Hey All, I really appreciate the help. I have a table tracking operations data by day. The shop loads the data each day via a form and I track on a dashboard showing production over the last 30 days. Each day the report rolls forward 1 day. It’s a great simple view of our world. I’m trying to show month over month numbers on the same dashboard. In my mind I need to pull the production from the day’s record from 28 days prior to every record in the table so the dashboard can sum the data from the [28 days ago] field. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to pull this data into each record in the same table. It needs to happen automatically. Optionally, if there’s a way to setup the dashboard to pull a different filtered set of data on a single element unaffected by the page filter, that might work too. Thanks for the help.

I manage an organization which hosts various events and we'd like to use Airtable to track RSVPs and attendance at these vents.  Some of our events are open to the local community while others are for members only.  I have created an Events table which includes a checkbox to indicate which events are open to the community.Now I'd like to create a form for RSVPs that conditionally shows a field for respondents to indicate the number of guests a person is bringing (think +1s) ONLY when the event chosen in the form is open to the public?Does anyone know a way to make this work???  Thanks so much!

Hello, hope someone could help me.So we have this "Status" field.The specific status was "active search"How can I set automation to count how many times that status was moved to active search?Currently, I have this automation set up: The main goal here is that:When the record was moved to Active Search Status for the second time, the field Count moved to AS should be 2.When the record was moved to Active Search Status for the third time, the field Count moved to AS should be 3.Are there any changes that I need to set up with my current automation? because currently, it would only work when the status was moved for the first time.Thank you.

Hi All, I've been building out a base on Airtable and am running into some issues with the linking. I've linked two tables together. I'll try to explain here what I'm experiencing. Table 1: Action Items and Column 1: Item Name; Column 2: Pillar OwnerTable 2: ProjectsI've linked my Action Items table to my Projects table. I brought in both the action item name and the pillar owner name into the projects table via the Action Items table. I then decided I didn't want these tables linked in this way. I removed the Item Name and Pillar Owner columns from the Projects table. I think found a more appropriate way to link the tables, so I re-linked the Action Items table to the Projects table, but brought in different columns. Now, via my dropdowns (specifically when I'm attempting to create a Lookup column - this doesn't happen when I'm attempting to Link to another record), I have two Action Items tables appearing" Action Items and Action Items 2. Hello All, Essentially, is there a way to set the column widths in a view other than clicking and dragging each separate one? I have to change the width of something like 10 fields across 50 views, and I’d rather not have to click and drag 500 fields individually. Especially since they all should be a standard width. I’ve looked around online and haven’t found anything - but if you know of a solution, you’d save me a lot of time. Thanks!

Hello!Is there a way to make entries quickly with voice recognition?I created a table where I can enter game statistics for my son's high school lacrosse team.  It works pretty well but the data entry is fast and furious.My data table has Statistic, Player, Period (autofilled thanks to a suggestion from @Jan_Cape ), and time of possession (working on this one but it's a time of possession for each team each quarter). I tried to keep up with the plays but it was too quick.  Is it possible to use dictation to make the entries quickly by voice into a mobile phone?Something like, "new record, ground ball, player 6, submit"?If that's not possible, I'm thinking entries without having to scroll, perhaps touch screen on an iPad?  With "share form" I realized that I can email the form for the upcoming quarter to the other stats parents so we can divide and conquer.  I just need a better data entry method to be able to keep up with the action.Thank you for any

New here!Is it possible to set a different formula in each row of a column? For example, I am looking to set a due date in one of our rows (which is one of our tasks) to automatically calculate a date 2 months before a start date of a program. The second row, is another task and has another due date (7 days before the start date). The start date is the same for both. Is this possible? Thanks!

I have a base with 2 tables - Teams and Projects (as shown below). Every 3 months the leader changes. Now if I update the leader name in Teams table, it updates the leader names in the previous records too in the Project table (because of Lookup). How can I prevent updating the lookup values in the previous records?Please try to provide a detail solution.

I know that, according to this support article that "Multiple records can [only] be selected one at a time from the list of linked records (there isn't a way to link multiple records at one time).I have a base with records for items to photograph. Each of those records has a Checkbox field for marking whether the item has been photographed or not. So each record has that field checked off or not.My end goal is to see what percent of items have been photographed.Because I can only create formulas by "row" and not by "column," I understand that I need to create a second table to start tabulating photographed and not photographed. Hello, I'm just learning so I apologize for the ignorance.I'm trying to collect game statistics for my son's hs lacrosse team.I have a data table with fields of Statistics (like shots made, shots missed, etc.) and Player.I have a form that lets me enter statistic (e.g. forced a turnover), Player (6 Jimmy) and submit.From that, I have a pivot table that collects the stats for each player.I want to make a field for Quarter that doesn't have to be entered each time I create a new record.  I tried creating a table with game information and doing a lookup but I don't think that works.Is there a way to have a record keep the Quarter the same until I have it changed at the end of each quarter?  The goal is to be able to have a summary of stats for each quarter and the overall game.Thank you!Mike

HelloI am putting together an automation which will email our staff their rota, I would like to do this from a view in the base, rather than an interface as I am yet to find interfaces particularly usefulI don't see any way to do this - unless I do something funky like call a webhook from a script on a button in the view. hello, is it possible to create a correlation or correspondence system between 2 tables and many criteria such as a table where users record about ten criteria and when the second table finds as many criteria corresponding to the first table this would create an action? I hope I was clear enough. it's a bit like a search system for a person who wants to buy a vehicle and enters their criteria into the website so that they are offered corresponding vehicles.

