Hello! We use AirTable for our school roster. Usually, we use dedupe to merge multiple (usually 8-10) classes that each student is in, so that everything stays in just one record. Today I’ve encountered an error where AirTable thinks that two separate students need to be merged instead of each student with their classes. There are 2 records to be merged but AirTable is only showing “one record to be merged”. I am not sure why AirTable thinks these two students are the same record and cannot see that they both have at least 8 records each.I have encountered this before and have just refreshed the page. However, this does not seem to work. I do not see any error messages.

Hello, I apologize in advance, airtable is very new to me. I am coming from an MS Access world so trying to figure out the best approach to our setup.We currently have a spreadsheet with 10+ tabs.  Basic information (Contact) on one tab then the other 10 tabs relate to this contact tab.  Various relationships from Investment returns for various years and fees to budgeting.My thought is to create a base.  A table for the Contact information.  Then a table for each of the other (tabs).  I know I can link them using the link feature.But I’m thinking forward to any reporting or interfaces that I build.  To be able to report on the contact info from one table, the investment return from another and the budget from another how is this done?I’m used to using a primary key and joins in access to link these together.  In airtable do I have to link every table to each other and then create a table pulling various links in?  Seems like a crazy amount of work

Hi I’m having trouble figuring out how to properly set up a kanban.This is for contractor scheduling. I have the kaban connected to a table source called Repair Jobs. It’s then stacking fields by Assigned Contractor, with some visible fields, coloured and sorted by status. The purpose is to have an “empty” column where jobs can be dragged to contractor columns, and assigned to those contractors. I want to be able to have a drop down select for different days of the week, or a date picker. That way the admin can select “Monday”, see all the unassigned jobs, and fill up a contractors current day. In 80% of situations they would be looking at it in the context of “today”, but would also want to move forward in time to check future days. The problem with this one, is that if I use the drop down filters for “Mo

Hi All,I want to create a tennis league and publish it on my webstite which I created in Webflow. The database is to be dynamic, information will be added using a airtable form. There will be 16 players in the league and they will play each others. The goal is to get the current league table and ranking. On the page I want to display the results of all the players' matches (example - 6:2 3:6 7:5), the current position and the amount of points collected so far. I have a form for my team that includes an attachment field for images. Every so often, someone uploads an unnecessarily large image and it triggers out-of-memory errors in my Pipedream workflows that run when the form is submitted.It would be wonderful if I could add limits to how big attachments can be. I see that this has been requested before and I’m assuming it’s still not possible, but if anyone has suggestions for how to deal with this issue, please let me know!

I am writing documentation for a Base to help users who are new to Airtable and the app to use it. I would like to put a table of Icons and their field types in this document so that they can reference it to see what data type goes in it. Many of the people who are going to use this are retired and have no previous experience in this area. They will not think to pass the mouse over the icon to see what type of field it is or they will forget that they can do that.I have searched and have not come up with any sites that have the icons. The primary purpose of this portal is to have a common place for my customers to enter information that will be used in the video projects we build for them, so my customers must be able to login with a user (client) account. When onboarding a customer I need to create 3 records:The athlete record, which operates like the “company” record in a CRM The User account record which is a user in the softr platform The project record which is where the customer work will get done. Hello AT community,I am seeking advice, general or specific, on achieving frictionless label printing for employees using our base.Our current setup is fully functional, but the process is clunky for users. We have Dymo LabelWriter 4XL's set up at various stations, and we have labels designed in Page Designer. Our receiving station, for example, has a Receiving Interface, and labels need to be created for everything we receive.To print a label, the user has to click a button in the grid element of the interface for the line just received, which redirects them to the record in the underlying base (already a bad situation), then click a button that takes them to page designer, then click 'print' 3 or 4 times to get a label to come out.My background is in warehouse distribution, where our purpose-built warehouse management software would simply print a label as soon as something is received, that is the level of functionality we want to mimic, or come close

I’ve been exploring ways to connect Airtable with analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Looker for better campaign insights. Since much of my work involves managing projects in “digital marketing in Jalandhar,” having all performance data centralized in Airtable could enhance reporting and decision-making. Is it possible to export a list of record comments from a base? I need to be able to summarize and track comments without reviewing each record.

Hi! I’m building an internal interface for my team to manage tasks. While I love the clean look of Interfaces, it’s frustrating that we can’t manually reorder records (drag-and-drop) within a list or table.In the base view, we can reorder records manually, but in Interfaces we’re stuck with sorting rules or creation order, and new records always go to the bottom.For teams using Interfaces to manage workflows (without exposing the full base), this feature would be incredibly helpful.Are there any plans to enable manual ordering or drag-and-drop within Interfaces in the near future?Thanks!

I am trying to figure out how to build a workflow that would allow multiple user to approve a creative asset before status changes to approved.Right now I'm using a user column to assign an approver.  Then the record viewer interface to approve using a button tied to a status change automation. Ideally I would like to be able to assign multiple approvers and somehow only use the automation, once ALL approvers have approved. Thank you in advance

I have a number of automations that have been working for years that suddenly stopped finding records as of the first time they ran in July. They were supposed to be looking for records in a related view, but were listing Condition Filters that had nothing to do with that view.I tried changing them to use Conditions instead of a View, and there were condition filters defined, apparently from copying another automation and then modifying it. They have been this was as far as I know from the beginning, but worked based on the View filters until July.I have cleared out the unused condition filters and am waiting for the first run in August to verify it is fixed. Just wanted to figure out why they used to work and quit without changes on my part.

For example, I just added 75 new [Tasks] for a marketing campaign and needed to link all of them to the one [Campaign] record.My current process involves either manually clicking the '+' and finding the record 75 times, or setting up a fairly clunky workaround with automations that feels like overkill. Good afternoon,I'm trying to use Airtable automations to send an email to folks through my Gmail account. Airtable is directly connected to my Gmail account. The emails send successfully, but the problem is that when the email shows up in the recipients' inboxes, the sender name is just my first name in all lower case (e.g., "matt"), but I'm sending it on behalf of an organization. This is unprofessional and isn't what I'm trying to communicate to my recipients. So my question is:How can I change the "Sender" on these emails when using Airtable Automations to send emails through my Gmail account?I already confirmed my Gmail settings, my Google account settings, etc. Honestly, it looks like it's just pulling the info from my email address (e.g., "matt" from "matt@company.com").Surely there's a way around this???TIA,ML  

Hello,I would like to update the data in an Airtable table from an Excel spreadsheet.This is a “Customers” table (approximately 1,500 records) which includes a ‘Department’ column. The data for these “Departments” for each customer has changed, and the new values are in an Excel file.I would like to be able to replace the value in the “Department” field for each “Customer” with the corresponding value in the Excel file.If anyone has any ideas on how to do this...Thank you

Hi Airtable Community,I’m trying to use the prefill feature in Airtable for a form, but I’m running into an issue. I want to prefill a field that is a record selector, but the selector has a filter applied. When the filter is active, the prefill doesn’t seem to work as expected.Has anyone found a way to prefill a filtered record selector in a form, or any workarounds for this limitation?
