Subrecords is the one aspect I don't like in Air Table and I am struggling with a case right now. Maybe somebody has a smart and simple solution. I feel my design is flawed but I did not find any other practical way to work this.Let's say I haveTABLE AField 1: Location name (text)Field 2: Sub-location name (text)Field 3: [Field 1] & [Field 2] (calculation field)Field 4:: A chekmark field to filter out sub-records, so I can a list of records without seing all the time I repeat Field 1.TABLE BField 1: Area code (text)Field 2: [TABLE A Field 3] (linked) What I would like is a list of unique records of Table A Field 1, with all the linked records in Table B Field 1.And I can't seem to find a simple solution.

Hello! I use an automation email to send information to team members. This includes some really long URL’s. Just for the sake of keeping that email tidy, is there a way to hyperlink some text with the URL in the email? So instead of saying “Click this link: (long URL)” the word LINK would be hyperlinked to the URL? Thanks!

I built a base for a project, and shared it with several users with editor privs. I added them to my own workspace, and thus assumed responsibility for the cost of their (Pro) accounts. There are a lot of bases in my Pro workspace, but I'm only sharing this one base with these users (i.e. I'm NOT sharing my whole workspace).The project has now come to an end and I want to stop paying for these users but I'm a bit unclear about how to proceed.If I unshare the base with them (leaving myself as the only user), does that remove them from my workspace as well? More important, does it mean that I'm no longer paying for them?If I unshare the base, what happens from their perspective? Do they still have accounts? If so are those accounts downgraded to free accounts?Those are my urgent questions, but I just thought of something else. I cannot figure out how to filter all entries where “date” is the current month.

Is there a way to customize what fields are visible/hidden in an expanded record view for linked records? If I’m just in an expanded view, I can hide/unhide fields in the dropdown for each field, like so: But if I’m in the expanded view for a linked record, that option goes away: Screenshot%202|309x500 Field visibility doesn’t appear to be related at all to field visibility on the table I’m linking to. For example, I have admin start date and admin end date both hidden on the view this record is linking to, but they’re visible in the expanded view for that linked record. Any suggestions? Hi,Currently, I use automations to create Google Calendar events from new records in Airtable. I prefer to manage the events directly from Google Calendar. I find moving events (jobs) is more fluid than doing so in Airtable. What I need is to create an automation that updates an Airtable record when a Google Calendar event is updated. I would assume the trigger is - GCalendar update and I would think I need to find and match the airtable record to the GC event. I stumped on this part.  

Hello,I am new to Airtable, and have started to import data from my existing data stores. As part of my import, I would like to import and sync data from two different google sheets into one table in Airtable. The first sheet contains all of our customers and their data, the second sheet contains the results of a survey, which was only filled out by a subset of our customers. If a customer fills out the survey, I would like to include their responses in the resulting table with their other data.Is there a way to do this?Tom S

Hi, Using the formula below I have an ERROR value issue when there is no date value available for {last deal stage change}. Hi Community, I have 5 fields (checkbox) that can be selected or not, I need to assign a status triggered by these fields, if any field of the 5 is selected then a status will be set and if no one is selected It will assign a different status. Thanks for the help.

Hi all: I'm trying to simplify the process of converting a short ID code to a longer ID code inserting leading zeroes where needed. The ID codes are structured to track Week, Day, and Segment numbersFor example, if the input data is 1.2.3 (week 1, day 2, segment 3), the necessary output needs to be formatted W01.D01.S03The wrinkle is that while day and segment are always going to be a single digit, the week value could either be one digit or two digits. I've managed to get it working with a series of breakouts that takes the input field, breaks out the week, day, and segment into separate field, adds leading zeroes where necessary, then concatenates them back into the final output id. But it takes 8 separate steps/unique fields to accomplish.  I'm looking for a way to do it in fewer steps. Here's how I have it working currently:Input: "ShortID" (e.g. 1.2.3, 12.7.1) -- manually entered 1) "BreakoutWeek"   LEFT(ShortID, FIND(".", ShortID) -1) 

Hello, I'm trying to check if my "inputValue_1" field occurs in a string pulled from a lookup field (named 'test' in the screenshot below). I'm trying to use this to check if inputValue_1 has a valid input, as defined from this lookup field.The formula I'm using is `FIND({inputValue_1}, {test})`, which should ideally return the position where `inputValue_1` occurs inside of `test`.  I've tried SEARCH(), but just get errors. This leads me to believe that FIND() is right, but something is off, since I am just getting position zero no matter what. I would expect `new south wales` to return 1, and `victoria` to return 18. Any help is appreciated.

