Hello everyone,I've been working with Page Designer to create invoices that sometimes span more than a single A4 page due to the length of item lists. In tools like Excel, I've been able to manually manage page breaks and ensure that content flows smoothly from one page to the next. I'm facing challenges achieving this in Airtable's Page Designer.The challenge:When I have a list of items in an invoice that's very long, I need the content to seamlessly flow over multiple A4 pages, maintaining the same design format. This is something I could do in Excel by manually adjusting the beginning balance on a new page, but I'm struggling to replicate that here.Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Heya everyone!So I noticed that on the Airtable update API endpoint they note about upserts:Airtable reserves the right to throttle upsert requests differently from the standard rate limit throttling policy.Intuitively, I’d assume that differently means that they’re more strict about it as they’d be doing comparisons on their end.Does anyone know whether upsert is throttled more aggressively than plain updates? I’d assume so but I thought I’d get it cleared up.Thanks!

Hello, I am new to Airtable and I am looking for a simple solution to this problem if possible. I am looking to be able to upload a PDF into Airtable (it would be 1 page). Once the PDF is uploaded, I would like to extract the title and put it in the name column next to the document in the same row automatically. I know there are software’s out there that can handle this type of thing like Parseur, but the documents might not all look exactly the same (or the titles might not always be in the same spot every time). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all, Is it possible to prevent the creation of record under certain condition during form submission?Like upon button click, there will be a check against the database for certain condition and throw back error message. 

I have an object that I output from another script using the Output.Set(key: value) method. The value that I’m passing is an array of json objects. It seems that there are a lot of objects to transform the object but I would prefer to just pass the object to my script to iterate over the object and use dot notation to get the values that I would like.  I don’t see anything that just lets me keep the object as is and pass it through input.config only transforms or operations like length? Is there no way to pass an array or object??

I want to create forms to get reviews from some products I sell and for that I have created a Table which consists of the following fields:Product (linked to the corresponding "Product" record in the "Products" Table)Q1Q2...QnI want to be able to send form links with the "Product" field prefilled (using its RECORD_ID), so that the reviewer can easily know which product he/she is reviewing. However, I don't want the reviewer to able to change that value in the form and select by mistake any other "Product" record. How can disable the possibility of changing a prefilled value in a form?I have tried using the option "Limit record selection only in view" to another view, but it is not working.

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me! I am creating an product database for internal purposes. I have created a Softr interface and I want to have a customer chat bot to can answer basic queries such as “Does this product have x feature?” “What is the price of this product” etc… I have managed to create everything with the help of Chat GPT (I can’t code!) but once issue remains, when I try to trigger a database search, it constantly returns with “I can’t find this product”. I have searched the console, it says it cannot access the database because authentication is required and returns an error 401 or 403. I have checked the token, the database ID all and everything is correct, so I am a bit at loss! I am the owner of the database. Hope someone can assist with this, thanks in advance for any advice!

I have a base that is largely used for planning.I have a lot of automations. Often one action sets off a chain of 4-5 automations.Because I use this base for planning, records get deleted often as part of my workflow (i.e. I change my mind).An unfortunate, unexpected irritation with this is that reasonably often, an action will set off an automation > I delete the record before the automation is finished (these are usually simple automations "if Record A Field A = x, update Record B field A" - most are not long and convoluted).And so, I have a significant and frequent number of "failed automation: record not found" emails and notifications.Is there any way to prevent this happening?

What is a good website  to parse data from a pdf into airtable. For example if I wanted to parse info from a rental application (contact info, lease info) into airtable what is the best website to do this

Hi,I created an email automation, successfully ran tests and they all worked. I even saw the test emails on my sent folder items. However, when I published by toggling the "on" bar, the automation emails were not sent. I even created an update record to verify that emails have been sent, I performed a test to confirm the triggers were correct. It worked! the email test was seen in my sent folder of my email box, the update record trigger for that one I tested worked but the mass email automation has not been sent. What am I doing wrong or perhaps how long does it take for the email automation runs to work successfully? 

Hello, I’m new to Airtable, (trying to help a friend build an efficient solution) and I’m looking for some advice. We have a form with a rather large multi-select field. Users must enter their name, date and select any number of options from the multiselect field. The information comes into the table in the way you would expect: But in order for it to work with my friend’s processes (and existing tables) they need a way to break the record up (ideally on form submission) into multiple records: I found a way to do it with automations. I created an automation for each Option to check to see if that option has been selected, and then create a new record. Unfortunately, this is time consuming and will not scale well. Can you recommend how to build an automation script (or other solution) that can automatically parse the multi-select field into multiple records, one for each selection? Thank you,

