I’m an executive assistant who manages a “phone sheet” for an individual in the entertainment industry for someone who “rolls calls.” For those not familiar, essentially I call on the behalf of my boss and then keep a running log of all the outgoing calls placed but not answered, incoming calls not answered, reminders for calls to make at a later date, and then mark completed/connected calls. I use a program called “Phoneslate” that I’m attempting to make a dupe on Airtable. Here’s my question: I would like to be able to enter in someone, let’s say “John Smith,” and then have a column where I can select any of the phone numbers linked on the record. As you can see in the example photos, I would like to add a column between the lookup “Company (from Person)” and “Notes”, where it’ll auto-pop up the 4 different phone number columns and I can select one of the linked numbers. I don’t need all of the numbers listed to appear in the grid, just the one that I would select as the best number
Many CRM projects fail before launch because companies focus on software first and people second. They buy a platform, add features, and expect instant results, but ignore training, workflow planning, and user adoption. When teams do not understand how the CRM helps their daily tasks, resistance starts early. Poor data migration is another major reason. If old customer records are messy or incomplete, trust in the system drops fast. Leadership also causes failure when goals are unclear or no one owns implementation. A CRM should solve business problems, not become another unused tool. Smart companies start with simple processes, clear onboarding, and gradual rollout. They also align sales, support, and marketing before launch. Businesses exploring eCommerce Salesforce Integration Services should remember that technology alone does not guarantee success. A CRM works only when strategy, clean data, and team commitment come first.
Using Page Designer to create station manifests for events and they look amazing on screen, not so much on paper. Only the first page prints, the rest of the pages are blank. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but still getting blank pages. When I print I see this instruction: “You’ll need to manually enable background images and/or background colors in your print settings in order to make the page print properly.” What does that mean? Where do I change this setting and how do I change it?
Hello, I tried to find out a solution the whole afternoon but I am not sure if it is possible, so I drop the question here, maybe there is something I am missing out. Table The idea is to get this form with conditional selector here (this is part of “add a new record form”) So basically, from the perspective of the user, ideally, he should get “Draft” selected on the approval selector, that would force only “planned” or “cancelled” on lifecycle, and depending on that, it also allows “not started” or “-” on the operational selector. Which should be a match with the table logic. Conclusions (they can be wrong)Visibility rules apply to the entire field rather than its content, so this is not a viable solution. Rollups? I’ve tried experimenting with them, but I couldn’t find a way to make them work in this context. I don’t fully master the rollup feature yet, among many other things. Creating a side table called “Project Status and Phases” and linking it to the “Project” table… mmm, kind
I am new-ish to Airtable. I am having an issue with creating a formula that give the correct output for contribution points acquired. I have a Total contribution points table, a points log table, And the master table with the contributors. I think I have the pieces in place but the category based formula is giving those with 1 point 100% and those with 2, 50% I am wondering if this is because along with a total count of all the points across all categories do I need to also collect the total points on another table of each individual category count? The current category count, counts only how many points a contributor has in that category. Secondarily, there is a weight to each category sor CAT 1 is 40%, CAT 2 is 40%, CAT 3 is 10%, CAT 4 is 10%. I hope this makes sense.
Hello, This is probably a recurrent question.I found this but I think it is not practical as it requires user interaction to filter by a checkbox (see: Hello,My idea is, considering the new AI features in place—particularly in a field agents scenario—to create a form to add a new record. This would essentially be a form to upload a document, along with a checkbox called “Auto AI Recognition” to enable or disable the field agents (I would use this checkbox as a trigger) to read the document and populate the different fields in the table as required. However, once the document is uploaded and the form is submitted, the form disappears. At that point, I would like to redirect the user’s browser to the newly created record so they can verify that the information populated by the field agents makes sense, and validate or correct it if needed. This kind of browser redirection does not seem to be available, as far as I can tell. As a result, it is neither user-friendly nor efficient, and I don
One of my Interface pages keeps crashing, and it’s affecting the performance of my other Interfaces as Airtable becomes unresponsive.
