integrate with Airtable without writing PHP? Thanks.

Hello airtablers, I have a field {RESPONSE} with 5 possible choices A,B,C,D,E I need to be able to give a score based on each response. So if response is A OR B score is 4 if response is C OR D score is 1 if response is E score is 3 This would be easy to solve with a switch function but the cell with responses returns all the responses concatenated in a single array (A;B;C;D;E). Is there a way to score the responses? Thanks a lot

I have been using an AirTable base with about 600 records for an MVP backend of a webapp built through AppGyver using Airtable’s API. Unexpectedly, I can no longer access the base, whether through the API or through the AirTable interface. I get the following message: the base is unavailable. And I am certainly not sending over 5 API calls a second. What gives?

Hi Airtable Friends, I want to combine four things in my primary field: (1) Story ID#, (2) Date, (3) Storyteller, and (4) Story Title – all separated by a " - ", of course. I was able to get the first two things with this formula: ({Story ID#} & " - " & DATETIME_FORMAT(Received, ‘DD/MM’)) & " - " But when I follow this up with {Storyteller} & " - " & {Story Title}, I get a message that says: “Sorry, there was a problem saving this field. Can’t save field because it causes a circular reference.” To be clear, here’s the full formula that keeps getting rejected: ({Story ID#} & " - " & DATETIME_FORMAT(Received, ‘DD/MM’)) & " - " {Storyteller} & " - " & {Story Title} I’ve tried a number of variations using parenthesis and curly brackets, but always get the “sorry” message. Grateful to anyone who can help me get past this irksome obstacle!

I have a simple gallery, showing three fields. One of the fields links to related records. The gallery card shows a limited number of related records before it cuts them off. I would like to print the gallery cards showing all related records. How do I do that?

Is there a way to view ALL of the “LONG TEXT” field without having to OPEN it? By default, it only shows the first time… is there a way to see ALL the lines? Thanks, George

I am trying to import an .ics file (generated from Google Calendar) into Airtable with the calendar block, but when I get to the mapping step, the only fields I’m able to map are the Name and the Notes. For some reason the date and time fields are not mapping.

Hi, I’m writing an item order table and have been successful in pulling prices from a matrix based on qty input using the Tiered system, but I find I now need to include the ability to override the price. Hi everyone, I would like count the number of records form another table. For example, I have created a table with all the payments that the company receives, and they are linked to the customer master record. But I would like to add a control in the customer table of the number of payments made by this customer (the number of records, because a payment is represented by a line). I have a formula I can’t figure out. My column that I want as a formula is called “Forecasted SCIP Received” To calculate this date, I need to use another column called “Actual Site Walk Date” plus a “Duration” column. However, if “Actual Site Walk Date” is empty, I need it to use “Forecasted Site Walk Date” instead, so: If the “Actual Site Walk Date” is not Empty, then “Actual Site Walk Date” + “Duration”. But if Actual Site Walk Date is empty, then “Forecasted Site Walk Date” + “Duration” How do I write this?

Hi everyone, I’m new to this. I have created a table to collect student grades. I collect the data on a form and populate the Student and Score fields by use of a form. Thus, I have many different names in my Student field. When I filter the names, I easily separate out any specific student’s scores over the previous 20 tests. But, I cannot figure out how to AVERAGE these scores for each student. Can this be done, or is my data collection method fundamentally flawed and I should start over again? I have 2 different lookup fields: Release1 = lookup individual item release date from another table ReleaseMulti = rollup multiple items release date based on condition (if its a multi-item) using MIN(Values) I then have a formula field: RELEASE = IF(Release1="", ReleaseMulti, Release1) Without grouping, this RELEASE field appears correct… for example showing 9/30/2020 in several records. However… if I group by RELEASE, I find that it will split into different groups if the 9/30/2020 is from Release1 vs ReleaseMulti in a different group This is very problematic. I know ReleaseMulti is an array value, and on a similar text based field I used &’’ trick I read on these boards which solved that issue. But in this date field adding the &’’ to the end of ReleaseMulti in my formula does not work. I also tried many combinations of arrayflatten, arraycompact, date parse, datetimeformat, etc… to no avail Can anyone advise how to get a single date from the ReleaseMulti array and conve

I’m trying to make a script to make product planning easier in conjunction with the gantt chart. I have four fields. startDate (date) endDate (formular) depended (link field to same table) lookUp (looks up the endDate via the depended link field) In the first record I put I set a startDate and endDate gets automatically calculated based on various parameters. in the second record link to to the first record and and the look up field looks up the above endDate, which my script then passes into the startDate and then it stops. My problem is that I want to have a bunch of records stacked on top of each other. Set the dependency field (which job it should follow) and press a button and then it’ll pass the lookUp endates into every start date, but because the lookUp takes a little time to update, it stops after the the first date. Hi everybody, I am new to using Airtable. I am sure that there is a formula for this but I can’t seem to find it or I don’t write it in a correct way. With a API service of a third party software I pull data from my Airtable. This data is dynamically filtered by using filterByFormula. The data I need is in the column called “groupcode” and has numeric values varying from 100 and 900. These numbers stand for product categories. Normally if I need products from the category with the number 212 I use the following formula. {groupcode"} =“212” But now I need products from category 212 and 268. Is there a way I can display only the records of two different specifc values ? Any suggestions or tips are appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Just wondered has anyone used Airtable to Organise their company manual? I am quite new to Airtable and getting a little over-excited - at the moment our company manual drives me crazy as it frequently needs updating (or at least small sections do) just wondered if anyone else had popped there’s into here and if so what it looked like and how successful its been

Is there a way I can add the same record twice in a linked record field? I’m building a product sales database. When I have 2 of the same item in a customer order, I can’t figure out how to add the same item twice in the order record. I’d rather not have to track each order item individually on it’s own row because it becomes difficult to calculate the shipping costs for each item in the same order. Thanks in advance for any help!
