I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I am noticing that for the past few weeks it can take several minutes to query a view in Airtable using the API. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or was some recent change made to degrade service? It’s been working great for years, and unfortunately I have to update the backend to use cached records in AWS instead of calling the Airtable API directly via the ‘pyairtable’ SDK. Just a lot of work that’s heading me down a migration path of removing Airtable from our stack, since the workaround is literally not to use the Airtable API, which means no Airtable, ultimately.
While testing automation with Airtable, the webpage froze. I closed the page and tried to re-access Airtable, but the homepage wouldn't load. I could access other pages besides the main page, but when I logged in, I saw the screen below. I tried using a different account, but the same thing happened.
I found something that talked about 216px, but it keeps doing this.
I get that you can upload a document to Superagent, but will it analyze all of the documents that are attached/uploaded to an Airtable database (i.e., so you don't have to upload them manually)?
Does right now form cannot upload attachments for read only/free users?errror says “You are not permitted to perform this operation”
Hi Airtable Community! 👋I’ve been working on a small project where I use Airtable to track and analyze my daily Letter Boxed (NYT word puzzle) performance, and I’d love some advice on improving the structure and automations.🎯 What I’m Trying to DoI want to build a base that: Stores daily Letter Boxed puzzles (letters on each side) Logs the words I used to solve them Tracks number of words per solution (2-word solves, 3-word solves, etc.) Calculates average solve efficiency over time Identifies commonly reused word patterns 🗂 Current SetupI currently have:Table 1: Daily Puzzles Date Letters (long text field) Word Count (formula) Difficulty Rating (manual select) Table 2: Words Used Linked to Daily Puzzles Word Word Length First Letter Last Letter I’m using formulas to check: Whether the last letter of Word 1 matches the first letter of Word 2 Total character coverage of all 12 letters ❓ Where I’m Stuck Is there a better relational structure for tracking multi-
I have a table where I’m recording goods sold off from our inventory with a checkbox and status change. When I change the dropdown to `Sold` or `Donated` - I want to be able to : Copy certain columns from one table to another (in the same base) Request certain fields to be completed (sale receipt upload, sale price added, etc)Is that at all possible in Airtable?
Looks like I’m one of the first to do get into it on Superagent. lol I am creating an in depth product training for a beauty brand w/Superagent. I can’t seem to get it to use actual images of the products though, it keeps creating (rather terrible) ones. Is there a way to do this? Or edit by hand?
I’m building two workflows in Airtable, Workflow A and Workflow B.Workflow A includes Task 1, Task 2, and Task 3. Workflow B includes Task 4, Task 5, and Task 6.Task 3 in Workflow A cannot begin until Task 2 in Workflow A is completed and Tasks 4 and 5 from Workflow B are also completed. What’s the best way to set up Airtable so I can track cross‑workflow task dependencies like this? These two Workflow’s overlap with eachother so is there a way I can set up like Status’s for each task that when one task is blocked until xyz tasks are marked as completed?
I am trying to figure out how to show growth of a set of records over time, cumulatively. I have created a column in my table that shows the date of when each new record was added, but when I try to graph that in Interfaces, it seems to only let me show to total number of records added in each given month, I can’t figure out how to make a chart that shows the new monthly total added to the previous monthly total to give cumulative growth over the course of the year. I have found a few previous help questions that were similar, but it seems like no one really got an answer. Is this impossible in Airtable?
Hi to anyone so grateful.I gone through every setting and cannot change the setting so I canadd a record/bottom row or duplicate because its says "you cannot create a new record because it is configured that no one can add a new record? with a lock sign in the bottom left.I have tried unsynching, changing permissions and checked the plan but no luck at all.Any step by step ideas are so welcome? Thanks
I built a fairly complex Airtable architecture about 12 months ago. Since then, both our operational model and my own Airtable knowledge have evolved significantly.I now want to redesign parts of the structure, including primary fields, relationships, automations, AI usage, and reducing manual inputs, so it’s more scalable and aligned with how we operate today. This means that filtering by year or creating views won’t be a viable solution as would break the data schema needed for the old data and built metrics to work. The challenge is that I have 12+ months of historic data that’s critical for KPIs, forecasting, and performance tracking. I don’t want to lose that history, but I’d like to effectively “start fresh” in 2026 with a cleaner structure focused only on new data.Additional considerations: I need to ensure the archive and the live 2026 base are not structurally connected, changes in one must not affect the other. The build is heavily reliant on connected data (linked records,
Hi everyone — quick question about Airtable’s native Google Drive sync feature. We use a synced Google Drive table that should refresh automatically about every ~5 minutes. Occasionally, the sync fails or disconnects, but Airtable seems to only surface this through the UI (banner/error state), not through any automation trigger or field.Goal: Send a Slack alert when the sync itself fails at the table level (not tied to individual record changes). Is there any native way to monitor Google Drive sync health or detect sync failures via automations? Or do most teams handle this with a workaround like heartbeat/staleness checks or external monitoring? If this isn’t currently supported, I’d be happy to submit it as a feature request — just want to confirm best practices first. Thanks in advance for any guidance!
