Thanks in advance for any help, I am new to Airtable and to using formulas at all. Having trouble figuring this one out, but I’m sure it’s a simple solution. Context: I grow mushrooms, 3 different strains (K, B, L). Every day I prepare a new batch (8 bags, same strain). Every week I prepare 5 batches, 1 batch per day, mon–fri. I need to create a unique record for each batch. Currently, I am using a concatenate formula to combine the strain code (K, B, or L) with the week number it was created. i.e. K.40 My Problem: 2 days of the week, I will repeat the same batch (strain type) I did earlier in the week, which leaves me with two instances of the same thing (K.40). I need a formula or combination of formulas that can identify when the same batch code has appeared twice in one week, and then assign only the second instance of that occurrence with a (.2) i.e. K.40.2. I'm trying to do this exact functionality from excel, within airtable: Dependent Drop Down Lists Essentially, the single field drop down list will update depending upon the input to another field, as seen below Fruit & Vegetable have two different list options. Is there an easy way to do this, maybe through linking back to a key in another table? Any suggestions help!   

I’m trying to create a formula field which calculates the number of days in a specific month between two dates. For example, the date range 2020-01-27 to 2020-03-12 has: 5 days in January 29 days in February 12 days in March So in a formula field calculating the “January Days” between the two dates, the value would be “5”. This has me utterly stumped, can anyone help?

Hello'I am trying to create a table 'Customer Interested Events' which maintains basic customer information (customer e-mail is PK) and additional fields  (selectable fields) 'Event Category' , 'Event Location'.Based on the customer interested events another table 'Event Manager' would be populated which is linked with above table 'Customer Interested Events'. Purpose of this table is to assign a suitable manager against each Event Category. The PK in this table is a computed field "Event Category+Location" and has additional fields like 'customer name', 'location','event category' (lookup fields from the linked table), 'event manager'.I am trying to maintain one unique record against each (event category, location) with all corresponding customer names, locations merged in the respective fields (if multiple customers booked for the same event category, location) so that one manager can be assigned.While merging customers against an (event category,location), I could see PK 

Hi! I'm pretty new and having difficulty figuring out the logic of how to write this: (single select) Status = "review 1" or "review 2" (Long text) Feedback must not be blank If the above is true then it should provide an output of - "Ready!"And then preferably the errors can drill down to the exact issue..If the status is neither of those - Error, wrong status! If the feedback box is blank - Error, missing feedback! This seems simple but I can't seem to figure out the correct formatting to return correct results. What a ride so far. I would need some advice on best proceeding to finalize my script.Context:I created a script triggered from a button, to match client records with potential real estate properties, based on a set of preferences such as the number of bedrooms, the type of view, or some house features. The script does the following steps:- Fetch the criteria value from the record used for the automation (the client)- for each record in my property listings, it calculates a base score for each criterion (0 to 10)- It applies a weight point system to the criteria scores and outputs a Total property score (normalized from 0 to 10)- I then slice the top 10 properties and link the IDs to the client record under a specific linked field. Can't lie, as a no-code person, it took me a few days to get there.Currently, the criteria weight points are fixed, and stored in a const. Can anyone spot any glaring mistakes in this formula? Hi Everyone! For our base, we do a lot of emails out to external people (students, contractors, etc.) . We generally want them to reply to our emails and so we set up other automations to bump them if they do not fill out a form. One issue we have is that often times people will reply to our email but not fill out the form. We're not currently able to address that - and so have to manually record that they've replied in the base so that we don't bump them. Has anyone found a workaround to track "email replies" such that we don't keep bumping them? I know usually this is done by attaching some sort of cookie to an email or similar. I know this is possible in Hubspot sequences, but I haven't found a similar solution in Airtable. This would be a big win if we could have something like this! 

Hi everyone,I was wondering if we would be able to automatically add an URL as an "URL-Attachment". This way I would be able to fetch a QR Code image and have it in my table.I could not find anything online. Thanks in advance for the helpThis is my problem, and I know how basic it sounds but I haven't been able to get this done! I'm creating an automation and Im setting it up so when a record matches a condition (WPM (numbers column) is not empty AND is less (<) than 35) updates a record (Candidate stage (simple selection) to --> Rejected)But what it does is its sending all numbers (less, equal, higher) to Rejected except when WPM is empty (at least that worked) I've troubleshoot as a maniac and nothing seems to work out - Any idea?