Howdy good people!Hoping someone can advise with a product code lookup scenario. Our team sells training subscriptions. New subscribers submit airtable forms to notify of catalog onboarding. Each subscription is tied to a certain product (9 product types currently). Product name auto-populates in a multi-select 'Product' field upon form submission in an 'Offline Subs' table. Each product has a set unique code stored in another table (Product Codes). We need to auto lookup and match the product name with corresponding product code and auto populate this in a 'product code' field in the 'Offline Subs' table (see attached). Playing around with lookup fields and can't see an automation option, imagining that this will require a script to achieve?I don't have any coding/scripting experience so hoping someone can share a similar successful script or use case experience. Any assistance greatly appreciated. 🙂

It is possible to use a wireless barcode scanner attached to an iPad to enter data into an Airtable. I need to do an inventory of over 17,000 items and want to scan the barcode of each item into a table. It would be much faster if I could just scan the item - record is created - and it advances to create the next record. Much like you can do with a scanner an Excel. I know I could just use Excel and then import it into a table in my base but I was just curious. Using the camera to scan each barcode would not be and option due to time. Thanks Brian

Good DayI have generated a base and from that base a form. Once submitted the form automatically adds the information to the base. When the new record is generated in the base I want to send an email to the person submitting the form. There is a field in the form where the person adds there ID I used that field in the To part of the automation and I am getting an error.  The below is the layout of my  automation In the Body of the text is a member number that is automatically generated when the form is submitted.When Generating a Preview I get an Error Message  I have checked the field of the new record and the email address is displayed.. I dont know how to resolve this. Many thanks

Hello,I have a base and I want to create forms that allow some to suggest new entries into the base. Once the suggestion comes through I would approve it then merge it into the base. However I need to know who that person is and limit access to the form to okta users. Whats the best way to go about doing this?

I have a Master Inventory of all line items for a project. We then create Material Requests where we collate a number of these line items (maybe a few hundred) per vessel sailing. I need a way of effectively viewing the Inventory and selecting a checkbox or similar, then allocating these items to that Material Request. This creates a new record for that item. I can go into my material request currently and select individual items that are added, but cannot find a method of bulk selection and allocation.   

Feeling a little stupid because I can’t figure out how to do this. It is a simple task on a spreadsheet, but I have failed in all my attempts to get it to work. I am managing a construction project and I have creating 2 tables, One for electrical costs and another for Sprinklers Cost. I then created a third table, which I call it Dashboard. The intention with that table is to show the sums of all costs from the other tables. For example, on the sprinklers table, I have a column (Quote) with all the costs I have incurred so far. I did the same thing on the Electrical table. On the Dashboard table I have created a record for Sprinklers and another for Electrical, and for each record I need to show the sum of the costs for the tables Electrical and Sprinklers As per the images attached, I want to be able to show the value of $14,300 (sum of all costs on the column “Quote” of the Electrical table) on the record of Electrical #200, at column “Total Paid so far” on the Dashboard Table. I have a very simple automation that runs every 15 mins. It finds rows from a table that have data in a specific column and then uses a repeating group to send a slack message to each of the channels listed in those rows it found. This typically works 90% of the time but usually a handful of times a day it errors out for Slack API rate limited. Sometimes it errors out with 4 groups that it found but will also error out with 1 group. Experiencing similar issues related to the repeating groups for slack messages.  Any help is appreciated.  

Hi there, I am looking at creating a line graph in the interface. Is there a way to show multiple teams as the lines?  What I am hoping for is X axis to have the months and the Y axis to have the number and each month to populate the number is this possible?  Thank you

Hi everyone! Our library uses an Airtable base for approving programs, some of which are one-time and others are repeating. We’re running into a problem where we’re sometimes overbooking on a single day (this is across multiple branches, so we have the room, but we try not to host too many programs on one day) and we’d really like to see all our programs on a calendar view. The problem is with the recurring programs. Right now, the base is set up with a text field where programmers put in their dates (e.g. “every third Wednesday from 11-12”) but obviously Airtable can’t read that. We could set up individual date fields for each occurrence, but some of these programs are staples, held dozens of times a year and would necessitate dozens of date fields. As a work around, I tried making a separate “Calendar” table with the dates as primary fields, and then in the main table, the date field became a linked record field. In Calendar, I created a calendar view and that technically works, but

Hi AllI have a Base A with Table 1 and Table 2. One of the fields in Table 1 is a linked record field to Table 2.I also have Base B with Table 1 synced to this base.Rather than showing a linked record from Table 2 in the field in Base B Table 1, a text field with the entry in the primary field for Table 2 appears - is this expected behaviour? If so, how should the setup be structured to show the linked record? If I have a Table 3 in Base B that has a linked record field to Base B Table 1 and I want it to have a lookup field to the linked record field already in Base B Table 1, is that achievable?Thank you.
