Make sure you're seated for this one! &#x1f605The nonprofit wants to see grant funds contributing to individual budget line items broken down by month.Say they have a grant from the Gates Foundation for $120,000 that must be used between Jan 1, 2023 and Dec 31, 2023. $80,000 of the grant is designated for Staff Member A's salary. $40,000 is designated for Staff Member B's salary. They have a second grant from the Scott Foundation for $6,000 that must be used between March 1, 2023 and May 31, 2023.The Executive Director wants to see how these grants break out over the months that they are active. For example, that in January, $6,666.67 ($80,000/12 month grant duration) from the Gates grant is applied to Staff Member A's salary. But in March 2023, when the Scott Foundation grant becomes active, $1,000 from the Scott grant and $6,666.67 from the Gates grant are applied to Staff Member A's salary for a total of $7,666.67

Hi,Loving the new interface designer, and itchy to update current interfaces to take advantage...but for some reason most of the existing interfaces seem to be stuck in the old designer - none of the new features (like easy user filtering, mini tabs or view toggle features) are available.Am I doing something wrong or will it just take some time to roll out to existing interfaces?

Hi, I'm building a simple CRM for a dog walker who offers walks in 10-packs. I'm getting confused with how to track these 10-packs.My first thought was to create a Walks table with 10 columns (Walk1, Walk2, ..., Walk10) and the date of each walk would be populated as it happens and there would be a formula field to count how many of those columns had been populated so we know how many walks have been completed. But the dog walker herself is not very techy, and to avoid her having to go into the base, I'd like if she could use a form to simply select the dog's name and write in the date of the walk. I have an Owners table and a Dogs table, and I know how to create a form where she can select which dog it is from a drop-down, but I'm getting stuck with where/how the walk dates should be stored. I appreciate any tips, thanks in advance!

Hi everyone I have created an automation which sends an email of a list of records from my table at a scheduled time. However there is too many records being shown and would like to change the amount. The number of length is by default at 100 and does not let me edit this number. Can you help me please?

I work in a digital archive and I'm using Concatenate to create a unique naming formula based on certain fields in a spreadsheet. However, some items have different naming requirements. What I would like to do is be able to tell this formula to skip over any empty fields and only pull the ones with data in them for the naming. I would additionally like a way to tie the dash "-" to the numbers so that only the correct number of dashes appear for however many fields there are in the name. Here is the formula I am currently using. CONCATENATE({Collection ID}, "-" , RIGHT("00"&{Box No.},2), "-", RIGHT("00"&{Folder No.},2), "-" , RIGHT("0000"&{Item No.},4))This will produce a name like "collectionID-box-folder-item". Ideally I would like it to be able to produce names like "collectionID-box-item" or "collectionID-folder-item".Apologies if this is a bit unclear, I am not very familiar with this kind of work.

Hello,I have this simple problem with filtering by date. When I try to filter Date - is within - past year I also got records from this year.Also If I try to filter Date - is within - past month I got only some of the records from the previous month.What am I missing here, please?

Hello,I have a table with fields like this : The "First char" field is a formula that return the first character UPPER of the "First name" field.  Then, the field "check" is used to filter a view from A to E. So i need a formula that show "OK" if the "First char" field contain A or B or C,,,,,,,,,E or else it will show "KO"Any ideas how to do it ? Thanks.

Hi Airtable Wizards, I have the following formula which is formatted in currency and occasionally returns a -$0.00 result, where to my untrained eye, I cannot see why.  {PM: TOTAL BANK ALL EFTPOS}-{PM: TOTAL EFTPOS SALES}"PM: TOTAL BANK ALL EFTPOS" and "PM: TOTAL EFTPOS SALES" are computed fields that simply tally up totals from other columns. When both of the above columns match, it should return $0.00, which for some outputs it does, and others it computes as a negative.  Just wondering if anyone can figure out why?

I'm struggling to create the right formula and hoping someone here can help me: I have Field 1 as a single select. It's a list of brands with an "Other" option. Field 2 is a write-in field for when Other has been selected. I'm trying to create Field 3 as a formula field that merges the brand names—both the ones selected in Field 1 drop-down and ones written into Field 2. I have the second half working with ... IF(Field 1 = "Other", {Field 2}) But I can't figure out how to get the first part merged in. Whenever I try to add to the formula to make it add in the non-other names, I get an error. I tried a second IF formula, like ... IF(Field 1 != "Other", {Field 1}) But it doesn't work, and I've tried adding CONCATENATE, but I can't get that to work either. I'm not very proficient with formulas, so hoping someone here can help me get what I'm attempting. Thanks!