I have addresses in multiple lines and am using REGEX EXTRACT in Airtable to separate the components (street address, suburb, state, post code) before sending them on for shipping labels.I've used REGEX_EXTRACT({text input}, "^(?:.*\n){1}") to extract the first line and this works in most cases except when the street address is over two lines (see example B).Can someone please help me with a REGEX EXTRACT that extracts every line except the last line (whether the address is 2 or 3 lines)?Or is there a simpler solution I'm not aware of? Example A1 Test StreetRichmond, Perth 3021Example B1 Test StreetUnit 6Richmond, Perth 3021For reference on how I'm dealing with the rest of the components...I've used REGEX_EXTRACT({text input}, "^.\r?\n(.)") to extract the last line (Subrub, State, Postcode) and then used REGEX_EXTRACT({text input}, ".*(\d{4})") to extract the post code.Once I have the post code I'm matching it against a database to find the Suburb and State. Hello,I have a multiselect column "Products" with empty, single, or multiple strings of product name inside.E.g. Xbox 360, PS4, etc...I want to create a separate column's, based on data from another table, that would take into account that column.1. Would calculate number of separate strings (Clear)2. Would replace string with number (Price of that product) (Data of price is stored in another table)3. Would calculate total sum of all those product prices. How would you recommend to achieve that, via Replace, Scripting or something else? And how? Would highly appreciate help!

Hi Airtable Community!I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with this formula. We are changing our pay rates on April 1st and I want to program my payment field to reflect this change. My table has a date field called "Fecha !!!" and a lookup field for our new rates and our old rates.If the record has a date before April 1st I want it to use the old rates. If it has a date on or after April 1st I want it to use the new rates. Here's what I have so far! I'm a beginner! Thanks for your patience and  advice 🙂

Seems like it should be easy. I want to display the "Ending Balance" field from my most recent record. The summary type for monetary records doesn't have an option for most recent record. But the date record does have that option. So I can display the most recent date, but I want instead to display the Ending Balance for that record. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

I've tried searching this, but can only find where people link two tables, then manually add the relationships for each record.This is my situation.  I have two tables.  One is a list of addresses (123 main st, 234 main, 345 main, etc) and also has owner name (multiple addresses can have the same owner), the other table is owners and info like phone.  I wanted to just link the two tables by owner, so in the owner table, if I click the owner name, it will show all the properties they have.  When watching videos, it seems I have to do this manually by adding each building to the respective owner.  Is there a way that I just link the table and it happens by itself?  I have thousands of records so I can't do it one by one.

My goal is to use Airtable to manage orders of materials. The idea is to invite people in charge of the orders as full users in the paid plan, and create a shareable link to a form which could be used by others in our org to order materials - therefore they need the ability to create records through a form only.The people making orders do not need or want to use airtable - they just need a channel through which to make orders. They would be using these forms only very occasionally, like once a month or similar. Also the group of people is large, up to tens of different people with occasional needs.The people managing the orders would be active users of Airtable.Is it possible to use Airtable in this way or would we be billed for every single person who has access to the form? Obviously we don't want to pay hundreds of dollars per month for the ability to interact with Airtable forms every now and then.

Hello - I am clear on the subtleties of Workspaces and chargeable collaborators, but one point remains unanswered.Does the top-level 'account holder account' have to feature as a collaborator in any or all of the Pro Plan workspaces that sit under that account? In other words, can I: make one of the collaborators a second owner of the workspace (assuming the workspace was created by the account holder) then ... delete the account holder as a collaborator on this workspace I don't have an environment in which to try this on my own at the moment.Thank you!  

I'm missing two fields plus two new ones (4 Total) I have created in PowerBI from Airtable Base's. I'm extracting data from many Bases's, and only have a problem with a certain one. That data isn't special, the fields are simple "Single Select" Fields.I get no error's in the PowerBI query, it just doesn't show the four fields.

Hi allI've just got into scripting, and have fallen at the first hurdle. I thought this would load an array of all my records as objects, with each field in the object with its value as a a key value pair. let table = base.getTable("Contacts");let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({fields: table.fields});console.log(query.records); However, it only seems to load the record id and record name. All other fields do not seem to be within the object.I have tried specifying the exact fields in {fields: table.fields}, and then console.log(query.records[fieldname]), but this also returns undefined. I'm coming from Python to Javascript, and I'm not a proffessional.
