I work for a small nonprofit and am trying to build a base to track our required legal filings. I have tried generating formulas and/or automations to help create an auto updating due date field but nothing that I have found to try is working. The base has 2 tables, one with list of the required filings and one with the submissions, linked to the proper required filing. On the required filings table I have a field with the current due date, a rollup showing the most recent submission date, and a single select field for the frequency of the required filing (annual, etc). I want the current due date to update when the year in the most recent submission and the current due date match. The new due date would be based on the single select field where Annual = advance 1 year, Biennial = advance 2 years, Quinquennial = advance 5 years, and One-Time = remove the date.  For example, if our Form 990 has a current due date of May 15, 2026 and is due annually, when we add the filing listing that i

I’ve recently noticed an error appearing in the developer console when running a custom block. This appears to be happening both in development and when released to the base.I am running the latest versions of both the block CLI (3.0.1) and the SDK (1.19.0). As far as I can tell, these messages are displayed when writing data back to the base, for example:table.createRecordsAsync() || table.updateRecordsAsync()Any insights into why this is happening, and how I can go about fixing the error? While writes to the base are seemingly unaffected, these messages are cluttering the console log, and if not relevant, should not be emitted to begin with. 

I’d like to build a base to track our produce prescription program. We have coupons with barcodes to distribute to the patients. Ideally I’d like the health worker to use a barcode scanner to scan the first coupon and the last coupon for each patient. Then I need to populate a table of all the coupons distributed within that range for each patient. I currently have a table set up for “patients” where health workers would assign the coupons. Then I have a table for “Coupons” where I’d like the records to be each coupon code distributed. Any help in how to do this would be appreciated!

This has been asked a couple of times with slightly different solutions, so seeing current thinking.I want to have an incrementing number that is specific to a group of records only. In fact I want 3. This is used to create unique names (don’t ask me what this client wants this!), but the number should increment if the record has a field set to x. So when grouped together, there is a sequential incrementation (1, 2, 3, 4,) , but others not in that group do not get that number. They would get a different increment (different field probably).My current thinking is to link the records to another table (using deep match?), identify the highest number of increment already, and then have an automation add to the new record ‘number +1’. Thoughts?

I could really use some help!I want my formula to return the correct Ship Deadline taking into consideration the time the order was submitted. If it came in before 4:00 pm on a weekday, it needs to ship the next day. If it came in after 4:00 pm on a weekday, it needs to ship in 2 weekdays.This screenshot shows that order 5014021 came in at 5:15 pm correctly shows it needs to ship 2 weekdays later. But for some reason, order 5014020 that came in at 7:15 pm on the same date is showing it needs to ship in 3 days instead.I can’t for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong. Formulas are not my strong suit so I use AI to help write them. Any advice here would be very much appreciated. Hi, I am looking for help with dates and quarters - we have several date fields across multiple tables that currently use each a LONG formula to calculate fiscal quarters (with specific start and end dates, not just first/last day of the month). I am hoping to find a way to use a table with start/end dates to populate the quarter fields in these other tables. I don’t want to use linked records, I think that would be too difficult to manage given our volume of data. I don’t think I can do it with a formula because I need information from separate tables. Is there a way to do this with an automation? Something like...when X date field is updated, find value from Y table?Thanks for your advice!

Hi,M problem is that [object Object] is displayed when trying to view the data from one row from one  column instead of text. The issue arises only on one new column on my table. The error comes via a connected application called Fillout, which I assume uses the standard Airtable API’s.Initially I thought it was taking time for the Airtable API interface to be updated. Then I thought I had better refresh the fields in the ‘connected’ to Airtable view on Fillout. But here I am days later without any clue as to what is still wrong. Before you ask, Fillout is happily returning data from a Long Text field in the exact same base and table. One of our team added this new AI auto-generated text field and this is the only field with this problem. The field editor permissions are the same ‘Editor and up’ on both old and new fields. Hi, I’m another newbie that’s too inexperienced with Airtable to find what I need in this forum. I have tried and tried to solve a problem I have but with no success so I wonder if anyone who knows Airtable well could help me please?I have managed to set up 1 master table and 3 other tables that have data related to the master table. All tables have a common record. I am trying to link the tables, as you would do for example in a relational database like Micrsoft Access, in order to create a view where for each line of data I choose/expand in the master table, the related data from the other 3 tables is also displayed. I just can’t get this to workI suppose the problem might be in the way I have tried to link the tables together?If anyone could spell out in very simple terms what I need to do to sort this out, I’d be very grateful. I have an Automation that sends an email when conditions are met that includes Update Record link for Fillout. Hi everyone 👋I’m trying to use Automations → “Generate structured data” to extract structured data from a file that’s attached to a record (e.g., CSV / PDF / image). My automation is simple: When a form is submitted → Generate structured data.The confusing part: when I select the Attachments field as the input, Airtable only lets me choose attachment properties like URL / Filename / Size / Type / Attachment Viewer URL / Expiring Download URL (see screenshot). It’s not clear to me whether the model can actually read the file contents, or if it can only see metadata/links.My questions: Is it possible for “Generate structured data” to ingest an attachment and parse its contents (e.g., read a CSV and output a JSON array)? If yes, what’s the correct input to pass: Expiring Download URL or Attachment Viewer URL (or something else)? We use Airtable to manage trailer rentals and insurance compliance. Customers periodically upload updated Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and we need to retain all past COIs for audit and compliance purposes. The issue is that Airtable automations overwrite attachment fields when updating records. When a new COI is uploaded, it replaces the previous file, which causes us to lose historical documents.What we want is for a “Misc Attachments” field to act as an archive, where: Any new file added to the COI field is copied into Misc Attachments Existing files in Misc Attachments are preserved No previously uploaded documents are deleted Requirements: Both fields are attachment fields in the same table The process should be automatic (triggered when a COI is added) The archive must be append-only (no overwriting) Preferably no third-party tools We are currently exploring a scripting automation that: Pulls existing attachments from the archive field Appends new COI files Writ