I have this table to track some gym progress.I have a number of updated values for each record, e.g.:for a 1 set of 10 for 245 for b 2 set of 8 for 356and etc.there is also column for tracking the latest update.I need to be able to somehow store the progress/history of this values. So what if i update smth like this:for a 1 set of 10 for 245 => for a 2 sets of 9 for 250i could have bouth record in my baseI'm aware about the Revision history function, although it's not providing acces to the information in the most comfortable wayIs there a way, through some formula/automation/etc. to copy the current record each time i'm updating it? 

TL;DR: what's the difference between 'contains' and 'has any of'?I'm setting up some automations with a 'when a record matches conditions' trigger.When I set my 'find records' trigger to the condition 'has any of' the dynamic value I want to use, I get 'invalid value: when a record matches conditions cannot be converted to an array of string'.When I set the condition to 'contains', it works perfectly.What is the difference between 'has any of' and 'contains'? In natural language the two are synonymous (to my sense of the language, anyway), but I assume there's some important distinction in the underlying code that I don't understand.

Hi everyone,Background:I'm in the process of creating a base which is to be used by our company and an external company to share information and update the status of job packs for solar installations.ScenarioI have a single select field called "Job Pack Review Status" which contains the properties "Awaiting Review", "NMI" and "Approved". I want to keep track of the time when the external company changes the status to either "NMI" or "Approved" by logging a time stamp. However, there are scenarios where if the job pack may be rejected (NMI) and then resubmitted after being updated. In this instance the status would change back to Awaiting review before the external company makes an update. In this scenario I'd like to keep a second timestamp when the property is updated for the second time.  QuestionIs it possible to log multiple time-stamps in separate columns based on the status of a single select field changing multiple times, or should we be splitting this into a separate

How a collaborator can view only their records

I am trying to set up a database of past video shoots, including who worked on them and what position they worked as. I have a table of people, a table of positions (director, cinematographer, producer, audio, makeup, etc), and a table of projects. The issue I'm running into is that our team often juggles positions, so John may be the director one day, and producer the next. Sue may be doing makeup, and then audio another day. (I admit it's chaotic and we're working to nail down positions... Part of why I specified that this is a database of past video shoots!)So, simply linking the people and projects tables doesn't work, because that doesn't say what position each person worked as. I could add individual fields to the projects table for each position and select the director, the producer, the audio tech, etc, but that seems clunky and would make it hard to simply view a list of who was on the shoot.The solution I've found is to create another table that simply links co

Hello, looking for help on how to trigger the update of formula field when a record reaches a condition. My example is the following: I have a "Birth Date" field which contains the birthdate as Date. I have a formula field which calculates the current year "Anniversary Date": DATETIME_PARSE(YEAR(NOW())&"-"&DATETIME_FORMAT({Birth Date},'MM-DD')).How can I trigger the update of this "Anniversary Date" when the record reaches the day after the anniversary? 

I have tried multiple way, know I am missing something, but can't work out what. I have one column for Date and the next column is yes. Meaning that consent has been given and on the date in the column. I now need a formula field that will return the word 'valid' if the consent date is less than 365 days from today, and 'not valid' if the consent date is more than 365 days from today. Hope I have explained that well. I have so many good ideas, and I truly do try to work them out before I come here 🙂 Thanks in advance!

Hello amazing people! I am working on my film workspaces and trying to build a table to use for a Page Designer for a Call Sheet. I have several tabs I need to pull details from, all based on the Date Field. This Scenes tab is one of the places to pull from, and it has a Filming Date field.I am pulling IN to this Call Sheet tabWhat I need is if the Date on a record in the Scenes tab matches the Date in this Call Sheets record, I want the records to link. I will be using a number of associated lookup fields from the containing records.I assume I will need to use a Formula? I have trouble wrapping my head around those for some reason 😖 I've tried various other options and none will allow me to just say "If this date matches that date please link" and I can't restrict to a view because I would need to change that parameter for every new call sheet.I hope this makes sense! If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it!

Is it possible for the submit button on a form to not be visible until all of the conditional fields are satisfied? 

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is possible or if I'm approaching correctly the solution, but here it goes: I'd like to create some sort of dynamic filter that when I input a date, everything else in this table will update accordingly. The link records that won't meet the filter criteria will be excluded, therefore, updating the COUNT calculation and all related formulas. To give you more context about the base setup, there are two tables: TicketsSuppliersWhat you see in the screenshot above is the Suppliers table, which is aggregating all the tickets. Is there a way to exclude linked records based on a filter?Thanks everyone!

Basically we have two workspaces. One is for project management. The other is for accounting. Once the project has been completed, we change it's status to "ready for accounting" which then automatically syncs with the accounting workspace. So no new records are being created in the accounting workspace.We then generate a "price code" based on the company name and the product. The price code reference a price list which is a different table in the accounting workspace. I have nearly all the mechanics of this worked out, but currently have to manually copy/paste from "price code" column to "price" column (see screenshots). I'd like to automate this, but I've had trouble with the tutorials I've seen, and I also don't know what an appropriate trigger would be.Thanks in advance for any help!