I am confused. I set up an UPDATE RECORD AUTOMATION that seems to work in my 2 test tables, but it still creates error messages sent to me by Airtable.I have two tables to test this: The first one is CONTACTS MAIN with the following fields: This is the second table: CONTACTS AUTO with the following linked field and lookup fields. This is an alternate version of CONTACTS MAIN with EMAIL as the primary field, which I need for certain tasks. The second CONTACTS AUTO table links to the primary NAME field of CONTACTS MAIN and pulls in all the other information as lookup fields.I need to keep the two tables in sync. So, I created automation. Whenever I add a record to the main table, it creates the same record in the second one. I also set up an automation that updates every record in the second table that I tweaked in the first one. This automation also works, but it creates Airtable error notifications.Would someone with automation knowledge be kind enough to review what I did? I

Hi there,I want to create a new field called "Original Start Date" and this will be populated from the "Start Date" field when someone enters in a new project.  Like a lot of projects the Start and End date moves a lot.  We want to reference back to when it was first originally entered in.Where do I start?  Do I create a new field in the "Projects" table called "Original Start Date" and then create an automation the populates this from the "Start Date"?I was referencing this article that mentions creating an automation.But I don't know the steps in connecting the two.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Hello,I am designing a base that needs URLs with markdown in this format:[text to display](https://my.url.com)However, when I try that... that's exactly what it looks like. I'm using long text fields with rich text enabled. I've tried a bunch of variants, including many I've seen in this forum, and it never shows display text -- always just the text exactly as entered. Whether or not the URL is interpreted as a URL is also an issue. It works sometimes, but no others. I'm using google Chrome for what it's worth. Is there an issue with my syntax?Regards,Scott

The record limit will not allow me to see my task. I have the free version so I deleted some completed tasks, so I'm able to see my task list but it still will not let me see because of the limit. Please anything that could help me view this again without upgrading the service. 

Airtable have recently released a new popout feature for the calendars in interface designer.When clicking on a record in the calendar element, a new popout appears before you can get to the record detail view. To get to the record detail you have to click the expansion arrows in the top right of the popout:How can this popout be disabled and go back to how Airtable used to work where you clicked on a record in the calendar and it would take you straight to the record detail?

I want a function that would return "Store D" in the example above.MAX(Store A, Store B, Store C, Store D) will help me identify the highest price, but it returns the $5 value, not the field name Store D. Hello,I'm reaching out for help on Interface Design ---> How can I add an editable checklist into my Interface? I keep running into problems (outlined below). If there's a simple way to add a checklist of, for example, 10 items, with an editable checkbox by each one that would be great.Attempt 1: Use the "checklist" markdown formatting in a text box. While I am editing, I can check/uncheck boxes, however, when I publish the Interface and attempt to change the checkboxes in the live interface, I can no longer edit them. (Meaning, only "editors" can check/uncheck boxes, but normal Interface users cannot). This is the feature that uses the checkbox in a text list instead of a bullet or dash.Attempt 2: Inserting a "checkbox" field into the interface as an element. I figured I could just insert the checkbox from a "checkbox" column into the Interface, but the formatting doesn't work. To group records for planning purposes, I use a unique code for each record, then a custom text field to assign one of those codes to records that need to be grouped. This is for planning vegetable plantings with multiple vegetables in a plot. Here's an example of how that works:Where ID + Field Date is generated, and then I manually assign one of those codes to "planning ID" where those crops need to be considered as a group for certain planning activities. For planning purposes, I have a view that groups crop/records by planning ID. I also have one that sorts by crop in alphabetical order. However, I need a visualisation that does both - e.g. I need to be able to sort by crop AND visualise the other crops that are grouped by the same planning ID. I don't necessarily need an easy link to those other relevant records, but it'd help hugely with Day-to-Day if I can find "Bush Bean Xera - 300 Transplants" alphabetically, and easily see the names of the other records it rela

On this view,I need to create groupings based on the Max Price and Listing Price.The amount should match, but when I tried to do the grouping it did not show the correct numbers.here's the current setup.  Here's the outcome.The Max Price Should be $280k but why is it that the Listing Price of $285k was included on this group which supposedly was not? 

Hi,I am trying to create a table that has one input field - the name of a product. This field is used to look up the article number of the product from another table - the catalogue. I then want to use the article number to look up data from a third table, which will tell me whether this product is in stock or not. I don't want to use a second input field to keep the use of the table as simple as possible.Can you help me out with a solution to my problem?Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi all - I've noticed a new issue in interfaces. When I add a text element, it does not expand to show multiple lines of text. In the screenshots below, see that I've added a text element containing a bulleted list with two lines. They both appear when I'm clicked into the text box (although the blue box only surrounds the first line), but as soon as I click out of the text box the second line disappears. I cannot find a way to resize it. Didn't the resizing used to happen automatically as more lines were added?I feel like this has just started happening recently. Has anyone else noticed this issue?Thanks,Kelsey

Hi All, Wanted to ask for help on how I can approach this. I have 4 coulmns (A, B, C, D) - I want to check which columns are not empty. Example, A has a value (Apple), B, C are empty, D has a value(Orange) I have another column called Summary. I want to display columns that have value.