Hello, good afternoon.I’m reaching out urgently with this question because I still haven’t received a response from support. In one of our dashboards, we have uploaded files that we share with clients, but for the past 2 days all the file links have been returning an error when downloading. The message we get is directly:“Check if there is a typo in s3.dualstack.us-east-1.amazonaws.com.If it is spelled correctly, try running the Windows Network Diagnostics.DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN”Has this happened to anyone else?
Hi, I’m new to Airtable and looking to build a database that holds multiple certificates with obtained dates and expiry dates. Is it possible to set one table with all the types of certificates and then link another table with the employee details so that they all end up with a list of different certificates or will I have to enter a whole heap of individual records? I will be use Softr as the app. Thanks for any advice, I havent found a template that does the trick.
I have a main database that stores all the data for my company that is collected from various sources (team member input or customer input but all data is entered through forms) and I need help ideally preventing the input of duplicate records, or at the minimum flagging/alerting the person entering the data that a record already exists. To simplify - For my team member forms:Is there a way I can have a script or automation check existing records for matching ‘Project Name’, ‘Customer Name’, and/or ‘Customer Email’ and if any of these exist already, allow them to update/edit the record. Or, if it does not exist, they can create a new one. If there is no ability available to to stop/alert them while they are creating, can an automation be used to send an email after the form is submitted alerting them that it was a duplicate so they can go in a fix it?For the forms being filled out by the customer:Same as #2 above, creating an automation to send an email to a team member alerting them th
Airtable novice here. I hired a consultant to build an app to track assignments for my company (organized by client contracts). The consultant never really finished the job but the app is about 90% useful however, it’s populated with assignments from a closed contract. Is it possible for me to copy the structure of this app without copying all the inputs? The tables, views, automations and interfaces are good but I need to update the data to reflect the current contract (different pricing schedule, assignments, vendors, etc.)
I can’t see a way to do this so presume I am missing something. So here I need to see the average value of a call booked which is different than the avg cash collected per closed call. I want to see Total cash collected divided by total calls booked. How can I make this show on an interface?I think its a bit bonkers you can’t just do a simple sum on an interface with the figures of that interface. Am I missing something or is this actually not possible? Help much appreciated. Cheers
I’ve been trying to achieve a simple thing. I want to have Table 1 as database where i can store people information like Name, Personal ID, etc. And I want to import selected information from Table 1 to Table 2. It should autofill and whenever i add a new person into Table 1(the database) it should reflect in Table 2 as well. HOW do i achieve that. So far i’ve tried linked records but then i have to manually press on every single person to import their information. Please help an ignorant soul.Example:Table 1 has people personal IDs i want to fill in Table 2 based on these IDs automatically
I am developing a college course and want to have students build an airtable that curates all higher education programs for students with disabilities. Is that possible?
Hi everyone,I'm tracking daily ad performance data (Meta Ads) in Airtable and displaying it in an Interface. Each row represents one day for one ad set, containing raw metrics like Spend, Impressions, Clicks, and Conversions. The problem:I need to display metrics like CPM, CPC, and CTR for flexible date ranges (sometimes 2 days, sometimes 70 days, always varying). However, Airtable Interfaces only offer "Average" as an aggregation option, which gives mathematically incorrect results for these metrics. For example: The correct CPM for a period should be (Total Spend / Total Impressions) × 1000, not the average of daily CPMs.What I've tried:I can display "Sum" for Spend and "Sum" for Impressions separately, but there's no way to divide these two aggregated values within the Interface to get the correct CPM.My question:Is there any native Airtable workaround to calculate formulas based on aggregated/summarized values in an Interface? Or a way to pass the current Interface filter to a scrip
Hello everyone,I’m running a website that relies heavily on the Airtable API to manage and sync dynamic content such as product data, categories, and status updates. Recently, I’ve started facing inconsistent behavior when making API requests from my website to Airtable, and I’m struggling to identify the root cause. In some cases, API calls that previously worked without issue are now returning partial data, delayed responses, or unexpected empty fields, even though the records clearly exist in the base. Other times, the same endpoint works correctly on a manual test (using tools like Postman), but fails or behaves differently when called from the live website environment. This inconsistency makes it difficult to trust the data being displayed on the frontend.I’ve double-checked the API key permissions, base structure, field names, and rate limits, and everything appears to be configured correctly. No major schema changes were made before the issue started, which makes the behavior eve
Hi, I’m another newbie that’s too inexperienced with Airtable to find what I need in this forum. I have tried and tried to solve a problem I have but with no success so I wonder if anyone who knows Airtable well could help me please?I have managed to set up 1 master table and 3 other tables that have data related to the master table. All tables have a common record. I am trying to link the tables, as you would do for example in a relational database like Micrsoft Access, in order to create a view where for each line of data I choose/expand in the master table, the related data from the other 3 tables is also displayed. I just can’t get this to workI suppose the problem might be in the way I have tried to link the tables together? If anyone could spell out in very simple terms what I need to do to sort this out, I’d be very grateful. Thanks
The last discussion about this I found was from 2023 when it was initially implemented.I have a couple airtable embeds in Squarespace. They have been working fine for several months. All of a sudden today, every time the embed is viewed, I get the Cookie Popup. Every single time. Clicking X or accepting doesn’t make any difference.I’m not sure why this has started up after months. Has Airtable addressed the implementation? Can I either turn it off or at least once the popup has been answered make sure it doesn’t activate every single time the page opens?
Is there a way to wrap the text in a filed name?
