Hi, I have social media base that has two tables – one for content creation and one for our social media posts. I have an automation setup to automatically create a post record when a content record is set to a certain status. It also copies over related fields such as campaign, location, etc. The problem is the automation triggers as soon as that status is selected, which is sometimes before the other fields are updated.I’ve tried adding a script to delay the create record action, but it still only pulls in the fields that were filled out when the whole automation is triggered. Is there a way to delay the new record creation stage so that it waits a few minutes after the status is updated and then pulls in the rest of the relevant fields into the new record? Or, is there a way to update the linked post record fields if any of the fields in the content record are updated after the post record is created?
After the recent update introducing new appearance styles for single select fields, I'm experiencing an issue with forms.Issue:When selecting "List" as the appearance option for a single select field in a form, the field stretches all the way to the right edge of the form, ignoring any expected width constraints.Expected behavior:The list options should be contained within a reasonable width, similar to how the dropdown appearance displays.Steps to reproduce:1. Create or edit a form2. Add a single select field3. Set the appearance to "List"4. Preview the form — the list options stretch to the full width of the formIs this a known bug being addressed, or is there a setting/workaround to control the width? Thanks in advance!
I am currently using Salesforce, but I am not maximizing what Salesforce can do. This is a good thing because it means I can move away from Salesforce, and I heard that Airtable could be a much better solution. There are two problems with this:I'm trying to get a demonstration from Airtable, but I have not heard back from them yet. I know they are busy, but I'm hoping that I can get a demo before I make such an important decision for our business.\tI'm just wondering if anybody knows somebody in this community that could help us transition from Salesforce to Airtable as a consultant for x amount of time so that this transition is smooth.Thank you so much for everybody for reading this. I am new to this community, so I appreciate your patience with my questions.
Hi all,I’m currently building a new hire onboarding process, and I’m struggling to understand the best way to set up the flow. Here’s what i’m trying to accomplish:New hires added manually to the “New Hire” tab\tThe onboarding steps are outlined in the “Onboarding Steps Tab”\tWe’d like to: manage the flow of each employee through the onboarding steps (which include things like: Send new hire welcome email, add employee to workday, manager to create onboarding plan etc, all the way through the 30/60/90 day post start date plan\tWe’d like to automate as much of this as possible (team reminders, emails, slack messages etc)To do this i’ve set up three tables so far:New Hire Tab (the employee info)\tOnboarding Steps (the process the employee goes through, but managed by a number of internal teams)\tA junction table combining both of these Where i’m struggling: Is a junction table the best way to set this up?\tHow do I auto assign departments and team members to each new employee’s onboarding proc
I have a custom interface created by Omni where I have a button to create a new record in a table. When I’m creating a record from this interface, I want to upload a csv file into an attachment field, however, the code isn't working. The file will appear to have been uploaded, but when I check the data table, it's not uploaded or it's uploaded in a corrupt format that doesn't load again. How can I fix this in the interface? Omni has not been able to solve for this yet.
I have a base that tracks work request tickets. One of the fields I initially built in was a ‘Priority’ field, with options of Low, Normal, and High. Having used this base for several months, nobody has ever selected Low and a wide majority have selected Normal, with a small handful of High.I’d like to change this field to a checkbox for High priority, and we can assume the ticket is Normal otherwise. Is there a way to change the field without losing the data that’s currently there? Can I somehow convert the ones that had selected “High” into having a checked box?
Hey! We are in a need of a feature that when the team is collaborating on a card/row and they comment @ one another. We want those to fire into slack too. They are too often missed on email. Any thoughts?
I have an interface that is shared with non airtable users regularly and need the documents in the interface to be downloadable. The interface is shared publicly but when viewing the interface as a non user there is no download option for the attachments. How do I fix this?
For some people grouped view is cutting off data displayed. Not a browser issue - has anyone else seen this? See last few rows
I am importing records that have attachments, and that attachment can be csv or text or json . . whatever. Airtable ai wont read it, can a script in an automation read data from an attached non image file?
I have a requirement to move the csv files in SFTP and S3 to airtable, the file size is huge, have more than 1M records, is there a reliable integration in place to achieve this.
I work for a small nonprofit and am trying to build a base to track our required legal filings. I have tried generating formulas and/or automations to help create an auto updating due date field but nothing that I have found to try is working. The base has 2 tables, one with list of the required filings and one with the submissions, linked to the proper required filing. On the required filings table I have a field with the current due date, a rollup showing the most recent submission date, and a single select field for the frequency of the required filing (annual, etc). I want the current due date to update when the year in the most recent submission and the current due date match. The new due date would be based on the single select field where Annual = advance 1 year, Biennial = advance 2 years, Quinquennial = advance 5 years, and One-Time = remove the date. For example, if our Form 990 has a current due date of May 15, 2026 and is due annually, when we add the filing listing that i
Hello everybody,I’m trying to add a new user in the admin panel. When I click the “Send invitation” button, I see the message: “1 collaborator has already been invited.” However, I can’t see this person in my Pending Invites list, and the user hasn’t received any invitation.Do you have any idea what might be happening? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, I am new here. I started learning how to use Airtable on my own. I would appreciate if there is anyone that that is willing to be my mentor as I progress in the Airtable journey.