I have a database that is used to record the status change of projects and I need help with my automation. Currently I have an automation set up that is triggered when a record is updated (watching the “status” field); then it creates a record on my Change Log Table. I want it to record the “old” status and the “new” status in a field, along with the date the change was made and the user who made it. I am having trouble setting this up, can anyone help? I have a table of contacts that includes zip code for each contact. I want to provide a view of contacts for a given county. I can get a list of zip codes for the county, but it's too many zip codes to list each one as a separate condition on a filter.I thought about setting up a zip code table and using a linked record from the contacts table. Is there a way to create a new linked record field that links based on an existing already-populated column? There are too many records to select linked records manually.Or, is there a way to create a view with filter criteria that references another table?Thanks for any suggestions.

After someone submits my form, I want it to go directly to my designated redirect page. Instead, I’m getting this screen:How can I get rid of this screen so it goes directly to the page I set as the redirect? I have a lot of people filling out forms who are… let’s just say this is too much opportunity for them to click the wrong button or get confused. I need this screen to go away.

In my life outside all things Airtable I have a large collection of curated resources on Product Operations. podcasts, articles, resources I have created, along with my partner in crime on this venture. We want to create a custom GPT based on all this content that we can make available to our followers, peers and professionals. Does anyone have experience of being able to do this with Airtable? I think I can get the information into airtable using field agents to scan docs and pages, transcripts etc.  I would guess Omni would then take over and it would be used as the searcher and retrieves of summarized information. Thoughts?

I’m trying to extract information from within our confluence setup, using field agents to locate specific piece of information from a specified page (via URL). I got it to work once, but now it just says it cannot access the page, as if it has no authentication (which is probably true). Is there a way to provide it with authentication to go do what it needs to do? Curious how I got it to work the first time too

Hello! I am baffled by this issue. Essentially, I am creating a way for my office to check-out certain items (laptop chargers, phone chargers, etc.) using QR codes. I’ve got a form that allows people to use their phones (yay!), and I’ve got an array of QR codes that are just text based and give the name of the item, so every time someone scans them, the text pops up with the item name, and then they answer form questions like:whether the item is being checked out or backed in (the person enters this themselves), the name of the person doing the checkingAnd this is great. My fields track all the information I need, the QR codes work, etc.  BUT I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME LINK these records to my “Equipment” table, which I am making so our tech team can keep an eye on things like:Is this item available or checked out currently? Who was the last person to check it out? When was it last checked out?As you can see, I’ve tried a linked field, but I have to continuously select the Equipment N

I track media hits through a Base with 3 tabs/tables: Reporter Info, Media Campaigns and Articles. I’ve been trying to link these 3 tables so when I enter an article’s URL in the Article table, which also has columns for Media Campaign and Reporter Name, it will automatically fill the article URL and Reporter Name in the Media Campaigns table...and the article URL and media campaign name will appear in the Reporter Info table under the Reporter’s Name. I have managed to link the Articles table to the Media Campaigns, so the article’s URL will auto-fill but the corresponding Reporter field won’t automatically appear for that Campaign. And If I’m on the Reporters page, and select the reporter’s name, I have to enter the Media Campaign name, which then does auto-fill the article URL tied to that media campaign and reporter.But I want all 3 fields to automatically fill in the Reporter & Media Campaign tables, when I enter those fields in the Article Table. Is that possible?   

I have an Airtable automation where I : Filter participation records based on the type of participation. Send a recap email with details specific to each type. Currently, I want to update the record to mark the email as sent. Right now, I need to include the “Update record” action in every conditional block, because Airtable executes actions only inside the branch that matches.Question:Is there a way to have a single “Update record” action at the end of the automation, regardless of which conditional branch was executed (ex : where I wrote HERE on the picture), instead of duplicating it in every branch?I’m looking for a faster, cleaner solution to handle this “final step” without repeating it multiple times.  

Hi all, I am trying to create an automation such that when a person creates a new record in the projects table, a view is automatically created in the tasks table such that any records with that record are filtered to be the only records shown. I figured that this could be done with scripting, but I’m not sure how to create a view in the tasks table with a specific filter applied.

I have an automation that copies fields from one table to another once the checkbox is selected. One of the field is “Marketing, Communications & PR”. When the automation runs, it splits it into two items “Marketing”, “Communications & PR”. I want to have it as one sector when it is copied to the 2nd table. I tried some of the ideas mentioned previously but got confused. I can try “Marketing Communications & PR” which might solve the problem but don’t like it.Is it possible to solve this issue? Thanks a lot.

Hi, I used to be able to download CSV files, but without changing anything, I can’t do it anymore.When I select “Download CSV”, I don’t have the option to name the CSV and that made me choose the file where to save it.I tried with different browsers, private windows, different laptops, cleaning the cache and cookies. I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!
