I have 3 tables - meals, dishes and ingredients.use case: Users should be able to add new dishes and meals through a form. A meal is a combination of 1 or more dishes. Each dish comprises of many ingredients (note ingredients is a separate table)So in a form submission, the user should be able to do two things:1. Add a new dish including its ingredients (note ingredients is a separate table so should be stored appropriately)2. Hey there, I'm trying to gain access to the Download Attachment URL (without using the API) so I can upload images from the Attachment of a record to a social media platform. I've tried using a workflow of AirTable --> Zapier --> Social Media Platform, but I can't find a way to get the image in my AirTable's attachment field to the social media platform. Let me know if you know how to help! PS -- The reason I don't want to use the API is that I saw AirTable's recent notice that they are disabling API access at the end of this year. 

In a long text field is there a way to create a global entry text for some headings so that whenever I want to enter new content i don't have to enter the headings as well?  For example, the headings I use are:VOA ITZAVOA Total sqftML ITZAML Total sqftLA ITZATA ITZA

This is my first post to the Airtable community.  I have searched through lots of posts about linking records and tables, but I can't seem to find an answer to this...I have two imported tables that have a StudentID field in each.  When I edit the StudentID field in one Table to change the field type to "link to another record", Airtable deletes all the StudentIDs in the table I am working in.  I am attempting to create a linkage between these tables because I want to know if a student in Table 1 is also in Table 2 (and the student may be in Table 2 multiple times, however I just want to know if the student is in the table...I don't care how many times).   Can someone help me figure out what I am missing?  Many thanks, in advance, for your assistance with this issue!My apologies if this problem has already been solved elsewhere, I just couldn't find it.

Hello All,I have a general question for the community.How are you all managing code updates and version control for your custom scripts?It seems very easy to overwrite custom automation scripts.Does Airtable have a way to view/restore a previous version?I am currently storing some of my automations scripts in GitHub Gists but I don't have a great workflow for keeping everything up to date.What processes have worked for you?Thanks!Matt

Is anyone else frustrated with Airtable's lack of full base download and limited storage space for a respective paid tier?Major issues that need to be corrected:I upgraded from Free to Plus but got no warning that this tier would still leave me with storage over limit.No way to directly reach sales to switch from Plus to Pro tier for first year promo offer that I saw before upgrading.No way to do a full base download.No way to download actual attachments as part of a CSV export.No way to get a quick overview of attachments by file size to find the top resource hogs and delete them.I get that any service wants to lock you into their service and features but this feels overly manipulative.  Anyone have any luck with getting any sort of timely response from their sales and/or support?

Hey guys, Is 2GB files the most I can upload, or that’s just the maximum amount of files that can be stored in one base? If I delete that record/file, will I free my space, or that’s just the maximum I can upload, no matter if I delete files or not. Thanks

I guess this related to an integration, but it's not an integration-specific question. We have records that typically accompany a unique number. Sometimes, we will have a record that doesn't have a number. To identify them as records where we've thoughtfully considered them to be records associated with no number, we want to use 0000 as the default, where a single 0 might mean we just forgot to enter the appropriate number. I'm using a Number field currently -- and I think the field needs to be a number field for the integration. Is there a way to get a Number field to display 0000 instead of 0? 

Hi everyone, I’m a big fan of Airtable, but its lack of a spelling/grammar checker is causing me some grief. Grammarly (Chrome extension) would seem to be the perfect answer. However, it doesn’t work. At all. This is weird because it works well on other sites with text input fields - including, incidentally this community site (I can see Grammarly flagging errors in this as I type :slightly_smiling_face: ). Does anyone know a way of getting Grammarly to work on Airtable Grid view fields or indeed another solution? Thanks!

Hi, I would like to add a pop-up for one of my automations. It's triggered by button. Automation creates a record based on input from different table. I'd like to be able to have a communicate lik "created successfully" or "creation failed". Is there a way to do it?

I'm creating a new extension that will automatically update records in a table based on data returned from a server API endpoint that I control.This API computes a lot of data and will take longer than 30 seconds to respond, so this can't be a normal synchronous API call.What is the best strategy for doing this in my extension? I can think of three possible ways -* Can extensions listen for webhooks, where I call an API and get a webhook back some minutes later?* Or maybe the server writes directly to the table when the data is ready - can an extension facilitate this automatically?* Alternatively, can I have my extension automatically & continuously (without user interaction) poll an endpoint every hour for new data and update the table?Thanks for your ideas!

I am trying to use this to automatically add 15 or 5 days to the contract date. The “calculation” field is an IF statement to calculate which amount of days to add. BUT I cannot figure out how to get the formula to add the days and give me a new date.

I’ve noticed my (custom) apps are taking much longer to load lately, coinciding with a steady increase in records. The apps load records from filtered views, which don’t necessarily have a ton of records in them at a time. Would the amount of records in the whole base affect the speed of the apps, even if the apps in question aren’t loading all of the records in? Thanks!

I would like to know when a repeating group in Automations is finished. I try to use a number field and update it incrementally but the formula does not seem to work in Automation. Is there any other way?

I am working in Postman. The field in question is "Taxes Owed - PDF". I get the error shown below. If I change the field type to single-line text I don't get an error. I don't want to change the field type. hi all, i have a parent table that is copying data to a child table on a condition. I've written the script and I can handle all the data types except I'm having trouble with the linked field. I have a User table linked to both tables. I keep getting this error: id has incorrect objectId prefix "sel", expecting one of ["rec"]the linked field I'm copying returns this object:{id: "seleCE7wF1kaofYBd", name: "Lucas", color: "cyanLight2"}but the actual record id of "Lucas" on the user table returns "rec6TmmKCTEiSp3BA".How can I fix this? 

Fetch request is built like this, including these headers: But it returns a CORS error — the webhook isn’t returning Access Control Allow Headers… Oddly enough I can get it to work from Postman: And if I follow the proxy outlined here it works as well. Is there a way to make the webhook return that header? Or another solution? Thanks!

I just realised this simple formula, on most fields does not work . Test was done on a Single-Line field. IF(test1 != BLANK(), "Not Blank", "Blank") This will always return "Not Blank".  A workaround seems to be to do the below: IF(Not(test1 = BLANK()), "Not Blank", "Blank") Any idea why this is so? Or is there a simpler work to check for 'Not Blank/Empty'?

Hello all ! (It’s my first post in this forum, if i’m not following guidelines please feel free to tell me !) I quite new in the Airtable world. I’m currentlty trying to create a script (with the script app powered by Airtable) in order to fetch data from my (test) shopify store. But here is my point : → Airtable do not allow to use the class authentication used by Shopify, which is : GET https://{username}:{password}@{shop}.myshopify.com/admin/api/2021-01/shop.json → So i need to use Basic Auth as it’s explained in theire documentation. But it’s not working, and i get this error message : “[API] Invalid API key or access token (unrecognized login or wrong password)”. Did someone ever face this issue and know how to solve it ?(I’m sur about my credentials, and i also delete and recreate my app in order to prevent this mistake).