Hello,Is anyone else having an issue with the text overlapping in the bottom left corner in the Desktop app?
My referral transfer page is broken I can’t seem to transfer my credits to my workspace. Is anyone having the same problem?
Hi,I need to pad a number to a fixed amount of digits (8), i.e. prepend with leading zeros when the significant number is less than 8.This is easy enough to do for integers with a substitute formula:RIGHT("00000000" & {Test SUM},8)However, in my scenario I have decimals and that doesn’t work, since a number 10.00 will count as 2 digits while 10.11 counts as four digits. Hence the padding will be off.I can replace the decimal character for the decimals with something else than .00, but the .00 ones still counts as two digits shorter.SUBSTITUTE( RIGHT("00000000" & {Test SUM},8), ".", "")The above substitute/right formula gives this result. The .45 decimal number is otherwise right but has one leading zero too little. The .00 number is off by two positions to the right (should be 00012300). I tried to come up with a way to treat the integer part and the decimal part separately, but could not find a way with LEN/MID/LEFT/RIGHT to split up 123 and 00 to two separate parts. The de
Is there a way to add an outlook email as an attachment that can be opened and viewed later? Currently we can add the email in the attachment field but when trying to open it, it looks like gibberish. I can download then, but would rather not add that step to an otherwise simple workflow.
Hi,I’m a bit confused regarding exactly how to navigate the different situations when wanting to append data with Update Record automations. I see some seemingly random errors that I quite can’t understand. The basic use is clear, add “back” the existing data that was in the field, then add the new data separated by a space or by a comma if it’s an array. But, how to deal with these situations?you don’t know if there is existing data in the field, so which input variable do you place first? The variable for the existing data, or the new? I seem to get errors if having the existing data variable first, indicating it can’t fill first an empty variable then process the comma and the new data. if you use the values under FLATTEN in the variable token, should you use a space or a comma as delimiter? As FLATTEN transforms an array to a comma-separated string, shouldn’t one then use space? Or, should one not FLATTEN the data, and use comma for array?Rgds,Björn
Is it possible to access a shared interface page via the mobile app?
Hi!I am looking for a workaround, where I can turn a single record with multiple dates into separate records with a single date… new records are created via FillOut. we’re a charity delivering some programmes over multi week periods. An employee completes the fill out form, puts the dates they’d like us to deliver the programme on, and then submits the form. i can view all these dates via calendar view, but was hoping to view them via list view also but as they’re individual records it won’t work this way. sorry this probably isn’t making much sense but hoping someone will understand where I’m coming from…thanks!
I am trying to create a public interface, where I will allow people to search for submitted serial no.Only if you enter the correct serial number in full (without case sensitivity), a list will be shown for all records that matches the S/N you entered. Is this possible with interface?
I want to use the Record Review template to make a How-to Page for my CRM. Each how to Task is on the left nav bar but I want the user to be able to page through them with Next Page (Record) Previous Page (Record) Buttons at the bottom of each Task page. I know I can use a button to pull a URL from the current record but that reloads the whole page instead of just changing the section as if you used the sidebar nav. Gallery view has a kind of pagination feature but there’s less customizability in the page template then the Record Review module version. Any ideas? I’ve tried Omni prompts with bad results, but if you have one that worked for you I’ll gratefully take that solution. Please don’t respond with 3rd-party integrations as solutions.