I have an automation which, when a new record is created (a new student joins the school), finds the linked record in another table (Zapier-connected table with info the student fills out in Calendly) and updates the new record (the permanent student info) with information from the Zapier table. The automation then goes on to find a linked record in yet another table (the teacher assigned to the new student), and sends an email to an address found there. See screenshot.When I test the automation everything goes smoothly, both if I test each step individually and when I test the automation as a whole. In live runs, though, the emailing step always fails because "the to input is empty".It seems like the automation just doesn't find a linked record in the teachers table. Again, it finds a record no problem in tests: it's only in live runs that it doesn't find a linked record.This seems like a similar problem to this one, but I can't figure out how to work around it or make it work.Any ide

Hello everyone,I'm fairly new to Airtable and I've been impressed with the level of questions the community has solved.  This is the first time I'm posting a question with the hope someone can help me.  Here is my situation:In Table A, I have 3 single-select fields called Trade Choice 1, Trade Choice 2 and Trade Choice 3. Each record (applicant) has a Province of Residence.  I have a lookup field to Table B that lists each trade with the specific provinces where the trade is a Red Seal trade in a multiple-select field called Red Seal Province.I want to add a verification step to confirm when the choices of jobs are entered that they are a Red Seal Trade in the province of residence of the applicant. I would ultimately use condition colour to highlight any choices where the trades don't exist as a Red Seal in the province of residence.How do I write an IF formula that would say:  IF(Red Seal Provinces from Trade Choice 1, Trade Choice 2 

Hi all, First time poster so forgive me if I’m posting this incorrectly. I’m trying to create an automation where by an email is sent at creation of a new record (through a form). That task seems simple enough, but I’m struggling to connect a separate tab into the flow. The desired flow is as follows: User submits a completed form which includes a division field (ie, business group) There’s a lookup to a separate tab which pulls that division contact(s) into the view automatically Automation then sends email notifying the division contact of the new record for their review. Problem is, I can’t get the lookup reference to the division contact to pass the automation test. It continues to say that I’m not referencing a valid email address, which is true, as the lookup is not returning a value but a string. Any help is appreciated. Glad to answer follow up questions.

Hi - this seems simple but when I tried it I just got into a loop generating records 🙂When I create a new record, and fill in one field (a lookup) and this record also has an autonumber field (say 1) could Airtable automatically duplicate the record twice (so you would have 3 records auto - numbered 1,  2 and 3) with the same lookup selected?I guess this could need a button / script not an automation but I'm a bit new to itThanks much appreciatedJim

I have a base with three tables, Clients, Cases, and Case Approval. So far I have it set up so that as soon as a case in the "Cases" table has it's status changed to "Pending Approval" it will create a record in the "Case Approval" table. At this point I was hoping I could send an automated email to the client with the Airtable Record URL so they could open it and approve or reject the design. 1. Is this the best way to automate approvals? 2. Is there a way to accomplish approvals without the client needing an Airtable account?

Hi everyone, I’m hoping I can explain well where I am stuck. What I am trying to achieve (in short) is that any time a form is submitted sync a certain (calculated) field from form1/table1 to a corresponding field in table2 only if the email adress entered in the form and an email adress in table2 match (both primary fields) In more detail: I have created a seld grading quiz using this instruction: Self-grading quizzes with Airtable - DEV Community What I am trying to accomplish is basically that the grade, that is a calculated field in table2, is synced to table2 which is our user database. The form requires the user to enter an email adress. If this email adress matches an email adress of table2 (pimary field), then the field with the score should be synced with a corresponding field associated to this record. I hope I was using the correct terminology. I have tried using automations but I haven’t figured it out yet. I am very grateful for any help!

We take bookings online for a fortnightly gardening session, and the attendees' details are then added/ updated in an Airtable list.Before each fortnightly session, we currently manually send the list of who is signed up to the session leader which feels inefficient! I have setup the Airtable/ bookings so that the dates people signed-up to auto-populate, currently as a list since they may sign-up to multiple dates, eg "03-05-2023, 17-05-2023," etc. I'd love to find an automation which searches for today's date in this field and sends an email to the leader with the sign-up people but I can't see a way to do this. There is an automation option to Send an email when the date field matches 'Actual trigger time' but not sure how this is formatted/ if it would work. Hope this makes sense and would welcome any suggestions!thanks