Hi,We’re looking at adding e-mail tracking (open, follow links etc) to our mails that currently are sent from Airtable with its Gmail function. This is for individual mails to leads, not bulk mailing, so no need to add any dedicated mailing services to the stack.I learnt about Paste Pixel from the community here, but now they have a notice saying they don’t take new customers when trying to sign up, and I’m getting no response on my mails.Would anybody know if Paste Pixel is still alive, or if there are other similar services? I’m familiar with BaseMailer, but their pricing seems very steep, and it may be unnecessarily complex for our current needs. We use Zapier, if that would help finding other alternatives.Rgds,Björn
Currently the resolved comments option removes the comments from the All Comments drop down, which causes a lot of users to miss them unless they know to go and toggle to a different comments view for Resolved Comments. This also negatively impacts our end users as they have to piece together everything int he All Comments with the Resolved Comments views being separate. Is it possible to pull the resolved comments into the All Comments view?
I’ve been importing data to bases and found Airtable has been dropping entries. My CSV file has 11k+ entries yet once imported it gets cut down to 10k. Is this a limitation on Airtable’s part?I’ve been importing my CSVs through the email function. Does this have something to do with emailing data specifically? Does this only happen when you first set up the base and not when you update the data again with another email?I plan on eventually automating my email imports so I’d like to get this dealt with. I do not want my entries being dropped with any more initial imports and future automated reports.
I’m working on a proof of concept for a product we’re releasing. The idea is a pretty landing page that potential, existing students can sign up for a session or two. We also want the data to be gathered and reported within AT, hence shying away from the Zoom + landing page. Anyone setup any “cool” Airtable portals. Would love to experiment, again for proof of concept.
Given:Date field (that does not include time)\tSet to local time (EST)\tSet to default to the current date.Result: when within the UTC-5 window (i.e. after 7pm) the displayed date defaults to the next day. There MUST be away to make this work correctly - yes?
I’ve recently noticed an error appearing in the developer console when running a custom block. This appears to be happening both in development and when released to the base.I am running the latest versions of both the block CLI (3.0.1) and the SDK (1.19.0). As far as I can tell, these messages are displayed when writing data back to the base, for example:table.createRecordsAsync() || table.updateRecordsAsync()Any insights into why this is happening, and how I can go about fixing the error? While writes to the base are seemingly unaffected, these messages are cluttering the console log, and if not relevant, should not be emitted to begin with.
Hi Airtable community! 👋I recently started playing the Letter Boxed word game (from The New York Times Games), and it sparked an idea: what if we could use Airtable to track our daily Letter Boxed puzzles, solutions, and strategies? If you’ve not played it yet, the game gives you 12 letters arranged on the sides of a square and challenges you to connect all letters using the fewest words possible — each word must start with the last letter of the previous one and can’t reuse letters from the same side consecutively. It’s a fun mix of vocabulary, logic, and optimization.Since Airtable is great for organizing data and spotting patterns, I thought it’d be cool to build a simple base to:• Log daily puzzle letter sets• Record solutions and word counts• Track how many times we used each strategy• Analyze trends (e.g., common tricky patterns, average solve length, top player solutions)Here’s what I’m thinking for the table structure:📌 Table “Puzzles” – date, puzzle letters, difficulty notes\ud83d
I'm writing to inquire if it's possible, either through an extension or natively, to track whether an email sent via automation has been opened or not.
8 days ago, Airtable experienced a 6+ hour long outage, as evidenced here:https://status.airtable.com/incidents/2n6qq3xbrsjpMy questions are:Will there be some sort of public root cause analysis/explanation for this event?\tWhat changes have been made to prevent this outage from happening again?\tWhy was “Login with Airtable SSO” broken during this outage?\tIf community.airtable.com is supposed to be the central place for users to report issues during outages, then why was it IMPOSSIBLE to login, post, and comment during the outage?
Hi Airtable Community 👋,I’m exploring how constraint-based logic games like Letter Boxed answers (from The New York Times) can inspire better product and workflow designs especially for knowledge work and team habits. One idea I’m playing with is an Airtable base that models Letter Boxed mechanics to:• Track word sequences where each new entry must start with the previous word’s last character• Automatically validate whether entries follow the constraints• Score progress, trends, and “streaks” over time• Enable different rule sets (daily challenge, team competitions, word limits)I’ve started a base with:✅ Tables for Word Entries✅ Automations to check validation logic✅ Views for Daily Challenges vs All Time✅ Blocks/Scripts for scoringBut I’m running into these questions:🔹 Best way to validate entry sequences automatically?🔹 Should I use Scripting Block, Automations, or both?🔹 What’s a clean schema for tracking constraint violations & user history?🔹 Any template ideas for extend
Hi everyone! 👋I’m running into a weird behavior when working with Google Sheets and wanted to see if anyone here has ideas or has run into something similar.Every time I add a new row manually (or via automation), the new row is not being added at the bottom of my sheet — instead it’s always inserting at row 1257, pushing all existing rows below that down. I expected new rows to be added to the end of the data range. Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:\tThe sheet definitely has data below row 1257.\t\t\tNew rows always appear at 1257, not at the lowest existing row.\t\t\tI’m working either manually or via a script/automation (could be Apps Script/Zapier/Make/Webhook).\tHas anyone seen this happen before?Does anyone know what settings, filters, named ranges, scripts, or other quirks might cause Sheets to treat row 1257 as “the end” of the sheet?Happy to provide screenshots or more context if needed. Thanks in advance! 😊