I would like to sync a record interface between two interfaces if possible. I have just spent ages nailing down my interface only to not be able to use it on a separate interface. I have found a post from 2 years ago referring to the same issue but wondered if there was a solution around yet? For context i have a project editor view and have managed to sync this to a separate project viewer interface no issue, but i am currently making a task calendar where i want to be able to open the linked project in record view but in the same layout. Is it a case of having to replicate? Its the first limitation ive come across so far! Fingers crossed
I have a table (“Active”) with thousands of records, each with at least one photo, the table is refreshing more slowly everyday (we upload small file images). To help speed things up I have created a copy of the table (without data) and setup an automation to copy any given record to a new table (“Archive”) when two field values are met ( “status”=SOLD, and “Archive” checkbox is ticked). This is working now that I’ve mapped all of the fields from one table to the other. I want to continue the automation to delete the record (from the “Active” table) that has been duplicated from the “Active” table to the “Archive” table. Tutorials say to add an additional action, “Delete Record”, but I find no such choice when adding an additional action. It seems this should be an evident action, but I’m stuck. We have a “Team” level subscription so I’ve read the option should be available. We’re using Safari on Macs. All advice appreciated.
Hi,It seems that the Google Calendar: Create Event requires a hard coded (chosen) calendar to place an event in. We have used a shared calendar for this, but it gets somewhat messy.Hence, would it somehow be possible to have the event placed in a dynamically chosen calendar? Either <current user> or somehow derived based on a variable (e-mail addresse for example)?Rgds,Björn
Hello,We’re working on an Airtable automation and wanted to sanity‑check whether this setup is supported or if there’s a better approach. We have a table called Research plan with a linked record field (Research study) pointing to another table. In the Research study table, there’s already a Persona field populated. Our goal is: when a new Research plan record is created and a Research study is selected, automatically populate the Persona field on the Research plan with the Persona from the linked Research study. We tried doing this with an automation:Trigger: When a record is created (Research plan) Action: Update record (the same Research plan record)However, the automation fails with the error: “Updating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.”We’ve confirmed:The automation owner has edit access to both tables The Persona field on Research plan is not a formula or rollupIs there a limitation around updating the same record that triggered a “record created” automation, or a p
Hi everyone,I’m building a List Interface in Airtable and would like to know if it’s possible to freeze (or lock) the first column, similar to how you can freeze columns in grid views. When scrolling horizontally through fields in the List layout, the first column (which usually contains key identifiers like names or IDs) scrolls out of view, making it difficult to track which record I’m looking at.Is there a built-in way to freeze the first column in a List Interface, or any workaround that others have found helpful? Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions!— Sean
Our team has failed to access Airtable through the app but seems fine through desktop/browser. Has anyone run into the same issue? We are based in London, UK.
my organization does trainings and after each training, we send participants a post-survey to fill out. each training covers slightly different topics, so the questions we want feedback on change slightly with each training as well. right now, i have one table called post-surveys where each field corresponds to the questions we ask, and the field names are shortened versions of the questions. then we build the form for each post-survey based on which questions we’d like to include. the downside is that it means that table has a huge number of fields and it’s hard to see if the question you want to include already exists as a field or you need to create a new one. (e.g. “S3 FSOW: Challenges” means in session 3, we had a question about challenges that related to the reasons we did the session, you can see how that makes it hard to keep track of the actual question)i’d like to have a table that’s a list of the questions & what type of question they are, a related field for the trainin
Hello, I’ve finished testing my automations in the sandbox and have deployed the changes to production. Everything is working correctly, but I would now like to sync my test data from the sandbox to production. What is the best way to do this?
Hello, I have a workflow which includes repetitive data input. Simple copy-paste have some drawbacks.I have a table called Orders. Each row is one order which includes product, quantity etc. Each order requires multiple tasks to complete and there is a linked table for that called Order tasks. Orders come in patches with different products but every product tasks are very similar. I would like to configure first order tasks and then copy it to the rest of the orders. The problem is that then there are only first few tasks which are linked to ALL of the orders. Each order should have their own set of rows in Order tasks table.I have tried multiple workarounds but I haven’t found working solution. For example, duplicating rows in Order tasks table makes it very tedious to relink to correct row in Order table. I have also configured “allow linking to multiple records” but it seems to have no effect when copying and still links to multiple records even when not allowed. Is there some kind o
